This isn't a bargain. The iPad Mini is already last generation stock. The 2013 Nexus 7 for $222 or something (just posted a while ago here from Amazon) is a much better deal. Less money for a superior tablet.
And no, this is not an Android vs. Apple debate, this is a previous generation model which pales in comparison to the 2013 Nexus 7 in terms of processing power, screen resolution…etc.
I hear iOS apps run pretty bad on that nexus 7 though….
In this day and age, everything (almost) that is available on iOS is available on Android. If that argument was made a couple of years ago, then maybe it'd hold some water. But not now.
If you want an Apple product, then by all means go and snap it up at this price. I didn't negative vote this deal because I know there are people who are after specifically an Apple tablet. However, at this price point, if you are an undecided buyer, I would say that the Nexus 7 2013 is a better buy.

Totally agree with you, why people continue to buy apple is just beyond believe. Everybody knows orange are far for superior fruits, Apple are last season fruit, orange has higher Vit C contents which is perfect for the winter months. Orange has less cabs, less sugar and much brighter color. Its cheaper and contain 32mls of juice instead of 16mls in apple. Its a larger fruit but also has thicker peels so i guess it's even there.
i don't know why this is being downvoted. It's got good information, and its backed up with links. If you still want an apple product, like he says, go ahead and get one. On the other hand, what's wrong with getting some counter views for what else you can get for your money? I, for one, completely appreciate contrary views so long as they make sense; at the end of the day, I'm looking for the best value for my money, and posts like this only help to determine that.

Why comment on buying a Nexus ? That's like someone posting a deal on a Audi A4 and your telling them to buy a. Hyundai … Android and IOS both have their places. I have both to enjoy the fruits from both sides. This site is about giving people deals on products they might want to buy …
I don't understand the hate guys. This always happens and I know that it will always continue to happen with the "loyalty" that many people show to either Apple or Android. Anyone who criticises Apple will always be an Android fanboy, anyone who criticises Android will always be an Apple fanboy.
I never made that post to say that Android > Apple. I made that post to say, if you are considering buying this at $298, then there is this other deal you should consider. It is for a similar product which does similar things and it is much cheaper.
I also stated that if you have a preference for Apple products, then, by all means go buy the iPad mini. However, not everyone out there likes Apple or Android. Most people don't care whether it's Apple or Android as long as it does what they need it to do.
What I said was offering those people an alternative deal which I personally think is a better deal than this one. But neg if you want. You just can't reason with some people.
