  • arrrhhh!! you beat me to it!

    • me too. :P

PennyTel stole my money when they closed an account because I hadn't used it for over a year, even though the credit was never supposed to expire.
They deleted all history of the account including all payments I had made.

    I'd never use them again…

I highly recommend MyNetFone for great prices and a very reliable VOIP service. (and they don't steal your money).
MyNetFone have some great plans if you go through Whirlpool…

I've never used these guys before, missed out on their 10m minutes offer despite registering…, but posted this as it was free, people liked it the last time and could use it via their app, etc.

      I'd highly recommend SKYPE ! :P

in typical fashion…. I complained to TIO and they cancelled my account!!

They did the same to me! If I had known that my credit had a 12 month expiry I would not have recharged with $50 at a time…

Valid "between 12.01 am Friday 19 April and 11.59 pm Thursday 2 May 2013 (AEST)"

You would have to have rocks in your head or desperately poor to have anything to do with Pennytel. Check with Whirlpool and you will see they are up to page 89 in the Pennytel down / faults thread. If you want great value, reliable voip MyNetFone Whirlpool deals kick bum.

    what does it mean by

"Remind us of your email and then call"

pennytel would be the worst company i have ever come across, and not just telco companies, im talking EVER!!!

rip off, keeps direct debeting without authorization, was free to port number then charged me to port number out??. STAY AWAY FROM PENNYTEL unless you want to be ripped off they charged me four times in one month for the same thing,

    • was free to port number then charged me to port number out??

      That almost sounds neg worthy,

  • I signed up for the 1 million minutes, but didn't use it
    But I got a second email 20% bonus when topping up $10-$50 between 19 April - 2 May 2013
    http://info.pennytel.com.au/10m-follow-up-offer-bonus-credit…

pop in your email address used for the 1 million minutes, topup & waalaa, $50 = $60 credit

JV, most telcos, shop credits, etc expire within 12mths of no use.
Whether it's legal or not, I have no idea (I suspect not), but it's not unusual.

    • I joined them because at the time, they said their credit never expired. Then the lied and stole my money…

  • I gotta say im loving TPG, have been with them for over two years, signed my dad and some friends up, never had any real issues…

    • *errmm dont know where TPG came from i ment pennytel…

  • how to make phone call? Do you have to put + country code and phone number or you still need to put 0011 + country code + area code and phone number ?

  • I stopped using PennyTel when I noticed I was getting charged a fee to put credit on my account (50 cents a pop). Screw that!

  • +2

i got offered 20% bonus credit on top ups

If you add $10 or more to your account balance any time between 12.01 am Friday 19 April and 11.59 pm Thursday 2 May 2013 (AEST), we’ll give you 20% bonus credit to use whenever you like.

  • i am using pennytel for very long time (8 years could be) and the savings I had on phone/pennysim (not anymore) are huge. Mynetfone also great but couldnt use as much as pennytel due to pennytel's free untimed was perfect choice/pennysim's conveyance.

things are getting harder with pennytel (like pennysim optus was gone/ pennytel planned to charge for DID) but if they go out of business, it is going to be huge loss for many consumers.

  • Bleh

  • I am forget using pennytel how many years, I got a DID number as user account. compare price and quality, fair enough.
