Is it a good price? Previous deals all seem to have 2M cable at $2 something.

    • agreed seems there were some better prices before. (not necessarily the same seller)

      • +3

Yes, basically paying the same price but get 1m less of cable. I don't need one urgently, so i will pass for this one.

  • Thanks, bought three 2m cables

  • +4

These cables work fine. The only negative is the HDMI logo fell off one of my cables, so no actual problems.

    • Yeah same…still lasting longer than a cable I bought for $30 a few years ago though, so can't complain!

    • -6

I had the same issue but for me this is an actual problem.

      • +2

        First world problems…..

      • Are you admitting to reselling these cables for a profit?

That is the only situation I could think of where it is an actual problem…

    • Thanks for your comment, we will make improvement with manufacturer.

      • If it makes it more expensive, don't worry about it!

  • +1

thanks grabbed one. 1.5m wldve been ideal for me, but more expensive than the 2m unfortunately

    • +1

ditto. 1.5 would have been perfect.

  • 1.5m here too!

  • +4

SQ again. You put a dodgy 'cable joiner' in there just to get the default price to be $1.

    • You have to do that on eBay these days to get to the top of the lowest price listing. I don't like it but finally had to succumb and do it myself

      • +4

In the process you annoy the crap out of potential buyers. Being lured in by this tactic previously, now I intentionally skip the "too good to be true" listings. I may pay 10c more on sub-$3 items (and yet in some cases, have saved even more) but I like to think my purchase is keeping some sellers out there honest.

    • I actually use those joiners to put android sticks and similar on longer cables….they have their uses :)

I've found these guys cables to be thick, sturdy, reliable and economically priced and delivered quickly.

    A plus from me.

  • I bought one of these (looks exactly the same) a while ago and initially it was fine. Then it went bad. The only HDMI cable I've ever had a problem with. So not for me thanks.

    • I had the same problem, had one of the green version and it went bad after a month or so.
My other one is still good though.

You can only blame yourself for buying cheap stuff.
You need Monster Hdmi they are only around $200 per meter and will last longer than this.

      • 1cm Monster HDMI cable!

        • +7

Nah brah, you need cables with Anti-Virus protection! It's broscience!
          http://www.zdnet.com/this-xbox-hdmi-cable-has-anti-virus-pro…

Sometime in the future, when everything is connected via optic fibre I reckon people will still get conned into buying more expensive fibre thinking that expensive cables will somehow speed up the transmission of light.

Go with EzyHD cables then for the best budget & reliability, I've never had an issue apart from them being slightly too wide when connecting multiple ones into a receiver

      • I normally buy the cheap ones from Jaycar for around $10 each. I've got quite a few of those and never had a problem with any of them.

      • I've had DOA cables from ezyHD, so nothing is perfect or guaranteed.

    • +1

Same here. I purchased 2 of these and one stopped working for no reason.

I ended up spending a bit more and buying these from ebay and never had a problem since.

  • +2

So whats the difference in these cables that they sell? (Besides the price)

    Their other listing:
    2M HDMI Cable
    @2.65

    Current Deal 2M: $3.98

      from hongkong?

      • Oh yeah.

      • All of these cables come from China/HK. So if you can wait 2 weeks for delivery, you can save $1.33

    • The ones from this deal could be better quality. They sport a 'HDMI' sticker and specify 28AWG conductors.

  • Hehe, love ozbargin. Went to the site and got the message "82 people have bought this in the last hour" :)

  • YAY! Thanks OP was just needing to buy some more HDMI Cables from Aus!

  • pretty good deal i guess

  • Hi all. I just recently bought a Samsung Note 3 and it appears to have 2 slots at the bottom. One of them looks like a mini (or micro?) USB/HDMI. It's the same slot I use to charge my mobile. I would love to buy a few so I can hook it up directly to my TV so my family is able to watch a few videos I have taken on the mobile. Am I able to purchase said cable from you?

    • i think note 3 still need MHL to plug the hdmi cable.

      https://www.google.com/search?q=google+mhl&rlz=1C1CHMO_enID5…

    • I also order one of micro hdmi for my galaxy note 2 but after I ordered it , I noticed Samsung mobile phones are only connected to the hdtv via MHL adaptor. I tried to cancell my order yesterday but they regret to cancel it and dispatched it today . That was realy disappointing to me. Now I've got a micro hdmi but that's useless for me.

      • Hello Store Rep would you happen to sell any MHL adaptors? Anyone purchased them before? How are the eBay adaptors like?

  • Arrgh… I just bought a 1.5m cable not 3 days ago from SS for $4.99!! I should've been patient!

Ah well time to buy more…

I think, this is a better offer: $3.93 incl. postage (shipped from Australia)
2 m HDMI Cable v1.4 3D High Speed with Ethernet HEC Full HD 1080p Digital Gold Plated
    http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_407036_2M_HDMI_Cable_v14_…

  • How do we tell which cables are better quality than others?
I know there's like 1,00000+ no-branders and some branded ones like Belkin, but what are the major giveaways for good cables?

    • HDMI either works or it doesn't that's more or less how digital cables work…. However if you buy a cable from a bricks and mortar retailer then you should be able to return the cable without any issues…. Buying from the net however can be cheaper for most people in the long run(Ive never had a cable die/dead).

    • I can vouch for these.

  • Hey rep, do you have flexible (soft/bendable) HDMI Cable because I find this and other cable very hard to bend.
