    Just use a 320GB Western Digital HD from MSY for $49. There are many tutorials on how to do this. It's very easy and takes maybe 10 minutes in total to complete. For more than $20 less you can get a much more reliable hard drive.

      I was thinking about doing the same, but i'm not tech savvy :(
      I was thinking that something comes up during christmas take it otherwise plan b.
      Also I was thinking about warranty issue too. Do MS allow it??

        You have to flash the HD so that you can install the Xbox 360 operating system.

        Supposedly you just switch the hard drive back out if you need warranty but for my piece of mind, I think I'm going to spend the extra $20.

        Now, time to hunt for some LIVE codes.

        Edit: Screw that, it's been down to $49 a few times. No way I'm paying $70.

      If we're putting in 2.5"s, why stop there? Why not go with a 750? Or is there a limit it can take?

        Nothing over 320 GB is supported and it's limited to supported drives. The WD 320 GB drives are the (or one of) largest capacity drives.

    Thanks. I was gonna move my old HDD to my 4GB anyway, but it's good to now still have a hard drive in my 360 S.

    Its still a bargain compared with usual prices. Even dodgy asian versions are 65-70

    May be better value to buy a 320gb new console with games that gets the $100 cashback.

      I got the hard drive from jb hifi because its official and I'm not tech savvy. Looking around elsewhere this price is quite a bargain! Can't wait for it to arrive in the post.

    I'm trying to work out whether it's better to get the 4gb E console and the 320gb hdd from JB or a 250gb kinect bundle with a few games??

    Hell, you can use flash drives as a hard drive. Also believe you can format external's as well, that kind of coin should get you a 1TB external
