$50off RRP for the 16GB (similar discounts for other models as well).

Stock levels can change quickly so grab one if you want.

You don't get a fancy new box but you still get 12-month warranty.

4.5% rebate from starthere.com.au up until 31 March which would make it a bit over $300.

  • Just because a used item is slightly discounted from the brand new price doesn't make it a bargain. Doesn't even come with a box. If this price was for a brand new item it would be a deal.

    • It does actually come with a box, but as with all refurb Apple products, it is a plain brown box.

I agree though that it is no bargain.

Still more expensive than Kogan's offering last time

Right now you can also get one for $319 plus delivery

  • Kogan was cheaper and it was new
kogan same price + delivery now and its new

    refurb = 2nd hand

    • But also consider that, "All refurbished iPad models also include a brand new battery and outer shell." That comes from the top of the page on the apple refurb site. So the only thing potentially 2nd hand (aside from specs) about it is the screen and mobo. If there were any faults then they would have been replaced as well. It comes with the same warranty, you can still add apple care and you will likely get it quicker.

I dont understand why you wan to get refurbished when you can get the new one from almost the same price?

        Still 2nd hand

  • if it was around 270 to 280 dollars mark then it would be a better bargain. At this price, i might as well get it from Kogan.

Nice deal - Wouldn't worry about the people posting about Kogan's CURRENT price. They dont realise:

-Kogan products are not serviceable by AU Apple Stores
-Only 12 months warranty from Kogan
-You have to deal with Kogan crappy customer services (check all other OZb threads about this)
-$19 more expensive (for shipping to Melbourne) - ships from unknown location taking 2-3 weeks.

    Apple Refurb:
-Apple refurbs are practically brand new. You could challenge that refurbs are tested more than brand new units, the shell/screen & Battery are replaced brand new. Having done my fair few swapover of iOS devices in the past 3 years i challenge anyone to tell the difference between the 2 units.
-24 months AUSTRALIAN APPLE STORE WARRANTY - http://www.mactalk.com.au/content/apple-australia-quietly-ex…
-Free delivery from NSW Apple warehouse - TNT Courier and ships within 24 hours.

I would buy this over Kogan at these prices.

    kthnxbye.

    • I would doubt you would get 24 months warranty from Apple for refurbs though

      • Your statement is based on what?

  • I think it is a bargain. As good as brand new ipad with the same 1 year warranty which means a peace of mind for a year.
4.5% cashback from starthere hopefully works

Kogan may have better deal but the postage is far longer.

    Thanks, I apreciate it
