    • I found this on Samsung website -

“participating Australian retail store” excludes any online bidding or auction websites (including www.ebay.com.au) or any unauthorised retailers. The Promoter recommends that prior to purchasing a Participating Product, the customer verify that the retailer is authorised to participate in this Promotion.

      • +1

Was not in bidding or auction format and TGG are authorised retailer. Hopefully TGG supply their own receipt and they wouldn't even know.

      • Pretty sure you'll get a receipt from the good guys anyway. I've bought a 3DS xl a while ago on ebay and it came with good guys receipt, being delivered from the good guys

Just bought the Moto G, check out total $175.60 but Paypal deducted full amount $247. I checked my Paypal balance it says voucher $71.40. So we are not getting the cash discount but a ebay or paypal voucher?
    Op please confirm.

    • +1

Mine says funding source is 30% from voucher and 70% from CC (Amex). So looks about right

      • Paypal shows the total original price of the item but includes the 30% voucher as a funding source.
Treat the 30% off code as a gift card of sorts.

      • yep charged me full, I'm quite confused.

$98 voucher? Where do we get this voucher?

        Wait…

Checking my bank statement it seems correct. They did reduce the price. Its not a voucher!

      • +1

Check your bank account. Mine took out the discounted price only.

      • +2

I think you are wrong. I checked my creditcard, and it only deducted the discounted price. I think you need to check very carefully and please revoke your neg quickly if you are wrong.

      • Paypal refunded 30% but didn't show. All sorted.

    • My PayPal receipt clearly has the discount. Maybe redemption limit reached while you checked out? My eBay email does not show the discount.

    • No probs here. I used the eBay app and the discount was applied prior to final payment.

I picked up a Sharp Microwave - dunno if it's much better than you could barter off in store, but it was $73 off the shelf price which seems good to me.

The Logitech UE Boom is definitely worth picking up for $120 delivered.

Logitech 2420738 Speaker Bluetooth UE Boom good buy for someone?

    • i got one of these. pretty good price and decent speakers.

    • You can buy 2 using the phone app and falls under $100 total discount.

I purchased 2 speakers for approx $231 (both 30% off)

  • didnt really need anything besides the logitech UE boombox! great buy!!

Looks like these are water and stain resistant.

    4tb hdd at $160

    should I buy?

    • +3

      Hell yeah.

    • $200 from DSE. $220 from Officeworks.

Personally I prefer to buy HDDs in store, especially desktop size ones as they could get rough transport by post. Not sure if an Officeworks Pricematch would be possible.

If you don't mind it being posted, then go for it!

      • +3

The stores get their stock via transport too..

        • +1

But they are stacked in proper pallets marked as fragile so hopefully they don't have morons in the supply chain who drop them.

        • +2

Only if the store is big. If they don't sell enough units, I doubt whoever delivers it to them is going to be delivering pallets worth of them. I just can't see a Good Guys store buying a pallet worth of HDDs. They'll be delivered it the same way you'll be.

Dang it, the Moto G is so cheap but I bought it just last week. DANG. IT.

    • Where did you buy it? if it's at TGG you may claim price difference.

      • Bought it for 225 @ JB HI-FI

        • I got it for 230 from JB Hi-Fi last week, dang they are sneaky buggers not giving me 225.

      • I bought one yesterday at TGG. So what can I do?

        • +1
        • Cheers. You reckon it'll work? Thanks in advance if it does work haha.

        • -1

Why did we know about this sooner?? Could be better than Officeworks 5% depending on the price difference. Not sure if TGG have PayWave though.

          1. Buy TGG stocked product from retailer that has it for the highest price.
          2. Lodge claim with TGG
          3. ???
          4. Profit!

Really wish they sold NAS systems. Could do with an upgrade!

  • I <3 OP… now what to do with that tab pro i bought last week =( hasnt even arrived yet and now i got a note 10.1 :P

  • The Logitech UE is a good buy at only $112 — cheapest on static ice is $165. Few/no Apple products are available, though there are a few tablets from Samsung in the store.

Just buy and get the discount while it is still available, then think later! (Both will be good…. just check prices against Bing Lee for comparison…)

      • Yeah, I decided to just get one. My Oppo is sitting safely in Perth but I needed something while away for work. Cheers.

paypal crapped out on me :( never seen that error message before "cannot complete purchase"

    • +1 is it item specific or just in general?

      • i tried to buy the seagate 2tb expansion drive, got the error message, and it stating to check my email and paypal for an order confirmation… but it didnt advance to the payment details section… dont want to try a third time, just in case.

        • Yeah same with MS Office it seems

        • +1

          Anyone getting this?

        • Just try again, it takes nothing unless you put accept and pay. I got through after 5+ times, about 10 mins trying.

        • use the phone app, much easier!!1

        • Yes, ensure to logout of paypal. Somehow I was logged in. After the third go it worked.

        • +1

Swapped browsers. Seemed to be the only way to get the payment to process.

        • Tried a few times, cleared cookies etc. and still had some timeouts on eBay too, got there in the end just by keeping on trying. I doubt TGG crashed eBay though :-)

        • worked on the 'work pc' fourth time was a charm! thanks OP

    • It happened to me as well, but finally got it working. I got the Seagate 4TB, $161.60 delivered to Brisbane.

    • Likewise. Getting a couple of different errors. Hm.

    • I had the same problem using my desktop,

try the phone app, works perfect.

      • The Android app gave me the same error.

Eventually got it to go through on a PC, been trying for 20 minutes already!

  • Anyone know which blender is good for protein smoothies?

LOL, that Moto G must be popular. I just got a popup that said 25 people bought it in the last hour

    • maybe the limit has been reached for the voucher, if that many of that item has been purchased

      • Nope just bought Moto G half an hour ago

  • +8

Damnit, why can't I find something to buy?

    • +16

      Because you don't need something

      • +3

        That's …. correct. Oh well.

        • +16

That feel… I'm in the same boat.

IF THERE'S A SALE I MUST BUY SOMETHING.

        • +4

I had a look at the prices but one or more of the following must be true:

          1. I have everything I need.
          2. I don't crave stuff.
          3. The prices are still better elsewhere sometimes.
    • +4

Don't worry … it's not a bad thing. I am looking for 30min now. Found lots of stuff which I would like but don't need. Ah well … saved money!
(And a positive side effect: I will not buy these "things" in the future for a more expensive price as I know I would have got it cheaper with this deal.).

      • +1

I am getting back about $120 from 28 degrees and tgg due to this deal which is good.

I also looked over 30 minutes but failed to make any purchase…

      • +2

Navman MiVue 358 Dash Cam for $106.30….bargain!

    • Thanks. Will get one as well.

  • My god, wish I waited a couple of days and bought a Latissima+ Nespresso instead of the Inissia. $243.30 delivered after cashback. Assuming ebay stores qualify for cashback.

    UMilk would be $123.30.

I paid $139 yesterday for Inissia (cheapest model) after CB.

EDIT: Actually Latissima won't be that price, but UMilk price should be accurate.
