Dicksmith is having 15% off certain apple products today only as mentioned in a previous post via PowerB (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/149687)
dick smith websites says 849$ for 13.3 inch 2013 model which is cheapest I've seen it better than Myer's deal that's on atm (934).

    I bought 1 at marion SA and there was an apple rep there who helped out when I was asking. When I told him I would like the $849 macbook he looked at me like I was joking and he couldnt believe the price when the DS employee went and checked. Another employee overheard and wad also shocked and said he just bought 1 for a couple hundred bucks more. Knew it was a great price but this just set it off. Thanks op

        So lots of portable USB devices I assume. So unit is simply a gateway to storage rather then everything on one device. I suppose I am spoilt on my Dell with 1Tb of storage, but still I have lots of other info on external devices.

    Their site is so busted. http://www.dicksmith.com.au/apple-computers/apple-macbook-ai… shows as $934, but when you add it to your cart it becomes $1099. Couldn't choose click and collect, or delivery yesterday, and today the price is whacked. Wasted too much time already on these numbnuts….

          i got 2 x $250 gift cards for the 12% off trick from a couple weeks ago so i got $60 + TRS @ 849 is $77 + bal 349 with ING is $17.
          Summary 849 - 60 - 77 - 17 = $695 :)

    My order was cancelled and the reason given by DS was 'due to difficulties' and when I asked for more info 'due to security issues'.

    Getting through on the call centre in a reasonable time is impossible so I have sent a web enquiry asking for someone to call me back.

      30 minutes on hold, to be told they have no idea why it was cancelled and if I want the products to order it again at full prices and if it goes through call up the call centre again and beg for a refund of the difference.

      He also said don't bother going instore as stores and DS online are different. Useless.

    Has anyone that ordered one of these been able to check their Startrack tracking number.

    My order says completed, and I have a tracking number, but when I enter it into www.startrack.com.au it says "There were no consignments found that match the criteria"

    I received the shipment information email on the 21st, so it should be in their system by now. I have had 2 bad experiences with DSE online before so I am a little panicked.

      yeah same here, been sorta looking for a computer for a while now but never really committed to anything. always had windows but took this deal as a sign to give apple a go and I'm loving it so far.
