  • Thanks! been waiting for this

    • 240v version?

Amazon reviews say they're not universal…..

Sorry if silly question. But what is the go with this vacuum? I've seen it posted a few times, and I originally thought it was a novelty item.

I am in the market for a new vacuum, I was looking at getting a Dyson as I need something that is very strong on picking up dust as my son is super allergic to dust mites. Is this good in that aspect?

I replaced my dyson with a Henry back in Jan when it was posted here for $169. love it! It kicks a Dysons butt!

I picked up the commercial one with the a1 kit included. Bought one for the parents and they think it's great too! Also previous dyson users.

IMO… What a load of rubbish. This Numatic Henry is bagged and quite loud. What dyson did you have that you needed to repalce it with this cheapie? This may be good for large office spaces with short pile carpet etc where a once over glide is 'good' enough.

        • Dunno mate, Industrial vacuums are often better than home ones. Even the cheapies. I use a $50 'shed vacuum' one from bunnings and it eats anything.

People in the amazon shopping reviews agree with the guy above. apparently way better than Dyson.

Consdiering they're comparing Henry (an industrial vac) to Dyson (a compact in-home vac) it really shouldnt be that surprising, bag or not.

          "There's no replacement for Displacement"

        • For the shed I got the Ozito 1200W from bunnings for around $40 to $50. It looks the same as this one (big, bulky container) but has less filtration. It has however a dry and wet mode and eats anything too. Commercial/ Industrial vacuums are made tougher, but not necessairly better. Office space generally tends to be vacuumed every night… who vacuums their house every night? The Dyson range will pick up dust that this one will not pick up unless you change the bag. The Dyson, whether it has dirt in the container or not will do its job just as well as if it was cleaned out.

Also, this one is very loud that's why they got a hi/lo speed setting. On the Lo speed setting it is pretty much useless. They even had to create a quieter vacuum so you don't wear ear muffs: Numatic NVQ370 Quiet Vacuum Cleaner.

    • I've known UK hairdressing salons that use the Henry to vaccum up their salons every day and they love it!

  • Thanks OP, the old cheapo vacuum has been slowly dying so this will be a good replacement!

    • +1 - hilarious

  • how can you not + any deal with Henry

  • Don't forget to add the discount code 'HUT15' for a further 15% off :)

Maybe add this to the title if you can - Ozbargainers don't like paying anymore then they have to

  • coupon doesn't work for me anymore. price is stuck on £109.99

    • Just past midnight London time now, so looks like it expired right on time.

  • How often do you need to replace the bags in these? It only comes with one bag, and I haven't bought any new ones yet for mine… but problably should soon.

    • Really? I bought one from here a few weeks ago and mine had two spare bags. Replacing the bags really depends on how often you use them. Rule of thumb is to just change the bags when the vaccum starts losing suction. You can buy them pretty cheap from eBay.

  • What power point converter do you use with this vacuum?
