Nice, will we ever see a similar deal for Google Play cards I wonder? I haven't seen them discounted at all.

Instructions on how to get Telstra to subsidise 66.7% off your purchases on Google Play:

      1. Buy a Telstra $30 sim starter kit when they are on sale for $10 (this happens fairly regularly at Kmart, The Good Guys, Big W etc.).
      2. Activate them as long life. This gives you six months to spend the money.
      3. Put the sim card in your android phone. When you get to the Google Play store, select "Bill my Telstra account" as your payment option.
      4. You now have $30 credit to spend on music, movies, whatever, for $10 spend.
      5. ???!??

        very clever, will try it.

      •

Is the music(or otherwise) registered to your phone, the starter sim, or your google account?
I haven't heard anyone mention transferring the music away from the starter sim after having bought it.

Considering the B1G1F was back in march I would say this is now better.

Yep, it just happened. There was only a two hour window so I guess it was easy to miss.

Plus I wasted about 15 minutes in a queue as HN could not process fast enough. Having a deal at HN for 1 hour is rubbish.

Buy online next time, and collect when ready.

    •

I wonder if I get my "We are sorry. here is a $40 gift card" in time to get these…

    •

My $40 gift card just came in the mail today. Will be making a trip down to my nearest TGG this Thursday! :D

    •

What did they offer this to you for?

      •

We bought some dirt cheap console games and TGG couldn't keep up with orders and since it was a massive fustercluck, those who cancelled their orders got a $40 gift card for their trouble.

any sales for Google Play card?

What a fantastic website, a search for itunes gift cards bring up anything but:

  •

Is this in store only or online too?

  •

Would Officeworks price match with 5% off?

    •

It -is- an advertised deal. But not an advertised price. So you can't expect to just go in and get one for 33% off.

It would be down to the individual stores deciding to do it or not going on past experiences.

There's more in the iTunes store besides music.

I use the credit for app purchases, iTunes movie rentals, iTunes Match subscription.
And also for OS X updates, when there used to be an upgrade cost (e.g. $20 or something for Snow Leopard)

Went to Maribyrnong store… they didn't have a clue about this deal. Showed the advert on Ozbargain and ended up walking out empty handed too.

    Anyone tried Alexandria branch?
