  • Not bad… is there a limit on the number of FF points that can be earnt?

  • I have a HSBC premier credit card with no annual fee that offers rewards similar $ value to the QANTAS version, I just trade my points in for cashback off the credit card (every few months I get $50-100 cashback). Not sure the above is a particularly good bargain.

lol premier card… How much money/business you deal with HSBC?

Either over $500,000 in loans or $200,000 in savings… or manager's discretion (aka he's your mate). I've seen all 3 :)

  • Not bad if you have a balance transfer to bring across, you'd easily save your couple of hundred in the annual fee by going to 0%, with the bonus of some Qantas points. I have noticed a lack of 0% interest balance transfers lately, I am sure that almost everyone had them not long ago?

    • Anz is offering them until the end of this month.

  • 35000 worth $175 cashback,
its Premium Visa card give 2500($125 casback) points with $129 annual fee.

You can get a $250 wish gift card for 36,250 points. As long as you cancel before a year is done, you can make $40?

QFF points represent far better value when used for business/first class flight upgrades and certain international flights.

Don't forget about the reduced creditworthiness from the 'inquiry' on your credit file from this card.

  • The fine print I've seen for this card is a $60k income requirement…. but, it is otherwise a good deal.

Deal Breaker: No points earned on BPay transactions.
Eligible purchases exclude interest free promotions, balance transfers, business expenses, cash advances, fees or charges, any disputed transactions, BPAY® and any government fee or charge.

I have a Woolworths Qantas card (HSBC) and BPayments earn points.

  • Just applied and had mine approved straight away. Balance transfer alone will = my existing CC interest in 1.5 months (gotta stop buying stuff off ozbargain that I don't need)! Plus the qantas club passes mean it's less tempting to sign up each year.

Now to fight the battle with my existing CC company to get it cancelled…sigh

You can also sell the Qantas Club passes on Gumtree for $50-$60 each, reducing the fee to $80-$100.

  • $51 cashback on this deal with Cash Rewards too?

Or get it for $99 through their 'Waratahs' sponsorship
    https://www.hsbc.com.au/1/2/waratahs/cards

    • can any one get that?
      it says
      $199annual fee..
      ($99.00 for Corporate Partner customers)

Do you know if you get the 35,000 points aswell?

  • +1

I can confirm that if you are employed with a corporate partner you get the reduced annual fee of $99 and still receive the full 35,000 points.

  • Which companies are a corporate partner?

  • Supporter NSW and Interstate (Non Ticketed) membership cost only $50. Hence, it is cheaper to join the Waratahs club first and then apply for the credit card ($99 + $50 = $149)

  • I dont know if you even need to join do you?

So long as you join up via the link…

I rang up and asked about the points, And the guy was pushing me to do It over the phone…

    • For the Corporate Partners benefits? I tried and it didnt work for me
