  • Got it today! It is a nice industrial style design, though there certainly is a lot of writing on the back of it!

  • Got mine today too!
Thanks OP for posting the deal and JB for honouring the deal!

  • Received mine. As above - big thanks to JB and the OP!

  • mine was delivered yesterday (sydney) but i wasn't home to accept it.. had to get it from a newsagent today

anyways like others, mine has a black sticker on the front saying "Li-ion Polymer Battery inside" and on the back of the unit it is printed "CP-F2L", the manual is CP-F2LS even though on the diagram it is labelled as CP-F2L. also the manual specs says "output: 2 ports 2.1A (Max)"

    • When charging 2 devices simultaneously do both ports output @2.1A, 1x port @2.1 + 1x port @1.0A or 2.1A split between both @1.0A each?

      • The maximum current the unit can supply on both ports combined is 2.1A. How much current is drawn from each port depends on the connected device. If the connected devices try to draw a total current of more than 2.1A, the unit will cut the output as a safety precaution.

  • Order 8632314 in QLD
    Received 29/11

Yet to use it but it looks like great quality and pass through charging is good to have, so I can just leave it charged and also charging my phone.

  • Received mine yesterday in Brisbane. Very happy with this unit. It's feels very nice and solid without being heavy and the silver finish is attractive.

The 15 hour recharge time via USB is a bit of a shock though! It came half charged and I charged it for about 6 hours via USB while at work - still not fully charged by home time.

Tried it out on my phone and was very impressed. Other external batteries charged my phone slower than a game drained it so eventually the phone battery would be dead while the external battery still was half full. However, I had to keep disconnecting the Sony one because my phone was already fully charged!

  • Has anyone tested the output of the unit?
My phone is showing 1.5A when connected to the Sony, whereas when I plug my phone to the wall adapter or Aldi power bank, it reads 2.1A.

    • I tested using my galaxy s4. It shows the same input as the oem wall charger. 1200mah.

Which phone and app do you use to measure?

      • Tested on iPhone5 using DataMonitor (a jailbreak app).
Seems quite odd because it's been accurate for measuring the charging from different power sources.

        Ah well!

  • just noticed there is zeeen sound when I am using it, is anybody has the same thing? is it normal?

    • Also it discounting itself each 20mints( the unit full charged and using galaxy note2 )

  • Got mine Friday 29/11 canberra. Once again thank you JB!
Also the unit feels very solid and high quality. Should keep me going while traveling.

  • Can anyone confirm receiving it via PO Box?

I got email confirmation, still waiting at my box….
