8 Pack of Superglue (Coles - Gungahlin, ACT) $0.30

360

I saw this doing the weekly run for groceries. At 30c for 8 it's a handy thing to have available when things break.

I wonder how many ozbargainers (or their kids) are going to be at the hospital over the next few days after sticking their fingers to various objects

    • +3

kids and superglue do not mix.

One of ours found a tube of superglue outside, managed to squirt themselves in the eye with it! Glued her eye completely shut :/ That was a fun hospital trip.

Ok, it's getting late, and I'm off to bed. Time for some shut-eye.

        • hello… I super glued myself… to myself

    • If parents can't work out hot to keep it away from their kids at least they will be saving $1.70 ;-)

At this price I'll break a few things and glue them back together!

my experience with this brand (or lack thereof) is that each tube is a one-shot deal. or maybe a 0 shot if the whole tube is dry. But it'll definitely be dry the next time you come back to it after that first use. But for 30c, bargain.

    • How often do you use superglue? Which brand doesn't dry out after a few months?

      • Not very often. I think it was a tube of bostik or Selley's brand I had that lasted 6 months or more without drying. This stuff dried out in days. Half the tube was air to start with though. But for 30c who cares? I happily pay $2 for a set of these at a $2 shop.

        • Keep it in the fridge and it will last for ages.

    • I had one once that was entirely air, no glue it in at all… I personally don't use superglue anymore, only the gel - got sick of sticking together things I didn't want stuck together.

I'll skip thanks - nothing worse than getting stuck in Canberra…

    • -3

Yeah, okay, but the jokes on you.

You were never going to go to Canberra just for superglue…even if it was free. Who are you kidding, otherwise…?

  • I feel ripped off and deflated - I payed 50c for a 4 pack only last week

Did you pay with 28 degrees master card? Might be able to get buyer protection refund. :)

    • Nothing that a piece of bicycle inner tube and superglue can't fix!

    • Man I paid $3 for 8….

30 cents upfront a couple of thousand when the hospital bills roll in

I use the UHU gel superglue its about $4 for a 3ml tube but I've been using the same tube for over 2 years.
You use less and it doesn't run like normal superglue.
