  • anyone getting checkout errors?

    • I tried to place an order last night and had checkout errors. I emailed them with some info. If it's not just me then I'm sure they're onto it.

The annoying part is the 15c off offer expired last night so I miss out.

      • so we can't use this offer yet as it doesn't work?

    • I've been getting checkout errors since last week, they replied.

"Thank you for taking the time to contact Woolworths Online.
Please accept our apologies regarding the issues you have experienced with our website.
We have made some changes to our website and this has caused some small glitches to occur.
The website is regularly monitored to ensure all issues are attended. Please take time to visit the website to benefit from the changes.
Though, we do understand your frustration, we have forwarded your feedback through to the I.T department for review."

That reply was two days ago, I'm still having the same error.

Grrrr…..I've got better things to do at work on Cup Eve that persevere with Woolies online shopping, what's the next ozbargain please

        • I finally managed to place an order then. I removed a couple of items, added some different ones, cleared my browser cookies and local storage data from Chrome then it went through.

        • Yes, typically when a website has undergone issues or fixes of this nature, clearing your browsers cache/cookies will help.

      • Sounds like the website works about as well as the stupid automated checkouts then :P

      • Guys I had the same problem, then I tried another browser (Chrome to Firefox) and it worked a treat. Good luck!

oh yeaaah 50kg of rice for $40 delivered

    • +1

Amazing that 50kg of rice doesn't qualify as a bulk order.

    • I pity the delivery guy, you're probably not the only person to order a crap ton of rice

  • Can I buy gift cards with this?

    • +2

Woolworths online don't sell gift cards.

      • =(

        thnx

  • +2

"If you are a new Woolworths Online customer,
you'll pay no delivery fee for your first three orders"

It's normally no delivery fee for only the first order isn't it? 3 x free delivery is good if you can get it.

  • doesnt work..called WW, n they said they had sum tech issues..but the lady was very helpful & she put the order thru fr me.. got $13 +$10 off. ! yay !

    • did you have to repeat the entire order or could she access it online?

  • +1

My order got processed with free delivery and $10 off. Thanks OP.

  • Anyone has coupon for free delivery?

  • Awesome!! Just picked up a whole lot of 1/2 off stuff again + free delivery + $10 off.!! Thanks OP. I feel like I'm screwing Woolies. Brilliant!

    • +1

trust me, you're not screwing woolies. they have you by the cahoolies

      • +4

I knew someone was going to say that. I'm 3 steps ahead of the avg consumer. Woolies doesn't have me by anything. I only purchased loss leader products. And yes I know woolies isn't going broke because of me.
edit: That's actually the beauty of online shopping. You can purchase 'loss leaders' without being tempted to buy any other impulse 'junk' wandering the aisles.

        • +1

The cost is passed on to manufacturer ( Wollies take their commission)

        • Correct but lower the price, lower the commission typically.

  • +2

ordered last week and got $10 off and just done the same for another $10 off.
using wish cards at 5% off so another $2 off my $40.

Only ordered specials, did check 10 items from last weeks docket against the online prices and everyone was more expensive except the $3 milk which they know people will see if they increase it.

    • Interesting to know thanks. Gotta watch these bloody supermarkets they're out to extract every last dollar (and cent) they can out of you.

      • Yea! Coz ozbargainers aren't?

  • Does it take anyone else aaaaages to update their basket ie. just to remove 1 item?

Edit: from the checkout page I find removing items a bit flaky (the wheel keeps turning ages) but from the right sidebar it's v. fast.

  • I tried this online shopping before and the delivery was 3 hours late. supposed to be around 6-9pm and they only arrived at midnight. not complaining as they gave $10 off and deliver it right at your doorstep, the delivery man was also very nice. but just fyi to everyone so you can organize your delivery time better and be prepared

    • Same Thing happened to me, supposed to be 5pm-8pm and they came 10pm when my kids are sleeping.
Not only that, I didnt receive 2 items (out of stock) and my yogurt was Expired.
I called Woolworth but phone lines were so busy it took me 3rd day to get someone to answer and get the refund. Saved about $20 but such a hassle!

      • Well the exact opposite happened to me, they actually came 30 minutes earlier than my delivery window, THEN I get a SMS from them advising me my delivery may be upto 2 hours late!!!

      • +1

        Emails them.
They have stuffed up some part of every order we have placed, but we submit a complaint using their online form, they usually reply back (via email) the next business day, refunding all the items we had issues with (usually wrong items picked - had ticked "no substitutions allowed").

    • oh dear! Should have read this before I submitted my order haha…praying they don't come at midnight…>_>

  • iv placved orders and they had items missing when it said in the invoice that it was included… pretty dodgy for woolies but got refund for the items not included

    • +2

I got refund for wrong items, but kept wrong items…;)

  • Anyone know if you can combine this coupon code with staff discount online? I know someone with a card…

    • +1

yes you can :) I did that on my order

      • At which page do you put the staff number?

  • THanks very much for this! Went into woolies to get something yest and they had no stock but now able to purchase online with free delivery and $10 off! thumbs up

  • +1

The stove in this list might be good?
    Portable Butane Stove
    Was $21.49, now $9.99

    • anyone verify this is any good?
wondering mind getting one of these for steam boat but needs to have some oomf to boil the pot constantly

  • It would be good if they just had free delivery by default for orders over $100. If they did that I would do all my grocery shopping with them online every week.

  • Ordered 5 10kg bags of rice for $40 Yay, the problem is I don't know where to store them…. :(

    • lol feed the poor?
But seriously, what is the expiry on that rice? I hope you can consume it all within the time period.

  • 3 x 24 pack of coke zero and a few homebrand products to bring the total to $50.10, delivered for $40.10, nice! :-)

And not feeling bad for them at all after I noticed that the same 1kg of homebrand raw sugar costs $2.33 in WA and only $1.17 in NSW. Wow, what a rort - or rather: you guys are lucky to have Aldi!

  • Hmmm, did woolies delivery guys wear woolies uniform. Sounds like they maybe contractors.

I hate contractors(the employment type not them personally), they're hired on the cheap, and lets the company disavow any real responsibility. At the same time ignoring they're unquantifiable loss of reputation and lost customers.

Cheers op. Must have spent over half a grand these past couple of weeks on Woolworths online orders lol. Thank you OzB!

Btw just thought I mention that Sunbeam have a special offer going where if you buy 3 items you get a free Sunbeam Plasticware Silicone Pudding Bowl :)

  • Yay was waiting this to use my amex card offer.
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/120524

    • Wont accept me :(

      Sorry
Unfortunately this campaign is by invitation only.

  • Thanks OP, got a whole bunch of crap I didn't need for $40.28.

The 10kg of rice will last a while though.

  • But the online prices are 10% more than in store, so while $10 off $50 is 20% off, in reality it's only 10% off. Still not bad.

    • Are you sure about that? most of the items I've checked are the same price, although admittedly that's probably only about 10 items.

      • Kettle chunky chips = $4.61 online. $4.19 in store. Exactly 10% more. Some other items are not quite 10%, but 7.5% such as Gatorade 4-packs which are $8 in store, and $8.60 online.

        • All supermarket stores are different in pricing depending on location. In the city stores most things are more expensive than my suburban store, so how can u compare and make a sweeping statement?

        • Fair enough. I had not seen it with any of the products I'd purchased in the past. That is a bit crappy then isn't it!

        • Woolworths puts out advertising with prices on it - they are obliged to offer the same price in each store.

      • +3

Specials are matched dollar for dollar, but most items are 7% higher on average.

Shop by special - and at the deli where they will only ever over-supply ordered quantities…

  • 1 litre JD for $45! Thanks Woolies. :)

  • Crisco Sunflower Oil 2l in store ($10ish) is cheaper than online ($11.65)

  • Thanks. Ordering heavy items (like packs of Coke Zero cans) and getting them delivered instead of having to lug them around is the best thing ever. Pity free shipping isn't an always thing tho.

  • +1

    Grrrreat!

So glad I delayed finalising this, my second Woolies, order.

Had been annoyed at missing out on the previous $10 offer when I placed my first order last week.

With free delivery on the first 3 deliveries as well (its automatically applied at the end of the process), this is great value (& nicely complements my usual Aldi shopping!).

Only bought specials and milk (which is pretty much as low-priced as u get anyway and nice not to have to carry home).

The first delivery was perfect, on time and the delivery man did a wonderful job.

  • +1

Don't forget to stack NOV140 and get a 2nd $10 discount applied to your order making it a $20 total discount. Thanks to this deal http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/121800

    • This doesn't work, I've tried it.

  • anyone got the all rice $40 order cancelled like me?

    • +1

What did they run out of rice or something? lol

      • +1

yeah, it said that in the email. But i suspect the delivery guy couldnt be bothered. And he delivered the only item that didnt get cancelled which was a small tissue pack worth $1. I guess he must be pissed.

    • yep, mine got cancelled.. :(

  • No coupons are working anymore, even if its your first order..

  • This sucks, I am actually an entertainment book owner and i dont get to use the code because it got ozbargained.

    • Just give them a call. I am too so I phoned them and they sorted it for me

      • I did, but they didnt help out!

  • +2

    Now it says:
Sorry, the Coupon: "ENTBOOKTENOFF" has now exceeded its allocated limit. Please call our Customer Service Team on 1800 000 610 for clarification.

  • I'm really surprised that ceratin big companies haven't clued on that universal and resusable coupon codes are not really the best way to encourage consumers to form good shopping behaviours. :/

That being said, I'm gonna make hay while the sun is shining! :D
