Great call by JB, and also to limit it to one per order as well. More than reasonable.
Very happy, and they've gained my trust as well.

  • +2

Got the e-mail too! Awesome, good work JB HiFi! Little gestures like this count for more than advertising - it reinforces to me that JB HiFi are a professional bunch unlike some other retailers!

  • +6

Kudos to JB for honouring orders. Given that this has been a significant saving it certainly makes me consider them for a future purchase without the need to haggle down to bottom dollar.

  • I don't usually order when there's an obvious pricing error but I've been using a 1000mAh pack and so was looking to upgrade. Took the chance and it looks like it paid off. Thanks JB!

  • +8

Will buy all my electronics from them in the future, kudos to jb

    Great stuff JB!!

After we get amazoned, koganed and lamenovoed…I found that local businesses like JB and officework do look after and value their customers a lot more. I think we definitely should support our local retailers a bit more. :P

    Great stuff JB!

  • +1

    JB wins!

  • +1

Certainly great to see JB honoring this - makes it a more appealing online option in future too.

Definitely a refreshing change to Dick Smith's online store, who are more than happy to take your money upfront and then neglect to tell you that they're out of stock afterwards - even on normal sales!

  • Thanks JB!
I will certainly shop there a lot more now. I just wont buy a lenovo there (if they ever sell them)

  • Cheerios !

  • JB's rep just went up a few points.

  • JB win. They are willing to cut on the loss in order to honour their customers. That is good business practices.

  • Good result :) Happy that it is going to be shipped anyway :D

  • Interesting…..

Please note that no payment has been taken for your order as JB only processes funds once items are in stock and ready to ship.

I seem to be missing $29 from my cc already.

    • Is it an actual debit or a pre-authorisation?

    • Yes. Its actually been 'reserved' already.

For paypal payment, it will expire in 28 days and cc payment, should be around 10 days.

  • I'll be happy when I see it on my door step, nevertheless Kudos to JBHF.

  • Hmm I don't remember signing up for an account, and it seems that it's the only way to check the order status?

  • +3

JB excel in customer service. I bought an ASUS Ultrabook in May and I had some software issues with it after that, even after several system updates. I eventually took it back to the store last month and instead of sending it off to repair, they replaced it with a completely brand new one.

Now they honour this deal. JB Hi-Fi are definitely top notch in my books!

    • +3

that might have had more to do with Asus warranty.. but good on JB anyway

      • Yes you are probably right Frantic. They did not have the model that I bought anymore in stock, so they replaced it with a HP Ultrabook with virtually the same specs as the ASUS one.

  • Damn it, I should've got one… I was expecting them to cancel the orders.:(

    • +1

Then you shoulda got one! Nothing lost.

Looks like JBHIFI listed this battery pack in their catalogue for $79 with 4 colours to choose from.

    • +1

no, thats the 5000mah battery pack.

    • +1

The one in the catalogue is 5000 mAh, not the one we got here (7000 mAh).

  • I purchased very early on the 2/10.
I got the first email saying my order was received but waiting on stock.
I didn't get the second email about the pricing error.
Last night my paypal account said that the payment to JB HIFI was pending.
My jb shopping basket is empty today.
My paypal account no longer shows the pending payment. It has simply disappeared.

So … it would appear that JB are not honouring anything.

  • Same here just checked jb basket and it's empty same as pay pal ?

    • Try your 'history' tab in paypal. (Mine seriously was not there before because I did look. It is there now)

Login into JB and click on 'order history' - left hand grey box under 'getting started'. (I did not look here previously)

      • Yes it's in there cheers

      • User error. You should be checking your order history not the shopping cart.

  • -6

I believe JB is honouring (JB you have done it again!) ONE per customer (absolutely fair)!

I got an e-mail to confirm from JB HiFi

    • +7

      welcome to last week.

    • +7

How often did you check your email, dude

    • Something I missed?

    • I don't get it too. My order history for the Sony powerbank status is "in-progress". Anyone is suggesting JB Hifi will cancel our orders and therefore negged skinny's comment?

      • No one is suggesting that.
They're merely saying that the email from JB saying they will honour the price was last week's news.

  • Almost 2 weeks later, has anyone received theirs yet?
With the number of orders, most are obviously on backorder, but surely they must've had some stock.

    • +1

My order is still stuck on pending…

Just be patient, they're prolly still producing them.

"There will be a four week wait before this stock arrives in Australia. Order dispatch is therefore expected to be early November."

  • +2

    Just got an email.

    Dear Customer,

We would like to update you regarding your order for the "Sony CPF2LS Portable USB Charger 7000 mAh (Silver)" purchased through JB Hi-Fi Online.

Sony have confirmed the shipment, however they have advised the shipment will now not arrive at our warehouse >until mid-December 2013.

Please note that no payment has been taken for your order as JB only processes funds once items are in stock >and ready to ship.

Should you wish to proceed with your order, no further action is required.

To cancel an order, please respond to this email with “Cancel” and your order number in the subject line.

We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by this delay.

    • +1

      Dupe. No deal.

    • Oh damn, could of used this on my holiday.

  • MID December!?… goddamnit. I guess I can wait tho.

    • +1

Look on the bright side, it'll be just in time for Xmas…

  • +4

lol lets all post our email

  • Another two months :/ oh well, at least they haven't taken out the money.

    • They doing this on purpose. Come December, they will say Feb. Hopefully everyone will cancel their order.

      • I'm thinking that that is what they are going for.

Mind you we have no visibility over the number of orders made so they might just want to be sending them all out at the same time, instead of putting up with "PERSON A GOT THEIR BATTERY 2 WEEKS AGO WHERE IS MINE?!!?"

either way, I am happy to wait and it'll be a bargain then as it is right now.

    • +1

      Dupe. No deal.

      • Clearly some don't read what is posted, or have no sense of humour. :)

  • -1

On the upside, it probably means we'll be getting very fresh stock, which is a good thing for lithium-ion batteries, as they lose capacity (as distinct from charge) just sitting on the shelf, e.g. a battery that's 3000mAh fresh out of the factory might only be capable of holding 2500mAh if it's year-old stock.

    • -1

      ummm…no.

      Li-Po has low discharge.

      • -1

Charge is not capacity. The difference is akin to size of a bucket and the level to which it's filled - related but not the same thing.

  • +2

    I'm happy to wait

  • got the email too, props to jb for firstly honouring the deal, and keeping us updated

    • Happy to wait.

  • wow

  • Paypal pending payment will expire after 28 days.

So how are they going to take the payment in Dec?

    • +1

      That's the idea.

      • Then we would've been JB'ed. End of the day, they get out the transaction & we get nothing.

        • We sue them.

        • +1

I emailed them this arvo, got this reply:

          Thanks for your email.

The order itself will still be valid in our system until it has been cancelled in our system regardless if the pending hold (or preauthorisation) is released.

We will still attempt to capture payment for your order when it is ready to be dispatched. However if there is any issue in capturing the payment for your order an email will be sent to notify you.

If you have any more questions please let me know.

          Regards,

Darren | Online Customer Service Team 2IC | JB Hi-fi Online

        • Let's see how many people are gouing to repost your email.

        • This will prolly get overlooked when it reaches the next pg>

    • -1

Either people on ozbargain are a bit slow or they are trolling.

    • Seriously? How many times do people have to post the same email?

It's posted as if to say "wow, I got this before anyone else!" when in reality it's pretty obvious everyone will be getting the same email at the same time.

  • +3

Amazing JB for a thoughtful email. They have done all they can and despite this they are sorry.

  • wonder if JB will approve of an address change…or force me to cancel

  • +4

Can I post the email from jbhifi too?

    • -8

No, you may not, as i've just run out of comment negs.

      • +2

Here, just gave you one !

        • -1

          Gee thanks.

      • lol you got to spend your "negatives wisely". like you would spend real $$$.

  • +2

    Received the dispatched notification! :D

Thanks again for your JB Hi-Fi Online order.

Your order XXXXXXX was dispatched from our warehouse/supplier today and will be delivered to the address below.

    1 - - Sony CPF2LS Portable USB Charger 7000 mAh (Silver).

    ==============

  • +2

Dispatch message received - thanks JB

  • Just received dispatched notification too! I am very surprised considering the last email said it would be mid-December!

    • I haven't received any further emails since the mid-December delivery notification. I can only assume I'm not one of the few to receive a device from the first batch.

      • +1

If it is any help, I was one of the first to put my order through (I saw the post when it was at one positive vote) and am in Perth. They will probably get a fair few batches in over the coming month, so you might get an email soon!

        • Got notification today. I also put a order in when it had a low number of votes(about 10 iirc).

  • could you all state your suburb and state for those who receive the dispatched notification?
