WD 1TB MyPassport Ext. HDD for $49

16

hey people, i know this hasn't started yet but thought i should share it around or no-one will get a chance to get any (if you didn't know about it already).

I'm not sure on cost of shipping, but COTD is generally pretty cheap, and $49 for a USB powered 1TB drive is a pretty good deal in my opinion.

      • last time i got something similar from them shipping was somewhere along the lines of $12-$15 from memory.

Yeah the price is good… but the odds of you getting one is next to nothing. We have all seen these COTD sales before. They aren't bargains. They are bait-and-switches'.

    • i am aware of the fact its normally pretty hard to get a hold of some, but if you do its a good deal no?

I'm sure the majority of Ozbargain will agree this isn't a good deal. If it was from OW with stock across Australia sure… but from COTD on one of their gimmick sales, no deal.

        • 100% agreed

I won't be wasting my time again. Congrats to those of you who score 0.001 seconds after deal starts- all three of you.

are you sure there were even 3 to begin with?

This is not a deal. It's a competition.

if i was that fast and that lucky i would definitely go for the ipad mini for $199 and not for the hard disc

  • Here we go again……

  • Not a bargain, should be moved to the forums.

  • Very limited stock

  • sigh thought i actually posted something pretty reasonable, i dont see the issue here, its a good price, just need to be on time for when the sale starts, same as at a lot of websites.

    • U serious?

    • Pls post your receipt or tax inovice after you get one then we will apologize.

      • I'd also like to know the exact time a successful purchase was made. I was on the confirm button at 8 seconds after official start time and that was too slow.

everyone is just mad because they always get the rug pulled out from under them when they've got the item in their cart ha ha!

    • +1

the "just" in your sentence is not a simple "just", nothing personal against you and personally nothing against COTD's normal deals(the last 2-3 times i've scored good bargains) but i have never had the chance to get a Catchapalooza item in my basket! And i'm not saying proceeding to checkout, if you "just" manage to add this item to your cart then go to the closest casino, it might be your luckiest day!!!

  • low stock and too competitive.

  • Competition, not a deal

    • +1

You'd have a better chance of getting one if it was a competition…

  • On sale March 26.

    • i did say this deal was not available yet in the description…….
