      Well, the iPhone 4 has a 1420mAh battery and this is 7000mAh capacity, so unless my maths is bad, it should in theory do 4 full charges comfortably.

    When it comes to charging the unit, I found it quicker to use my apple AC charger, and use the supplied cord to the sony unit :)

    3 blinks on the orange light the next morning! :) so fully charged! it is a little big, but hey it's 7000mah! and we only paid $30 delivered! so great deal ! will come in handy when camping next or just want to charge my phone on the go, put it in the misses hand bag

      Yep, usb charging is .5A and usb AC will charge it at its maximum input of 1A(2x faster)

      you're of course entitled to receive what you ordered or a refund…

      they'll probably say there's no more cpf2ls available so gave you a similar substitute - which i'm guessing you'll keep given the bargain? :)

      Section 263 of the ACL states the consequences of rejecting goods:

      (4b) replace the rejected goods with goods of the same type, and of similar value, if such goods are reasonably available to the supplier.

      Both JB and Sony (http://www.sony.com.au/product/cp-f2ls) websites state the device
      - Contains Sony-manufactured lithium-polymer rechargeable battery

      btw, I also got the CP-F2L from JB. It printed 'LITHIUM ION BATTERY' at the back of the device.

      Same. Maybe they really didn't have much of the cpf2ls in stock and that's why they sent the mid-December arrival emails. Then they probably just decided to send out the cpf21 models and hope people wont notice/care. That's my theory :D

      I don't care enough to write an email or complain. Though would of been happier if I didn't read your comment. lol

        lol. I might be wrong because the black sticker outside actually says "Sony Li-ion polymer battery inside". Pretty cool isn't it, reminds me of that microprocessor company that used to come with "Intel inside" trademark. sorry for the confusion and let's now be happy enjoy the weekend :)

      lol yeah my packaging says cp-f2ls on the top right side of the box, but one the actual unit itself it only has cp-f2l so I'm guess the S just stands for the colour sliver. on the manual it has both product codes

          I'm the same.

          Black round sticker in front of the box and first line on the back of the box:
          Sony Li-ion Polymer battery

          Top right side of the box: CP-F2LS

          Back of the box (several lines above the barcode): CP-F2L

          On the manual: both

          Back of the unit: CP-F2L, Lithium ion battery

          So it mentioned both lithium ion and lithium-ion polymer battery. I'm a bit confused as I only heard of lithium ion and lithium polymer before, never heard of lithium ion polymer.

          Can anyone who think they received CP-F2LS please reply back if they have different information printed in the place I mentioned above?

      Correct me if I'm wrong. But only "loose" lithium ion batteries are restricted. At least that was the case about 6 months ago. From what I was told. If they were in a device or some sort of storage box then it was fine.

        Smart a*** response to a somewhat legitimate question.

        This battery is only about 35Wh (assuming 100% efficient). If it was 100Wh or more, approval is required by the airline typically (e.g. Qantas).

        Loose batteries are generally not allowed unless protected from potential short circuits

        Yes in this case it should be no problem.
