So if I quit after 2 months, it would have cost me $101, but I get 2 months of broadband with a quota of 70GB/m, a $100 gift card, and a modem.

If you have no option but the Telstra network, then this is cheaper than Telstra at least, particularly the large 250GB plan.
Belong is owned by Telstra.
Exetel on Telstra network Zone3 - $50/month for 500GB (less $10 for Zone1).
even the 100GB only cost $19.90 for exetel.

jeryw: not everyone can get that plan. People who have access only to Telstra DSLAMs will pay $30 or $40 for the 100GB plan, depending on Zone.

I'm not saying they are cheap, but comparing this plan (no contract) with other contract plans is not apple to apple.

It seems to a ok deal if you only need a connection for a few months.
Pity the packages don't include a full phone service.
This is a big negative - You will not be able to use the Belong phone service to make other types of calls besides those included in your bundle (basically only local and 1300,1800 are included)such as national (STD) or overseas calls or calls to mobile phones. You can do so using a calling card which uses a local or 1300, 13 or 1800 access number.
They better have unimaginably good support for this price.
The support is awesome. All Australian, ie not an OS call centre. If you have an issue, the communication from them is great.
