    All I want is 1/2 price Connoiseur ice cream! :)

  • +3

    starting to get sick of Woolworths and Coles specials. It's always multibuys, I don't want two of something, I WANT ONE! GIVE ME A SPECIAL FOR A SINGLE ITEM, DON'T ATTEMPT TO SUCKER ME IN TO BUY MORE THEN I NEED/WANT!

    • the only multi-buy i can see that i can see interesting is the tuna, are you referring to that?

      i cant eat 4 cans of tuna at once (maybe over 1-2 weeks), but hey, i can leave the tuna around for months and it wont go off, so its not that bad.

      • Well for a start, the soft drink cubes are multibuy, though they have been that way for a while.

      Your bitching rant FAILS.

    • It's one thing that I loved about living in America…. $2 for a dollar on the ticket? I'll buy one for 50c then! Wish they employed the same tactics here

      • +2

        $2 for a dollar

        Right, can I have $2 for $1? :)

        • I really don't pay attention when I type lol

  • Thanks for the hard work

    • +4

      So you neg the whole deal?

      • +2

        As I don't shop at Woolies, I found the negative useful, I was going to go there and buy a few until I saw that.

      • It is important to let buyers know otherwise they could buy it for such a bargain without awareness of paying full price on it as below;

        http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/99195

        • +2

          More buyers would of seen your comment if you didn't neg.

        Actually last week we made it pretty clear with "Woolworths Uncle Tobys Muesli Bar 18pack (per $100 trans)", made it a bit different this week to make it even clearer.

        Not really a fan of this "spend $100 or more" model though… would $6 really be enough to draw that many more people in?

  • +2

    Where do these prices come from?

    Some are quite different to local catalogues.

    • what ever region the poster is from. up here in Darwin we generally have the same specials but bulky items and booze are not as good

  • +3

    I am also grateful for the hard work you put in, but would just like to mention one thing. Things like the Twinings/Moccona/Dilmah specials aren't actually all save $4.19, the catalogue states 'save up to $4.49'. The Dilmah 100's are usually only $4.84, so you're only saving $1.34 (http://bit.ly/YtyhVq).

    Sorry! I'm not trying to nitpick, just want to make sure people look out for things like that :)

      Nice to see someone crossing their teas.

    Thanks for the great work!

    Any possibility of getting IGA on here? I know they do some great butcher specials sometimes - thought other than that they don't really compete.

    • I'm guessing IGA's prices are not comparable because these guys are out to destroy them.

      • I live in Sydney City and our IGA is often cheaper, especially for fresh foods, Fish, meat.

        • And they are far less likely to use multi-buy deals.

  • Thanks for the hard work….always worth checking!

  • +2

    I got a little excited to see that the Quilton toilet rolls are the cheapest I've ever seen - until I opened the catalogue to see that it's only with purchases of above $100.

    ETA: The Chobani yoghurt at half price is good value - very yummy Greek yoghurt, 0% fat and you can control the sweetness yourself since the fruit compote is at the bottom. I also like that it's individual serves. The only supermarket one I'd buy currently.

    • Anyone can confirm if we can buy the Quilton for $6 as many as we want as long as we spend above $100?

      • +1

        Nope I believe it is only one $6 Quilton per $100 spent so if you spend $100 you can get one packet for $6, if you spend $200 you can get two packets for $6 each, if you spend $300 you can buy 3 packets etc etc

  • BWS Wild Turkey Bourbon & Cola 101 6.5% Cans 4x375ml … 1ea $42
    more than $10ea for a can? You can't be serious!

  • Blackmores odourless fish oil 400 capsules at 50% off -> $14.99
    Ostelin vitamin D 130 tablets at 50% off -> $13.99

    These 2 deals are very good but not listed here.
    Last time I checked they have plenty of stock for both.
