  • If I ordered some today, would they be delivered to the Gold Coast by Friday? Not the easiest of questions, but I won't bother if no chance.

Hello Rep, can you please bring folio cases for Asus FHD 10 ME302c. Lot of people bought that when it was on sale in good guys. But no one have them in Australia..

  • How do i make an offer on the power banks?
    Thanks

    • Click the link and select make an offer option while you are logged in your eBay account. Try ebay classic site instead of mobile site to see the make offer option

  • Hi rep which version of the cable are you selling the one on the top left with the writing on the images or the one in the main body of the listing like This one I really like that squeezed tip one very nice looking cable.

    • +1

They are the squeezed tip one, the images in the main body as the link you attached.
      Sorry for the confusion

      • Excellent thanks these cables look like very nice quality! ordered 2 thanks!

  • got any shorter micro usb cables?

  • How do you make an offer on EBay buy it now item? thanks.

    • Rep hasn't set the listing correctly.

    • Try classic site. You cannot see it easily if you are on mobile site

Thanks rep for bringing Xperia z1 cases. Bought an iPad air case too.

  • no s3 cases

Any deals on the standard 30pin apple 3m cables? Looking to buy 3.

  • Any note 2 cases?

  • No Nexus love rep?

  • I bought a few 1m cables from last deal and using it with 1A output adapter. It works great. Anyone know where I can get a good 2A one to test the cable?

    • We do have good quality 2A output adapter

Mobile phones only take up to 1A though, you will need to try it with a tablet device.

      • +2

what's the lowest offer you would take for them?

        • yeah whats the lowest? I'm getting this together with cables.

      • Recent flagships take ~1.2A, and the Galaxy S4/Notes take 2A.

  • Any xperia z ultra cases rep?

  • I have a Note 2. Can I buy any cable length for charging? 1m, 2m, 3m?

    Another post said:
If you're expecting 2A, I hope you bought the 1m ones!

1M 26AWG at 5V 2A will result in a voltage drop of 0.54v giving you a charging voltage of 4.46, which is just under the 10% USB spec.

    2M 26AWG at 5V 2A = 3.93V - will not work

    3m 26AWG = 3.39V

    I'm confused?

    • +1

I bought the 1m cable for my note 2, and it charged very quick.
The longer cable will take more time.

      • Thanks for the reply. But I'm looking to get their 2m or 3m and not sure if this will work.

    • +2

      From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_wire_gauge:

      AWG 26 | Copper Resistance = 133.9Ω/km = 0.1339Ω/m

      • For 1m Cable:

        5V, 2A, 0.1339Ω | P(lost) = I^2 * R = 2^2 * 0.1339 = 0.5356W
        P(capacity) = 5*2= 10W
        P(delivered) = 10-0.5356 = 9.4644W
        V(delivered) = 9.4644/2 = 4.7322V
        V(drop) = 0.2678V

      • For 2m Cable:

        5V, 2A, 0.2678Ω | P(lost) = I^2 * R = 2^2 * 0.2678 = 1.0712W
        P(capacity) = 5*2= 10W
        P(delivered) = 10-1.0712 = 8.9288W
        V(delivered) = 8.9288/2 = 4.4644V
        V(drop) = 0.5356V

      • For 3m Cable:

        5V, 2A, 0.4017Ω | P(lost) = I^2 * R = 2^2 * 0.4017 = 1.6068W
        P(capacity) = 5*2= 10W
        P(delivered) = 10-1.6068 = 8.3932W
        V(delivered) = 8.3932/2 = 4.1966V
        V(drop) = 0.8034V

You have to bear in mind this is at 2A. If the amperage drops, your power lost will drop significantly, hence the 5V (-10%) [0.5V drop] can be achieved over 3m. Very few devices will charge at 2A.

      • My charger says:

        Input: 100-240 ~ 50-60Hz 0.15A

        Output: 5.0V 1.0A

And if I was to get a 2 or 3m cable, what is the difference? is it alot?

        • Negligible difference.

        • +1

So, there isn't much difference between 1.0A and 2.0A?

        • No, of course there is a difference between 1.0A and 2.0A, but there is negligible Volt Drop difference between using 2m or 3m cable at 1A. Which is what bargin424 was asking.

      • i bought one of these car adaptors: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261278175662
it came with 2x1m tikbro cables
but from the car it only charges my phone at 200mA
if i plug the 1m cables into my wall charge adaptor they will charge at 1000mA
if i use a very short cheap 10cm cable with the car adaptor it charges at 1000mA

anyone know what the deal is with that? is it because the voltage of the car is probably not supplying a good 12/5v? or is my wall adaptor compensating by pumping out even more current and just wasting energy?

Sorry guys, some listings did not have "make offer" function enabled before. Problem fixed now.

  • Rep,

do you have 3meter mini usb cable?

  • Good price.
Hi, Rep, will the cases include the free gifts at this price? Thanks.

    • If it says free gift on the ads, you will get free gifts.

      regards

  • hi Rep. I've bought a few microusb cables from the likes of meritline and ebay (they are just a few micromm out and I have to squeeze them in, risking damage to the port), just wanted to confirm if the cables you are selling, do they have issues fitting into the standard microusb ports easily?
I want to make sure before I spend on a couple of them.
    thanks.

    • As long as they are micro usb ports, this will fit perfectly.

      regards

  • Ahhhhhh i literally just bought one the other day
    too early :(

  • Hi Rep,

Do you have HDMI to Micro HDMI cables?

    Cheers,

    • No sorry we don't.

  • Anyone tried these Tikbro power banks?, are they any good?
It appears to be exclusively sold by bulksales and no reviews online

    • read my reviews from the previous deal.

      • Can you please post a link? You post a lot and can't find it!

As a sidenote, I ordered these cables last time and very impressed, managing to get good charge speeds with my Nexus 5 from a 2A charger.

      • Yes, can you please post a link or comment here

See in the end of the page, I cannot link to the comment cz I am using ipad

        • Thanks for the reply, but that's not a review of the power banks but his suggestions on 3m cables.

        • Sorry I thought you are looking about the cables. My bad :)

        • +2

          Oopss.. Sorry haz..

I almost bought the power bank but then there was a better deal from jb hifi ;)

        • Haha, yeah I'm waiting for that to arrive to, getting impatient!

Can you have too many power banks? :D

  • Thanks for the post. Bought 1m cable.

  • no cases for Galaxy s3?

  • Guys, if you're thinking of buying one of these cables for charging your recent phone, think again.

I bought a couple from a similar deal posted by a retail shop here, as well as a few from ebay. All of them charged my S4 at 0.3-0.5A (generally phones charge at 1A + nowadays, s4 is 2A).

If you want a charging cable, look into getting a branded nokia/motorola/etc cable. E.g. The Nokia CA-101 can be obtained quite cheap from DX, and is a legit cable.

    • +1

these are 26AWG and should charge reliably take a look at some of the other threads about this.

      • I see. My bad!

I'll purchase a couple and test them out. Great pricing if they're legit :)

  • +2

I bought couple of tikbro micro usb cables from op for $3.25 e.a few days back after someone recommended it here on meritline deal thread.

I threw away all the other cables i had. these are the only ones i'd ever use. The charging times are on par with the stock nexus 4 cable may be even better.

    • Pretty sure stock cable is 24AWG

  • Is this micro B?

  • Got 2m this time, thanks rep but we missed your deals ($1 cases each Tuesday)
I hope you get some cases for both of nexus 7s

  • Are the cables that come with this charger the same high quality ones?

    http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/261278175662

    • +1

No, they are the cheap ones. Got some from previous deal Not that good. They are similar to the $1 cables you can find in eBay

  • do u have any wall chargers (ie the 240v to the usb)?
thinking whether i can work with the 3M and hide the cabling around since i've bought quite a few 1M from you already

  • anyone know of a 3A wall adapter? :)

  • +2

Bought these before, 3M works fine with our androids (N7, N5 and S3).

  • Do you have any high quality cables with a ferrite core ?

  • REP any deal on quality 2A USB car charger & iphone cables 30pin & lighting?

  • Hi rep
I paid for one of these cables yesterday, after reading about it on the ozbargain comments. I missed the sale by one day, any chance you can help me out with a store credit?

  • Will the "power banks" lose charge through time?
eg, fully charged, 6 months later will it still be full, at least 90%?

    • ever battery does that to some degree.
"Li+ batteries have a self-discharge rate of approximately 5–10% per month"

from wiki. but from my experience its much lower. not sure about this product but a Panasonic 18650 3400mAh after 3 months charges till full in less than 5 minutes.

  • +1

I bought 2 1m cables for my samsung s3, both are excellent quality and don't unplug easily. Great length and everything, couldn't be happier. Oh and customer service was great, first package was really late, thought it didn't come through, so they sent another 2 and ended up getting all of them. They were happy to let me keep them without paying any extra.
Highly recommend these guys, and the cables are fantastic.

  • I'd be keen to get one for my Nexus 7 2013 - however, I've read the stock cable is 28/24 AWG and this is 26 AWG. Would this make a big difference for charging?

    • Knowing barely anything about this and the thickness difference between 28 to 26 awg I would assume a negligible difference. Of course the shorter the cable the higher the voltage will stay which means quicker charging but it doesn't really drop that much even on 3m.

  • Would the 3m cable work on my Nexus 7 2013?

    • +1

It's working with my nexus 2 2012 without problem, so should work with yours

      • Thanks mate

      • is that meant to say Nexus 7 (2012)?

  • Rep, I've received my 1m cable today. Great and fast delivery. I have clarification about the printed description on cable which says 28AWG/1P AND 26AWG/2C
Can you explain whether the cable is 26 or 28 AWG?

    • 2 conductors are 26
      1 prime is 28

  • I have another positive confirmation that the 1m cable Works. I charged my experia so from 14% to 100% in 5 hours via the usb port on my docking station.

  • Impressed with shipping time, and the 3M cable is working fine on my Nexus 4. Much better quality than I expected!
