  • Hi Flingshot,

You might want to specify that the portable drives are the 2.5" USB powered types.

    Cheers!

A search for this item at stores near 'Sydney NSW 2036, Australia' shows that this item is not in stock at any store within 500 kilometres.

@pmupsinep - I think he would actually tell you he has had pretty amazing service to be honest even though he has been pretty unlucky. His original drive was faulty so we upgraded him to a larger capacity at a discount, that one then failed so we sent a replacement out. The most recent one is apparently having issues so we have offered a refund or replacement again but the drive has not shown up at the warehouse yet.

        • +6

I think it actually did but you can feel free to keep trolling…

        • -7

It was a long story but no it didn't. At the end of the day, a customer had to stalk you in deal comments to get his ticket responded to, and you label anyone who makes a comment a troll. Keep up the good work.

        • +5

That's actually fair enough, we had been waiting for the stock to get to the warehouse and the ticket was still open. Maybe calling you a troll was a little harsh I think neg farmer probably makes a little more sense ;)

        • your not making this any better for yourself, maybe just quit now @pmupsinep

    • +2

Just sent you an email again asking to send it back for replacement or refund. If you have already shipped it and have tracking let us know so we can chase it up.

  • Can the 2TB WD drives be opened up and used as an internal drive?

    • +1

Unfortunately not, the hard drive interface is USB 3.

  • Hi Rep, the 4GB RAM is it 10600 or 12800? The picture is not clear to read the full specs. Cheers

    • The RAM is 1666

  • Pretty sure I saw the WD 2TB Passport drive for $149 in JB if you have one nearby.

  • @rep, you're probably sick of hearing this but do you have any intention of bringing back some USB 3.0 flash drives?

    • +2

We definitely are, but we want to make sure the pricing is right. At the moment we would have to charge more than when were doing the lexar 16GB like 6 months ago.

  • wanted to buy from you flingshot, but ple is selling at $155.

  • Does anyone know if I could use the ram in a dell inspiron 1440?

Edit: I know the RAM has ran out of stock but just want to know which ram is compatible with my dell inspirion 1440 as I need to get more.

    • For RAM queries, you can just use the Crucial Memory Advisor (you don't have to buy Crucial)…
      http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=Inspiron%2…

      Results for Inspiron 1440 are:
      Memory Type: DDR2 PC2-6400, DDR2 PC2-5300, DDR2 (non-ECC)
      Maximum Memory: 8GB
      Slots: 2

So NO, DDR3 RAM won't fit/work in your case. NOTE: to use more than 4GB RAM, you need 64-bit Windows.
