I wanted at least one to mount near the front door to provide guests with Wi-Fi access without them having to bother manually typing in SSID's/Passwords.

I have one at the front door. I tap it with my phone on the way out and it opens up "Offi Stations" so I can see which bus I should catch.

I have one on my car phone dock which turns off wifi and turns on bluetooth.

I have one on my dock next to my bed to turn on wifi.

Oh just thought of one. Put one on the coffee table in front of the TV. When you tap it, it opens up the TV guide.

          EDITED: Fixed grammar

        • Brb, buying more.
Can I ask what you used to program them?

I've got one hidden behind a picture of me and the Mrs and I left her a message. Got me a few brownie points that night.

There are so many uses… Just use your imagination.

I was considering buying a roll of the waterproof ones and placing them near restaurants I frequent. So I can check in with apps as I enter.

    • The tags were bent when I received mine. Only one out of three worked.

  • compatible with galaxy nexus?

    • Yes; I've got a Galaxy Nexus (enable NFC option in settings) and what I've found so far:
      - NFC Task Launcher (Free) will do most simple tasks.
      - Tasker ($3.49) will do more advanced stuff (you can launch "Tasker" tasks via "NFC Task Launcher" for seamless goodness)
      - InstaWiFi (Free) will provide Wi-Fi QR codes/NFC tasks.
      - WoL Wake On Lan Wan (Free, but has to be used in combination with "Tasker") will turn on your computer remotely.
User wonderboy suggests PcAutoWaker (Free) will do the same thing, but based on Wi-Fi connectivity (which will save you using an NFC tag)
      - And finally Puzzle Alarm Clock (Free) will allow you to snooze/silence an alarm via an NFC tag.

After submitting PayPal details it says they are out of stock :(

Same problem. Was surprised they didn't have a CC option.

  • I'm seeing stock on the link provided but there is no option to add to cart. Only add to wishlist. This is going on the 3rd time that I have missed a CPL 'deal' due to poor website reliability and/or content management.

    • +1

Looks like they sold all three of them.

  • Phew saved myself another $3 by missing another CPL sale :D

  • Hmm does anyone know if you can duplicate those building access cards with NFC tags?

  • Missed it….

  • it is compatible with most of the new smartphones/tablets (not iPhone)

iPhone with an iCarte cover can use it.

  • Got my three today, however one doesn't seem to be working. I can use the other two.
