  This is basically the same as the save 20% deal that was on the other day. Still decent but the save 20% is better if you don't reach exactly $500.

  The 20% off deal is better, because the $500 deal does not include taxes. But it may be revoked soon as it was just re-posted on Flyertalk.

  do you need to spend $500 per room, or $500 per total booking? I just tried it on 3 rooms for 2 night (ie total was over $500, but each room did not reach $500) and even though it said the hotel i was looking at was participating hotel, there did not appear to be any change in the price one the code was entered.

  Looking at my booking for a Hotel in Reno Nevada later this year, Expedia and hotels.com were both considerably cheaper than what ratestogo quoted for the same dates, even with 20% off the ratestogo price the others would have still been a fair bit cheaper.

  Cheers. Got an excellent deal on short Sunshine coast stop, original price was exactly $500… and none of the other travel sites I checked were even close to offering the same hotel for $400.

  Make sure you check with Trivago.com and Hotelscombined.com to make sure you're truly getting a bargain!
