    Checked three stores this morning in Sydney's south. One on the dot at opening time and two within 30 minutes of opening. Not a single $100 card available. Plenty of $250 and $50 cards, but no $100. Had a good look through the entire card display too in case someone hid them behind other cards. Nothing to be found.

          The demographic that buys these do travel to buy them up in all areas, often bringing multiple people and their own stock. It's funny when they try buying them in a store that is sold out and get the third degree about where they got them from.

    Had plenty at SB Hills Coles during opening but nothing for other two Coles nearby (Garden City and Pinelands).
    Managed to get 10 with 2 accounts, worthwhile with 3x points on my CC to pay tax.

      You should still get the points, you won't get any more points if you have already bought 5 so don't buy again.

      get a little points on card value itself. I had once staff noticed one card $250 error then cancelled & refunded by (not real) cash, then load another card & take cash back. next day I saw 250 points extra. :)

    bought 5 cards this morning and all 5 failed to activate.. apparently I will have to contact Coles customer care and they will send an email to the store to approve the refund back to me so I will have to go back to the store for this.

    annoying. Has anyone faced this issue before?

      The only time I experienced a card failing to activate they did the refund on the spot.

      Check the balance on the site. Often they are activated even though it said failed.

      I've had it before with 1/5 cards. The customer care team asked for a receipt and bank details and refunded the amount I paid.
      It was a pain, but it was clearly a process they knew and had done before.

      Yeah I use these in Sniip to bpay my super.
      Just have to do a ID KYC check with your license to be able to add prepaid cards to Sniip.

    I bought x5 $100 gift card yesterday morning

    PSA: I always used those to pay my Medibank premiums (you can pay arbitrary amount up to year's worth), and had no issues.
    This time it fails and returns code 05 "Do not hounour".

      I too just tried to pay my Medibank Private premiums…initially I though I inputtted the wrong card number but triple checked it was correct…rang to get balance on card to find out it was declined by MP. :(

    2 lady on the customer supports are contradicting themselves. One said it will show up in 24 hours, while other said you need to wait 45 business days. Hopefully Not !

    All this drama for One pass activation via flyby.

      Sometimes it is delayed during promo, just wait for another day your points should be added. Usually points will be added the next day evening but during promo it may takes 2-3 days for bonus points to be added.

    My local Coles has invented a new rule, at least I hope it's just them. Was purchasing the $100 version of this card using the $100 SB Fast Food card and $5 cash. The service manager said they have a new rule whereby you cannot buy each card individually. I said I was gifting them to different people and wanted each to have their receipt in case something went wrong with the card. He said the reason was that this is something that scammers do.

    Also recently the POS machines started to inform the assistants that the maximum number that can purchase has been reached. Previously I could purchase 10 as some just did not care or did not know.

      Buy one, leave the store. Walk back in, buy another one. Repeat.

      Or better yet just do your shopping at another Coles.

      My local lets me buy whatever I want, pay with whatever I want. I go thru the checkout attached to the service desk with the staffer who knows me. Been shopping there for years.

      Staff making up stupid rules can go to hell.

        Coz one person above says worked. It doesn't mean Restaurant Choice will work. It makes sense that SB and BHN limit the denomination under $100 to avoid being exploited.

        In the same way, the Pets and Vets may be used out of the mentioned MCC range as there is denomination limit. The denomination for all other eGCs in this series is up to $1k.

        I think the commenter is referring to the times Coles ran upfront discounts on Coles Mastercard gift card offers in-store in 2023, as those were limited to 5 gift cards per Flybuys account per day. The last such deal was this time last year.
