There’s no app for this!

Many years ago, before we became so technology obsessed, there was one game that both challenged and entertained kids for hours on end — the Puzzle Cube! A great lesson in patience and a fantastic way to improve spatial awareness, exercise the brain and stimulate the imagination, the Puzzle Cube is fun for kids of all ages (and those who are kids at heart)! So put your iPads away for a few hours and give it a go!

How fast are you?

Twist the blocks around until each side of the cube consists of only one colour. The World Record is 5.5 seconds! Do you have what it takes to be a Puzzle Cube Master?

you should have read the comments from the previous deal before posting this.

this product is rubbish, not even worth $5 delivered.

    • +1
    • I read all two pages of comments, can I have my 10 minutes refunded please. I bought one last year, turns smoothly, all the coloured stickers are still stuck on, cost $5, it's not an original Rubic, but a Chinese copy, exactly what I wanted and paid for.

Its rubbish, and Kogan sold as Genuine. Shipped from Asia, cheaper on ebay.

Would only pay $5 if I could insert it in Ruslan.

    • Better question…

      Where?

  • +1

I would have thoguht Rubix Cube was a copyrighted object, so this would be an illegal surely!

    • +1

But they inspired Ruslan to make this cube. Totally different.

    • How can you copyright a cube? The patent for the mechanism has long since expired.

Anyway, Kogan has no respect for law.

  • +1

    lol

    anyone pay $19 for this?

    Leaves warehouse in 3-4 weeks

    yyeahhhh…. no

    • +2

By the time those 3-4 weeks are up, the specs will have changed to make it a 2x2x2 cube and all squares the same colour.

      • +1

ruslan would also call this a great feature as it 'simplifies gameplay' and 'reduces player confusion'

      • Warning, don't eat food while reading kabigon's comment. Almost lost my lunch laughing.

  • I almost Negged this for the absolutely pathetic description that the OP has copy/pasted

I mean really…. Is the OP so young as to not realise this is not a clever or innovative product? It doesn't need a story, it's a Chinese copy of a Rubik Cube

So I will neg it because the price is crazy high for something you can buy almost anywhere at a lower price

  • Get a Dayan Zhanchi or FangShi ShuangRen v2 instead! This will be complete junk even for $5.

I used to only buy Rubiks brand cubes and couldn't break a 30-40 second barrier, but now hold around 25sec average with the Dayan cube. I only use intuitive F2L and 2-look oll/pll.

    • My son would love a full set of these cubes (2x2, 3x3 etc etc). Can you recommend where and what full set (Dayan or Rubik?) to get for him?

      • Theres plenty of online stores, but the only one I've bought from is dx.com (http://www.dx.com/s/dayan)

The delivery took almost 3 weeks, but it was free world wide shipping.

I would recommend the Dayan cubes purely for the ease of turning right out of the box, the Rubiks brand cubes require a lot of "tweaking" to get them relatively smooth.

Having said that, you can walk right into a shop and buy Rubik's 2x2/3x3/4x4 and 5x5 (ie. Mindgames in Melbourne CBD) and pick them up today if you don't want to wait.

  • The World Record is 5.5 seconds!

    Robots are superior

    • Yep 5.55 by Mats Valk - Previously held by Melbourne based speed cuber Feliks Zemdegs at 5.66 seconds!

Feliks still holds the more important record (IMO) of average time.
