    Nothing major AFAIK, apart from higher power consumption. I just got a n40l 250gb off ebay for $229 shipped.

      Difference between the N36/40/54 is the processors power, the N54l has a higher clocked CPU meaning better for more intensive tasks. Power consumption is relatively similar on all the models.
