TigerAir have launched a mailing list with specials etc, called the Infrequent Flyer Club. First 5000 to join get a $100 voucher.

Note they have more periods where they will be giving away the vouchers if you signup:

Offer Period 1 - Today - Exhausted.

Offer Period 2 12.00am AEST on 02/05/2014 Close 11.59pm AEST on 02/05/2014, or when 500 valid claims have been received (whichever is first to occur)

Offer Period 3 12.00am AEST on 09/05/2014 Close 11.59pm AEST on 09/05/2014, or when 500 valid claims have been received (whichever is first to occur)

Offer Period 4 12.00am AEST on 16/05/2014 Close 11.59pm AEST on 16/05/2014, or when 500 valid claims have been received (whichever is first to occur)

Successful claimants will be notified by an email within two (2) business days of submitting a successful claim.

The first five hundred (500) valid claims received in each of Offer Period 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 will each be awarded a $100 Tigerair voucher.

Go to the homepage (one you've signed in)

Signup number should be under name on LHS
Up to 1893 now

  • Not even sure exactly what this is, not sure how I missed it before, but signed up anyway. No emails or anything to confirm though, is this normal?

    • I didn't get a confirmation email (I signed up second round). People have reported receiving them, but so far it looks to be no indication of whether you were lucky or not. Monday afternoon/night you should check your email!

      • if it makes any difference.. got one voucher for the one that recieved a confirm and the others not.. if that makes sense.. so guess it doesn't make a diff..

        Well it's pretty stupid overall. I would guess such a person to be generally bad at the internet.
        Look the way I see it, I am sure Tiger Airways would be really happy for Ozbargain to boost up the deal. More exposure is always a good thing.

      Just to clarify.. got 1 on outlook/hotmail at 5:36pm respectively right on.. bout the same time King asked (usual time.. tho last week it was 3pm?). Didn't see it right away cos had my gmail going and was watching for something anything on that, but like I said seems they aren't bothering with cheery welcomes or condolences this time, you either got it (def by now) or not.

      • That may be the case but they have definitely stuffed up the first 500. I signed up a bit passed 12:01 and got nothing, whereas my S/O who submitted his maybe 30 secs later did!

        • hmm well.. worked out as I suspected.. and indeed seems 12:01 was the start time cos the emails I fired off right on 12:00 to 12:01 got nothing and got 2 pretty much on :01 and like 20-30 secs after.. then nothing after that. Guess they chose 12:01 to make it fairer for all.. Judging by my timestamps last weeks was the hardest (didn't wanna leave Auntie McSmell or Uncle Arthur behind?? :))

          My guess is they also vetted to make sure all fields were filled as (if you were hand submitting) it was possible to skip ahead at least one screen. I have no reason to doubt it.. I believe them when they say it was a tech glitch and emails weren't sent out as per schedule.. that's all.

      Pretty sure, unfortunately. I made a sizeable number of attempts (gmail, outlook, and others) and got 2 vouchers (1 hotmail/1 outlook) but nothing else, zip nada. Emails were sent at 5:36pm AEST

      12:01:30 sounds like you were in with a chance.. probably just milliseconds too late (Sorry to rub it in)

    i got one on outlook but none on my 3 gmail accounts.. i think maybe their system is still clearing through the backlog or could it be something to do with gmail ?

    will find out tomorrow from tiger air.. my sister had 2 gmail accounts and did not get any…

    Recheck inboxes guys.. you never know..
