  • maybe you can try to post a few that is 80% off because I tried very hard to find one…

  • $20 for a crop top (rrp $80). I think their sale prices are what their prices should be :P

I got lots of stuff in the last sale so better not get anything else.

I purchased a few items in their last sale - but via their ebay store which has free shipping.

IMO 2xu clothing is way overpriced - the quality of some of their products is not that great.

    • Perhaps you could leave a review on their site of the specific clothing you bought?

    • agreed and their sales are mainly odd sizes that don't sell.

      • We actually have tons of Mediums, Larges, etc depending on what you are looking for. I recommend using the size filters on the left hand side to find your size :)

For the uninitiated - compression product has come from the medical world.

You measure compression by atmospheric pressure rating (mmHg i think is the abbrev)

Medical compression starts from about 20mmHg and goes to about low 30s.

In the sports compression market, and in no particular order, the pressure rating of the various products out there is:

    Skins 17
    Canterbury 14-15
    2XU 23
    Under Armour 17-18
    Nike Pro 14

Basically the higher compression is derived from a more 'powerful' fabric (which will also be more durable)"

    Zips and stuff not included.

I've had some Skins for a few years. But I stopped using them because I didn't actually notice any improvement in my running times or recovery.

Is there any actual proof compression wear benefits the user?

There is lots of research :) Check out the below link to see what the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) concluded based on their research. Enjoy!

Way to post deceptive graphs on your website. A 1% improvement from the data is depicted on your site as a 40% change in the length of the graph.

Attention anyone looking at that page. Make sure you look at the scale bars. They don's start at zero!

        • Wow those results are so hideously exaggerated.

A whole 4 watts more power for cyclists! Who are already producing 308 watts.

          So about a 1% increase…

Also one of those graphs is basing "Soreness" on a scale of 1-5…what the hell does that represent??

This sort of thing is exactly why I stopped using them. The science is iffy.

They aren't really comfortable, and my run time was flat-lining anyway (the improvements previously could be attributed to my improving fitness).

I stayed at around the 8:00 minute mark for my best time for months, compression gear or not.

And well, recovery wasn't really an issue, I stopped getting soreness once my fitness improved.

      • Interesting to see the actual compression ratings above.

As a user, practical results are the best "stats"… compression are a "power band" gag.

Mid 30s, body feeling the wear and tear more.

Real stats show a few % difference, but for actual usage those few % difference is the difference between fatigue and well not fatigue.

  • Typical 2XU outlet sale - no surprises really

Note: for those of you who want to buy tri tops - I do recommend you to check out their shops instead, where you can actually try the tops/suits on. I ordered a top from 2xu website which didn't fit despite I have strictly followed their size guide

    • Hazard of online shopping

Compression/tight gear I always buy a size up.

I've tried my size, and I feel like those swimmers who suits split…

  • So what's the difference in Men's Compression tights between:

    Base compression tights
    Compression tights
    Recovery compression tights
    Thermal compression tights
    Elite compression tights
    Active Run tights
    Compression cycle tights
    Thermal tights
    Thermal cycle tights
    Micro thermal tights
and on the Ebay store but not the regular store: Thermal Run tights

Surely, I need one of each!

Hi! So basically if the aren't labelled "Compression" then they are tights that do not have compression fabric and you won't get the benefits of compression. To learn more about compression benefits, technology and research go here: http://www.2xu.com.au/compression
Recovery tights have a higher pressure rating so they are best to be used outside of your workouts to speed recovery. Elite have superior fabric offering an even more precise level of graduated compression. Hope that helps!

      • i need some thermal compression tights… Any deal at all?

    • i have other branded gear, for basketball. most compression that i have used/seen is designed for summer and generally thin, when using this gear in winter at especially 7-10pm it is rather cold if there breaks in training or any ventilation

seen a pic of cycle tights with extra padding, skinz i think

My UA compression shorts are regular but i need the length, when i bought the elite had extra ventilation for a man's jewels

    • The cycle stuff tends to have a padded bum region for extra comfort sitting on the seat.
The triathlon stuff tends to be be able to be used while swimming and is engineered not to retain the water.

  • Hey Rep, I made a couple of orders and messed up my sizes and colours, are you able to help?

    • Email [email protected] right away - hopefully they haven't shipped it yet. We have all hands on deck to get orders out as quick as possible.
