  • Seems like a decent deal-some selling on eBay for 650+

Is this deal going to get "brodened"

    say waaaaaaaaaaa

    • Its ok if youhave an older iphone, car system that can be easily ripped out, and dont care too much about adding other apps but it isnt exactly something professionals would want.

  • Does not work with iPhone 5 though….

  • That review isnt exactly glowing. Lots of limitations and gui idiosyncrasies. Only 4 third party supported. And for more to work the developer has to add specific support for this device.

  • Why no android support??? I would have bought it….Oh well, I can't be a doof-doof person now…

  • This also appears on the pioneer online store for $199 occasionally. There were 20 odd available on Saturday, with the 30% off sale they have on brought them down to 139 but they seem to be all gone now. Must have been brodened

  • the video review is crap. showing more of the couple hanging around instead of features of device

  • i just bought one, looked to go through just fine.

  • I bought one for that price 5 months ago and installed it myself. A lot of complains saying how it doesn't work with iPhone5 but I just bought an older iPod Touch for $100, load it with songs, music videos, apps & GPS, and keep it permanently inside my glovebox. For a total cost of $300, I got a 6.1" double din touch screen unit with GPS. Not too bad I think.

    • I'm not sure how you got GPS with an iPod touch since iPod touch does not have build-in GPS. Neither does this dash, it only has a GPS antenna.

      • I assume the inbuilt antenna from the Appradio has enabled GPS to work on my iPod Touch? I am 100% sure it works as I am using the GPS every morning on my way to work. No internet connection requires and both NavFree and Pioneer's Navgate app work perfectly fine.

  • this looks good.. i have an iphone 4s but wouldn't bother with the apps. looks like the inbuilt gps navigation works without an iphone connected and you can just use bluetooth for phonecalls and music. pretty bloody good deal really.

  • Can you get a reverse camera to work with it?

    • Nvm, looks like you can. Shame about lack of iphone 5 support though.

      • Yep. I rather pay more and get the new model!

This would have been great if I have an iPhone 4 since that is the only way you can fully utilise the functions of this dash. But I don't.
I made a purchase on impulse and after careful research, I have cancelled the order.

A review which describes the functions quite well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=who0pkb4NT0

    What I found out:
-Without an iPhone/iPod touch connected, you only get to use it as a radio and bluetooth hands-free
-Pretty sure you won't get GPS nav on a iPod touch
    -No AUX-in or USB port
-Doesn't use the standard Pioneer connector for power, speakers etc.
-Needs to be engaged to a switch or the parking brake so that video (and some other functions) can be displayed

Too much trouble for me to be worth it ( I already have a standard Pioneer dash and Amp installed).

      • Pretty sure I am getting GPS signal when using with my iPod Touch. Been using it this way for the last 5 months.
      • I just connected the parking brake cable to an earth point and video works fine while I drive. Of course not when a cop shows up next to me.

Wow. Thanks! I might just get it then. Lol.
