  • Showing as in stock at Malaga, Osborne Park and Morley here in Perth. Would be handy to use as a drive to record from my TV..

  • Not so familiar with this brand. Anybody has any idea about its quality?

Also "limited stock" often just means one broken/stolen one.

    +1 for the description

    Good post
    Thanks for your time

  • Nice find. Hope they still have stock.

  • Here's the last review on the website:

Stopped working after only one use.

I recently purchased the Imation 320GB Apollo M100 Portable Hard Drive. I used it only once, and when I tried to use it again it wouldn’t work. When I plug it in the blue light is on, however the device is not detected. It doesn’t show up in Disk Management and doesn't at any stage when plugged in, and there is no question mark in the Device Manager. I have searched for assistance online to try and remedy this issue but unfortunately only found lots of others that were experiencing the same issues. My advice is don’t waste your money on this device or risk your data to it.

So yeah, maybe get it to move movies or music between devices but don't store for the long run. 320Gb is a good size for taking things over to a mate's place anyway.

I bought a 500gb one and it failed within a year. Lucky I got a refund at OW.

      Imation uses toshiba drives.

Rather spend a bit on WD or Seagate brand.

  • QLD stores all out now apparently.

    • Oxley hadn't had any for a while.

  • No stock in SA (Elizabeth & Keswick)

As usual no stock. The OW online system is inaccurate as usual.

      And not stock for months.

      • People have found stock. I don't know why people still think "I DIDN'T GET ONE!" is legitimate reason to neg a deal.

      • +1

drunifex, you live in Adelaide. I would think you'd be used to missing out on most deals?

Went to Castle Hill NSW store just after 9am today. No stock left even though their website still says limited stock.

  • 107 Elizabeth Street - just called and they said they dont have stock. Someone returned a faulty one so in the system it says that it has stock.

  • This item is either discontinued, clearance or deleted stock, any stock showing in our system are either faulty returns or stolen stock/lost stock. only a few stores are showing stock like 1-2, this is within nsw, and we don't do stock transfers to other states. Some stores might be willing to ship the item to you if you wanted to pay the 53.95 shipping.

The hardrive is in store only, not available online, special orders cannot be done like mentioned its clearance stock.
Also a lot of people still looking for 4gb flash stick, ow does not sell 4gb any more standard is 8gb, cheers.

    • I thought you posted a suburb called Sulaco… feeling like the biggest nerd ever atm.

For a moment I thought WA had an increase of illegal aliens :-P

just picked up 4 of these for friends and family.

there is still about 15 of these left @ vic park OW (perth)

297gb of useable space. usb3. 2 year warranty, ( dunno if the usb3 is legit though )

Can vouch for these drives. Got one for Dad on Father's Day and it's good. USB 3.0 is good, don't know about quality but can't be beaten for price.

  • good buy, great for spares for sharing media with friends

Picked up a couple from the Subiaco OW store. Plenty left when I left the store. These drives will now become my runabout drives. Thanks for the heads up OP.

Limited stock = no stock or 1 demo stock only!

So please stop posting any deals with limited stock.

  • +3

This post and others like it are the reason we have OzBargain - so you can get the last one or two that (insert company here) marked down to clear.
    A 320G hard drive for $25? That's an OzBargain.

    Thanks to SamR for posting.

ST320LM001 was the hard drive inside the Imation. This is a Seagate (originally a Samsung) Momentus drive. Specs listed here http://www.seagate.com/files/staticfiles/support/docs/samsun…

    • Well done that man!, I came here to ask what make and model hard drive was in the Imation enclosure, theres even a link to its specs!

      Cheers Jlogic :)

Sigh, when I called one of the nearby OWs (listed as having stock) they told me all of OW had sold out for a long time now…

  • Interested but not worth the potential data loss. Talk about a lot of red flags and yet were all still buying it because its a 'bargain'. It shows an interesting side to the users here.

Cheers OP, I just got one from Subiaco (WA) Officeworks, they have about 20 left.

  • None at Carlton OW

  • +1

About 15 left at Subiaco in WA as of 30 minutes ago. Apparently Cannington has approximately 100 left, and Midland have around 50 for those still seeking. :)

  • Got one from Jandakot, WA. Plenty of stocks left (around 20). Thanks OP.

  • About 4 left at O'Connor at the counter about 30 mins ago.

  • Just a heads up - Officeworks Cannington have 40 of these in stock as of yesterday.
