Woolworths Credit Cards have an annual fee. $49 for the Everyday Money and $89 for the Qantas.
Is anyone aware of an offer to waive the annual fee on either of these?
they have had promos in the past for first year fee waived i think?
You can get the qantas card with bonus 16,000 points. 15,100 points gets you a $100 wish gift card so cancels out the annual fee. Its actually a pretty good credit card, 1 point per dollar and a mastercard.
I got my fee waived last year by calling them up and asking.
I also got $82 worth of interest refunded (+lost interest of 5c on the interest) last week from them which i was quite happily surprised they agreed to. it was my fault i missed the closing balance payment requirement, but i thought i'd just try and ask them to make a gesture of good will. i think it only worked because its my main credit card and we put alot of money through it.
I rang up to cancel the best they could offer me was 2000 points. I ended up keeping it, I make back the annual fee a few times.
We asked them to waive and got nothing , ended up cancelling after one year. They were really tight about waiving fees even after we rang up numerous times
