  • Can someone else who got this card recently try the My Rewards link in online banking? I get an error.

  • i got told im not allowed to have more then 2 hsbc cards and to quaLIFY for this offer im best closing my plat card and reapply for this deal as they wont accept product transfer from plat card to a plat card with no fee for life. what am i best doing?

    • which card do you have at the moment? qantas platinum or the same platinum as this offer?

      • the same platinum as this but with an annaul fee

  • thanks OP. I just upgraded my HSBC card to this. This is a good deal for people who do not qualify for the Citibank signature card.

Just did a quick worksheet up comparing ANZ rewards platinum (my current card on 35% amex/65% visa mix), citi signature, and HSBC Platinum. It looks like the best bang for my buck based on 5k a month spend is Citi Signature redeeming for gift cards/prepaid visa.

  • i upgraded my classic card to this platinum one. how can i be sure that i will not be charged for annual fee?

  • It does not say on hsbc website that this will have 0 annual fee. What assurances do we have that we will not be chargeD?

  • I went to a HSBC branch and did the ID check, surprisingly straight forward, done in 30 seconds!

    • Received a letter and got rejected, anybody on the same boat?

  • most dodgy bank ever
had an account with em years ago and closed, now still considered as "existing customer"
question: how is it legal to still hold my personal information after i closed account this long ago?

    worst internet banking experience ever

  • I have received my 10,000 points (equal to $50)

not as good as the previous 30,000 point offer.

this time they didn't charge the annual fee on the first statement and then remove it next statement.

  • How soon after the transaction do you get the points?
I finally managed to log into the credit card account and under My rewards it says no rewards available for this account?
Their verification processes are a real pain in the butt.

  • +1

it took me two account statement cycles to get the points.

received the physical gift card today.

    time to close the account.

  • did anyone managed to get the 10k points by doing a upgrade or filling out a product transfer form from the platinum annual card to this no annual fee one?
i was told at first i would qualify but now they say its only for new applications not product transfers. oh well got 30k points last time and converted it over to this no annual for life offer.
