Rep, where is the promised Hong Kong VPN? It has been a month since you last promised, see below

This is actually up and ready, we're just yet to publish it. It'll be out with a few more locations in an email over the next few days.

    • That's what I am wanting to know as well. Wouldn't have subscribed the vpn service without hongkong server promises.

  • Which is better, this or a smartDNS service?

    • the DNS based services are better for video streaming as they'll be quicker (you directly link to the website rather then route traffic via a dallas VPN). This assumes that the site you're using is supported by the DNS service.

But it's very cheap for a VPN.

    • Is this really such angood deal? After all, their others offer "Access to 25 locations" rather tha just to USA. More data, but far fewer countries can be accessed. And via a longer distance (Dalass, TX), not (yet) local HK…

Q: Could a US IP-adr be SUBJ to -more- attacks than one in AU?

Also, my Android devices can already run Pandora Radio… What am I missing?

      Finally, let's talk functionality:

      1. Could both of these options let me have a Kindle eBook free, which is offered Free in USA, but at non-Zero prices to us in AU?

      2. When I am prepared to pay for a book, can each type of workaround service let me buy a book, that Amazon.com.AU says "can't be delivered to my country"?

Why doesn't the UN or EU, et all. DENOUNCE this kind of subtle, corporate censorship? :-/

PS Another reason by-the-month payments cost more: fees to transfer $$$ overseas.

DOES THIS VENDOR HAVE AN AU-BASED PAYMENT OPTION, yet?

Well it's your own US IP address, not a shared one.
So no more bans/blocks because of other people's miss deeds.

The same guys offer multi country shared IP VPNs for less then that per year…if that's what you're after.

I have several VPN services, there guys are by far the quickest (i.e. I was able to stream live sporting match using their Iceland or Netherlands VPN end point access US servers & there was very little buffering.)

  • still going with my 2nd yr of cyberghost courtesy of uncharged bandwidth. credit:ec11/'12

  • Will this include the ability to terminate in other countries (eg: UK) as well, or only the US ?

  • really at this sort of price you could just purchase a complete vps with similar or more bandwidth

    • Indeed, however not everybody is able to setup a VPN. Also it requires maintenance and ensuring that everything is setup so that it works nicely upon reboots etc. This is simply a nicer way for less tech-savvy people :)

  • FWIW, DistroWatch.org, recently reported the recent update of an open source OS that uses VPN.sh (or was it London Media Privacy, or similar?) as its default VPN.

That OS - if I'm not confusing it w/ another updated about same time - loads a licensed copy of Windows (ie, using your licensed & medium) & creates a safe working environment, from which it's easy to reload Windows, if it gets corrupted.

NSA-proof? or NSA sponsored? some may wonder… dunno.

  • I signed up to the $1 deal a few weeks back. Needed some help on something and support replied after 2 weeks for the first question. They said that my question fell through the net and wasn't seen. I have since asked another question about the service which I posted on the 8th, still no reply. I guess I have to wait another 2 weeks. I've given up on using the service.

can second this, question asked on the 5th of June, still no reply, VPN service in offered country has been down since, thought they would care more. I understand getting the £5 deal isn't a lot of money, but how about a "we'll look into it"?

      disappointed. :(

  • bought this service lastime. the Speeds are shocking. i pull 15mbit without it but with it i only get 2mbit. not even enough to stream HD.

Not sure if they restrict my bandwidth cuz i got the cheaper $2/year deal or if their service is just this bad. tried most vpn locations and all same speed.

would not pay full price for this. im just using it to activate games now on steam/origin. only good use for it.

  • I could've sworn it was £1 a year a few weeks or a month back.

What's the difference between that plan and this plan?

    • The £1 plan was for a 150gb a Year with access to different locations
This plan is £10 which gets you 1Terabyte (1024gb) of data a Month and only has a 1 dedicated server in Dallas.

      Hope this helps :)

  • Getflix seems better value and easier, with no bandwidth limitations…

  • I suspect people are missing the point. it's for your own VPN end point in the US.
It's a specialised kind of user who'd want this.

  • Pretty good deal. VPS.US are doing $9.99 / Month for UNLIMITED bandwidth.

I'm using them at the moment - they are slightly slowish at certain times and might be shaped in some way but reliable.

  • I ordered 2 services yesterday morning. I received Payment confirmation and invoice straight away, but still have not received an activation email or account details ? Its been over 24 hours, usually its instant ?
Logged a support ticket as well - no response. How long does it usually take ?

    • ordered on 11/6 and still waiting for the activation. but the next due date is 11/6/2015, does it mean I cannot use it for one year?

      • I think next due date is the next recurring payment for your plan. The yearly plan you bought is already counting down but you haven't received the activation email to use it.

        • Hi rep, communication seems to be lagging. No activation email & no response to the logged support ticket.

        • I read on other forums that they took up to 2 weeks for a reply :(
The offer from the company seems good, but now in comparison seems expensive because we get nothing at all for paying while our yearly subscription is ticking away. Seems the rep was only online at the beginning to advertise the deal.

Don't know about this company but in the middle of a free 14 day trial with this company after trying several….
    https://www.anonymizer.com/index.html

Awesome….so easy….brilliant…and exciting to be able to watch my US shows….
    One click literally…and it works…
Even found coupons for when the trial is over…

  • I just have to say. I ordered this because I was happy with their £1 promo before and needed more bandwith. I got charged on my credit card on 11/6 and still nothing till today 16/6. Sent a support ticket but no reply whatsover.

So much for goodwill to ozbargainers…

  • I received this email this morning. Looks like they were advertising a product that is not available.

    Dear —-,

We've had some delays in getting our infrastructure up and ready in Dallas, but we're hoping to have everything ready by the end of today. Please wait for a further email with your login details etc., and only open a support ticket if absolutely necessary.

Thanks, and we look forward to getting you on our new dedicated IP setup!

On the otherhand, I ordered 2 accounts from them. One of the Dalls dedicated another standard VPN account. Haven't received activation email for either of them. So I think this email may just be an excuse for not being able to fulfill the orders in time.

  • Has anyone here still not received their dedicated IP? I've given up waiting and have opened a paypal dispute for a refund…

    • I haven't received the service. I'll be opening a dispute in Paypal for a refund too.

  • VPN service is not working for me as well, and I am not getting any reply from support.

  • I've given up too, just placed a dispute on PayPal.

  • I paid with credit card via PayPal, but not a PayPal account. Can I get a refund or raise a dispute if I paid via this method?
