I have seen a few reports of cheap arcade console bundles at Harvey Norman today so I thought that I would check it out and take a photo or two to help others get this deal. These photos were taken at Harvey Norman Nunawading (VIC).

It is part of their Super Saturday Sale which ends this evening. Includes

XBOX360 ArcadeConsole
Halo Wars
Sega Super Star tennis
5 arcade games

There were plenty left an hour ago when I checked them out. Hope this helps someone out.

    Yeah. Brisbane CBD was out when I got there at 11am but I got lucky with a nice sales person who put one on back order at the sale price.

    Just did price match at EB - happy to do it, did a trade back of all 3 games with Edge card and came to $163.50 for arcade :)
    Has it been any cheaper than that??!! It's a definite Jasper model which the assistant opened up to check for me :)

    Managed to pick one up at Harvey Norman Moorabbin (VIC) just before it closed. Going to Ebay Halo Wars 3 for $45 and Sega Tennis stars for $10, so my effective price is $173. Not a bad price at all!

      EB trade in as of today was $44 according to the staff for Halo Wars. That may be less trouble than ebay if your just going to sell it for $45

          well yeah, thats what she said. Worth calling in the morning and checking anyway in case I crossed a wire somewhere upstairs :)

          I was going to sell mine too but a family members going to buy it off me for around the trade in value.

            @Smigit: Yup quite right, trade in value of Halo3 was $44 + $4 with edge.

              @blublu: yeah for what it's worth it was higher than EB if the $44 is right. JB's was $35 or something if I recall correctly.

        If it shows 12.1A or 150w on your power brick then its a jasper. As usual, the upgraded/latest xbox 360, ie jaspers are claimed to be less prone to RRod'ing.

        Not For Resale is directed at the retailers. They will get stock of games (like Halo Wars) which are for sale as part of a promotion only. It just means they have to legally follow the rules set out by the distributor and not sell it by itself (they pay less per game and sometimes even nothing for promotional games than for normal ones).

    So you buy one and sell all your bundled games. What do you then do with your Xbox? What is the trade in price for the xbox? Can you make a profit on the whole deal? Should I have bought 50?

    PS I dislike the HN shopping experience too.

      you can probably make a profit out of it, lol. A brand new XBOX360 Arcade should fetch $200 on Ebay, Halo wars should get $50, all prices excluding postage so $250 in your pocket. If you can get them to pick up the unit you might even do better than that. But it's only $22 profit for a lot of work :/

      I'm flogging off all the bundled stuff and keeping the xbox only because I bought it just to play a few specific games (ie castlevania, GTA, etc)
