        • On top of that, TGG don't offer any trade-in facility (nor do they have the relevant licences for that). So any argument made that we shouldn't be expecting "new" games (or should be satisfied with such) is void.

          As much as the ACCC is a toothless tiger, there's pretty serious repercussions for selling/trading secondhand goods when not authorised to.

    Honestly, I know we've mentioned it before but it really does seem like the only way we are going to get any more info from GG's is to start blitzing their social media. We're just talking to ourselves in here now that they have refused to comment any further and deal with the issue at hand.

      While we are at it, lets all have Ozbargain t-shirts made up from Vistaprint using "take30" coupon and only pay postage. After we receive our t-shrits, we should each camp at a Goodguys store / make a peg line to warn customers that the Goodguys will take your payment, not provide the goods and then not refund your money in a timely fashion

    Oh dear, just got an email from TGG requesting me to review one of the games I bought during the sale…one that they reckon was posted out on the 20th but hasn't even arrived. Given my situation and the quality of product a few other users here are reporting, I can't see this review thing ending well for them at all :-)

    • I don't think they post anything - so far everybody has mentioned that their stuff was couriered, so you should be have been able to track the delivery? Did you get an email from Temando? There would've been a tracking code there.

      I'm glad I checked mine (it was in Junk Mail) because I found out that the address wasn't correct and it was almost on its way back to TGG. A quick email to Couriers Please and it was sorted out and redelivered next day.

      • I received an email yesterday afternoon to say one of my games has been despatched. No mention of Temando or any tracking number.

      • Sorry for the slow reply, but no, nothing from Temando on the first order just an email from TGG saying "good news your order has been dispatched" and the contents had 4 games on backorder and one marked as shipped! My second order I did get a Temando thing for 4 of my 12 games that they'd been able to source so those should actually turn up.

  • Just received delivery (yes, today) of 2 of my games (Lego City and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 3DS) whilst I've still got Luigi U, Super Pokemon Rumble and the Guitar Hero Metallica bundle on backorder.

    • i dont think there are weekend deliveries in my area… did you get despatch emails or did you receive it randomly?

      • no didn't get any despatch email. I got a missed call from their call centre but I didn't call them back and neither did they.

    I've been following this thinking I'd not get my games but receive a refund and gift card. After not receiving a call or dispatch email I was quite surprised to get an email today notifying of games dispatched. Not one or two, but all of them.

    I ordered around 11am on the sale day and it was assigned to Moorabbin. The titles I ordered were:

        • i also received a despatch email for my two vita games i ordered (Unit 13 and resistance). No word on the 5 ps3 games i ordered though.

        • It's an older game, I would be surprised if it was still being produced/ or stock available.

    • I arrived home this arvo to find a little box on my doorstep.

      Ridge Racer - Unsealed, two papers with date expired codes.

      Resistance Burning Skies - Unsealed, two papers one with network pass code.

      The unsealed games look to be in good condition, I don't believe they are used.

  • Just got a call from Good Guys Rockdale (although my order was allocated to Banksia…). I only ordered Pokemon White 2, which a previous email stated everyone would definitely be getting, but the person calling rambled something off about how they thought they had stock but its gone missing… Getting full PayPal refund + $20 gift card. Really disappointing. If anyone bought multiple copies/copies they don't really have any intention of playing of Pokemon Black/White 2, I'd really appreciate it if you could PM me and sell it to me.

    I received an email this morning at 11:30am saying that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (PS3) was dispatched. New Super Luigi U is still on backorder though, but at this stage, one out of two ain't bad (especially this late in the game).

    Good luck for others who have ordered their games, and just to update for those who ordered Blops2 on PS3, they do have some.

    I just got an email saying Pokemon Black 1 and White 2 have been dispatched. Soul Silver is still backordered, though.

    • Out of curiosity, how long after getting the dispatch email did everyone receive their orders (for those who actually got a dispatch email)? Also, I'm assuming couriers don't do Sunday deliveries?

      Just trying to work out roughly when I can expect my games to arrive.

    My first order (placed at 750am) contained a copy each of Super Luigi U & Zombie U, which was allocated to Melton but have not heard anything about it other than a missed called from TGG yesterday. I was really hoping this would be fulfilled as I would have liked a few games to go with the WiiU Santa is bringing this Christmas.

    I had my second order (placed at 8am) delivered via courier from Melton around an hour ago (mostly Pokemon games & the lego 3ds). This order had not been allocated to a store, so it was a happy surprise when it arrived with the games in new condition, though the 3DS games were not shrink wrapped. This order was missing Heart Gold & Soul Silver which I had really wanted because my kids wanted the pokewalkers, but after reading here I didn't really expect them.

    While I am happy to receive some of the games I ordered, I am disappointed in the lack of communication from the good guys & still having no idea what is happening with the remaining orders.

    Just got an email saying my games have been recieved and will be despatched this week. Majority were DS and PS3 games including zombi u. NSMB Luigi U however is still sitting at processing.

  • I've got a dispatch email for 2 games across my 2 orders of 7 (in total) games. Here's hoping there's no problems with them like others have had.

    I just checked The Good Guys facebook page and there is no post by anyone complaining about the games clearance.They must be deleting people's post on their page very quickly as I believe so many people would be ropeable at this stage.

      The easiest solution would be to post some complaints yourself and then take a screenshot with dates and see what happens afterwards.

      Once there is proof of TGG doing such things, there will be reckoning.

    Can someone help me I'm sick of waiting and need a refund in 2 days if possible I emailed goodguys and they said we handed it onto our custom service team and to wait a few days which I don't have and im wondering if a paypal dispute would be quicker or just wait? Thanks

    • According to a TGG rep I spoke to if you phone in or email (slower) it can be initiated on the spot and completed within 48 hours as opposed to the usual 1 week. Do it by phone if necessary and ask how long it will take. The phone line should be open until 11 PM or from 8AM tomorrow morning.

    I thought they were here to help and yet, the whole time, they were secretly reporting our posts! This is going to worsen my trust issues.

    If anyone deserves a 'Reporter' badge, it's all those hardworking men and women who went out of their way to report TGG to the ACCC.

          I've already had two of my posts reported/unpublished, neither of which were in bad taste. In one of them I was complimenting the friendliness of a certain (She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named) TGG employee.

          Oh well, TGG has lost me as a customer. The only chance they have of getting me and probably quite a few of you guys back as customers would be for them to issue a formal declaration disavowing these actions of the rep. (Only if it really was the rep that did all these small little actions, if it was sanctioned by TGG. Well. GG)

    So basically TGG are doing what they can to source games for us. Might take some time since their suppliers are resorting to preowned games as well. Probably by the end of the week they will just contact us through generic emails and give us refunds and allocate gift cards to individuals. At least TGG are trying to supply games and good on them for that, as it's damage control for their reputation (especially near christmas). As for me, no games yet but after seeing posts on here that games are actually getting to people (even though those games are unpopular) I'm hoping to get something at least.

  • Got the one 3DS game from my order that they were restocking. Grateful for getting even that much, but if they haven't been able to "source from suppliers" by now, I want a refund. It's been 2 weeks - if they haven't heard back by now, the games ain't gonna be supplied!!

  • Like, it has nearly been two weeks since our orders. Remember we only have 45 days to submit a PayPal claim. If we don't hear anything in the next week I think a lot of claims will be filed.

      Nope, it seems that TGG are busy policing social sites. They apparently have their hands full with all the unhappy customers of their recent games sales.

          Only a small fraction of people will complain online when their personal info is out there for all to see such as a Facebook wall. If every user id on OZB was the first and last name of the person posting I guarantee there would be far fewer replies.

          You will likely start seeing some Facebook hate though on their wall after what games are available are sent and the refunds are all sorted out.

          Just an observation. See what happens in the next couple weeks!

    OK, it's Monday, and still no indication that my games have even been shipped. Goddamn.

  • I received two phone calls last week (two orders of three games each), each confirming that if I don't receive a phone call by Friday, I can expect to receive all my back ordered games.. and that my copy of Black & Black 2 should have left them last Friday.

    • I think the only reason I got a second call was because I kept pestering them. I remember someone a few pages back posting that they got an email saying their games were dispatched, and then got another email or a call saying they actually didn't have them in stock, so I'm not going to get my hopes up until the games are actually in my hands.

      I also haven't received an email since the one that went out Sunday last week.

    You guys will like this. so I went to pick up the package (which I assume its from TGG), but this specific employee didnt want to look for my packages because there was too many (her words), this has happened 3 times with this employee, she seems to be lazy and doesnt want to do anything but stand behind a counter. I decided to call Australia Post, and they were disgusted, she has to give me the package, no excuse.

    Don't expect any more phone calls or emails, they are too busy keeping tabs on us over here and reporting posts.

    Despite having nothing more to say to us on the matter they are still logging into their OzBargain account, to "police" the thread no doubt?! Click on their User Profile and look at the last time they logged in - Today! They want to check up on us, they just don't want to talk to us.

    Somewhat surprisingly I came home to a parcel from All Media today…

    Haven't had a phone call (ever), haven't had an email other than the spam ones everyone has received, didn't even get a despatch notification from the GG warehouse or message from the courier. Just got one game (Ridge Racer 3DS) in a big bag and an invoice stating that all of the other games are on back order. This is despite some of those games ordered being included in the GG email confirming they had stock of a number of DS and 3DS titles.

    I'm starting to think any "outspoken critics" of GG in this thread might be getting slightly different treatment than some other customers have received…

      If you haven't provided details of your order to the TGG via ozb then I don't think they can link who you are to your order.

        If I was them, with access to all of their customer information systems, payment and shipping databases, time to lurk OzBargain and collate information, and the ability to scrape social network data from FB and Twitter…I would know who ALL of you were by now…:)

    I know most of you are too busy whinging and whining to care, but if you had bothered to login to TGG website and check your "Recent Purchases" you will have noticed that some of your games have been sourced and updated from "Backordered" to "Ready for Pickup" which means they should be dispatched in the next day or few.

    I know this as I have already recieved 2 of my games (COD:BO2 and Pokemon Dungeon) and this is what happened with the previous 2 games.

      And not everyone can log into TGG website to check, some of us, like me, used a guest account to check out and as such have no information like this.

          Mine are still all backordered, and I've called them already only to hear the same thing again and again that they are trying to get more stock. Sorry if I'm whinging and whining but I think I deserve to lol

          I had to wait 8 weeks for a copy of The Last of Us from playasia at a cheap price. It took playasia at least 3 weeks to acknowledge that there was a stock issue and cancelled one of my orders. Yet, here we see TGG getting blasted by the community when they have been providing updates in a far more timely fashion than playasia ever did.

          I just dont understand why there is so much whining. Step up and do something about it for yourself if youre not happy with the current progress!

          Plenty of you seem to have enough time to sit on here and whine about the status of your order all day yet cant be arsed picking up the phone and asking for a refund or a status update.

          Ringing their customer service line just results in them saying they can't tell me the status of my order.
          You're not helping anybody by coming on here and telling us what to do.

          Not only that, but us 'sitting here and whinging' should be no concern of yours. This is just a forum, we can talk about what we want, we aren't hurting anyone.

          We shouldn't have to be ringing them up and chasing the order up, an online order is supposed to be: pay, get receipt, get dispatch email, arrive at door.
          Not: pay, get receipt, get phone call saying they dont know when we'll get our orders, get emails saying they dont know when we'll get our orders, wait…wait…wait…

          I'm only speaking from my own experience here. I called them this morning about the games that are "ready for pickup" in my order and they said they will be shipped either tonight or tomorrow. So yes, I am trying to help people here, (unlike yourself who continues to whinge) and suggesting that if you have games "ready for pickup" that you call the store and ask for them to be delivered…

          The other 3 games I am waiting for they are still trying to source and asked if I wanted to refund them or wait it out.

          As far as "This is a forum, we can talk about what we want, we aren't hurting anyone.", Sure! This is a forum! You can talk about what you want! But some members of this community have also taken it upon themselves to spy on TGG's customer rep (when all she was doing was trying to keep the community updated) to try to find some dirt to whine about on here…. There was no reason for this at all and I would debate that Yes this was hurting someone!…

          I'll reiterate. You made an order, they told you they oversold on it and apologized, they provided reasonable updates, they had their representative's privacy compromised, and went silent (no surprise there). So because of this breakdown in trust between TGG and OZB members, TGG have decided to keep quiet here. So again, because the trust was broken by the minority here, the majority now have to suffer!

          Again, reiteration, you want an update? Call them! They aren't likely to speak to you here anymore.

          Dude, wasn't our fault communication broke down, please read previous comments. Why do you call yourself the majority*? Looks like you are the minority and we are the majority. You got it all wrong, the majority are getting nothing and the minority are. If you dislike what is going on this forum then ignore it or don't comment, if the mods found this thread not cool then it would have been closed ages ago and that would have been fine. What do you mean spying? Looks like we are being spied on after all we are the ones still commenting. I found people updating this thread useful (the gift cards for example), so lucky you your games got to you, most others didn't get lucky. Again, if this bothers you don't respond to the comments and move on.

          I've already called them several times, it's futile for me (might be because I have bad luck).

          Fair points on most things.

          If you're lucky enough to have someone actually tell you whats going on when you ring up, AND send you your games, you're in the lucky minority. A lot of us here have called plenty with absolutely NO more information given to us about when we'll get our games.

          As far as people hurting someone: the people who went and found the reps twitter and I would say almost abused her here weren't specifically the ones 'whinging' or saying they just want to get more info from TGG. Do NOT bunch us together like that.

          I'll reiterate: you got lucky getting information AND your order out of TGG. Plenty of us here have tried and failed to do what you somehow managed. Therefore we CAN 'whinge' as much as we want, in the hopes that the rep currently reading the thread can get an idea as to how annoyed we are, and maybe, just MAYBE give us an update on when we'll receive our goods that we have already paid for.
