a little too early to post but it will be good for people who wanna hold the trigger and buy 2 weeks later from ikea.

its the usual eat at the restaurant, and get discount off for the price of the meal. there is a minimum spending of $125. and you must spend on the day itself.

edit: seems like only in Richmond and Springvale, VIC. let me know if i am wrong. Cheers !

Ikea food has taken a step backwards lately - e.g using powdered egg whereas in the breakfast when they first opened it was real egg.

They also had to pull horsemeat products from a number of stores and had their meatballs recalled in a number of regions because of trace bacteria. I used to be a fan…. now I will pass.

i thought a lot of guys would love to eat horse… you are what you eat. ;)

thought the eggs were ALWAYS powdered egg. Horrid stuff.

The horsemeat products aren't in the Australian IKEA stores, only the European ones.

      • and the poo cake

    • I see their bread get shorter and shorter, now it only half size of the sausage.

    IKEA Springvale (VIC) only?

    • Probably should be in the title.

Plus, you need to spend $125 on home furniture. I don't remember this being a condition previously

"there is a minimum spending of $125."

    That kills it.

  • include location

  • I read it was for Richmond and a minimum spend of $250 - no mention of it at Logan (QLD)… crap compared to the previous "eat your discount" promo's.

  • Minimum spend now?

  • Yeah, I see on the Richmond website that its $250. I have approximately $130 of items I had planned to buy so if anyone wants to tag along and buy as well on the one receipt then let me know.

  • see the link above, it says $125

last time, I boutht lot of chocolate, and I dont have to eat them at restaurant.

    • I would buy $125 worth of juices. They are not good value, but you might as well get something.

    • Do they let you abuse it to that extend? It is called eat your discount not takeaway your discount.

  • Im pretty sure I seen this in SA adelaides Ikea recently, But was only $50, not 100% tho…

  • Bring some food containers and ask for "$125 worth of meatballs, thanks"

    =D
