25% off all packs + free installation, (this make Essential pack $24/m and sports pack $49/m, meanwhile Entertainment combo is $49/m)
its 6 months contract and it cost $75 for Foxtel set top box (My Star).
just got essential pack for myself, Foxtel boys will come and install on early Wed 11 June.

They don't. It's exclusive to SBS.

Well you can watch SBS on Foxtel, but you don't need Foxtel to watch SBS

6 Moths free is a VERY good deal.

I got $25 equipment fee as i have connections at house and can self install

It's not 25% off it is $25 off the basic, sport is full price.
Also try Telstra, they may have a better deal.
This is not Hd either so normal Sbs would look much better than Fox satellite SBS.
Why don't they ever offer these deals for existing customers? Existing customers dont get any benefits.
Call them up, tell them you are sick of Foxtel and ask to be put through to disconnections. Tell them you wish to disconnect unless they can offer you a better deal (the $25 monthly discount). I did and got myself the $25 off per month for 6 months. I have been off contract since November last year.
B.T.W OP: It is not 25% off it is the same $25 off per month campaign that has been around for a little while.
Agreed - I ring tell them I want to cancel and I end up with a half price package.
They start by asking what you watch, then they will try to remove parts of the package ( eg sports) to reduce price.
Keep saying not acceptable, until you get it half price. For example I get entire package (basic, sports & movies) for about $65 per month. Not HD but still OK.
You do have to be prepared to cancel ( and I am) , and it is a pain as you only get the special rate for two or three months so you have to repeat regularly.

Did the same last month after reading posts on whirlpool. Rang up Foxtel and said I want to disconnect. They asked me why. I said it's too expensive. Then they will ask you would you stay if it was cheaper. I replied maybe. They put you on hold and come back with 1/2 price for 6 months. Currently saving $65 a month for 1 phone call.
Yeah, ring them up and threaten to cancel. I was on $89 a month or thereabouts and rang up to cancel and he got it down to $32 a month for 3 months. Still cancelled… :)
See what Telstra can do. They can provide Foxtel s well., you don't have to go through Foxtel.
Huh? 25% off but then a $75 charge cancels out that 25%. i.e. 25% off $49 per month is $12.25 per month x 6 months = $73.50. But then you have to pay $75 just to get started!!
