        • @Frantic:

I asked kogan about this problem via ebay message and they replied:

          Thank you for contacting Kogan.

As you have paid $850.00 GST is not applicable.

We guarantee that you will not be required to pay any additional duties or fees after your original purchase.

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you require further assistance.

So even they guarantee that, I am still not sure. Let's just wait and see.

          you were not sure
          you asked
          you don't believe
          you wait and see

        • @laoya112:

eh? didn't you say you bought the 128 & 256? Are they sending them as seperate orders? That would prolly be ok then. I got the 256 and ipad mini, so -after- discount its just shy of $1k. Oh well.. like you say, wait and see

        • @Frantic:

I think they will do in separate orders and there will be two invoices. I just chatted online and both orders were still being processed at their warehouse. Yep, wait and see.

      • I bought mine when there were around 20-30 unit sold.

P/S: A mate of mine ordered his Nexus 5 a day or 2 earlier and he received it yesterday without DHL tracking notification

        • got my mba when there were 27 left hmm..

        • Got mine about half way through the sale (~150 sold before I got mine)

        • @zxreth:

Also got my ipad mini 10 mins before midnight on the Sunday night, whether thats any significance

        • @Frantic:
Bought my Ipad Mini during the day sometime and checked with a rep and its still being processed for dispatch

        • Arrived! Whoop!

        • @grumpyhermit:

Good for you. Many of us are still waiting without any confirmation sms/emails.

        • @laoya112:

Thanks. Just so you know my mate received the tracking email after receiving his N5 :/ go figure

        • @grumpyhermit:
Haha… What about the condition of the macbook air? Brand new or used? I noticed some iPhones were poorly packed and etc.

        • It's at home atm and I'm at work.

Will post when I get my hands on it

        • @grumpyhermit:
          Waiting for ur good news.lol.

        • +1

so I just opened it. delivery box was slightly dent, but the MBA casing was not as they have corner paddings.

Looks brand new with the plastic sealing across the middle of the product, similar to what I've experienced with my iPad and Mac mini.

Edit: Came with two australian adapter

        • @grumpyhermit:
That seems fine.Enjoy your new toy!!

    • That's exciting. Hopefully mine will be close behind, although I only ordered an hour before they sold out…

      • Just got my tracking info too. Should be here in a few days then!

  • Anyone ordering an iPhone 5C get their orders or delivery notifications yet ?

    • Nope, none for me.

  • i bought 5s and got notified that it has left warehouse

  • how is everyone receiving notifications of tracking? through ebay or email?

    • Doesn't it happen on both?

      • via text

        • How did kogan get your mobile number? I assume it was in your paypal account?

        • I believe so

  • Phone arrived today. Quick turnaround and very impressed with delivery time.

    AAA+++

  • 5s arrived just now, unactivated and with a power adaptor.
iPad mini still on the way.

  • 5c arrived today as well.

  • Just an update to my earlier comment about the 5C,

Received notification from Kogan today about despatch.
Clicked the tracking number and it was shipped on Friday and is here at work (TAS) today. Haven't opened it up to check condition etc.

  • Just want to clarify about the USA region model A1533 GSM, the iPhone works great with my Telstra 3G/4G4G/LTE/HSPA+.
I have also tested with my optus and vodafone Network. All three operators work without any issues.
    cheers

Perhaps I was not clear enough regarding the USA model 5s.

Yes it works on OPTUS 4G - just not the newish OPTUS 4Gplus at 2.3gHz.

  • My payment for both ipad mini and mac air 11 inch just got refunded by Kogan. Does anybody know why they did this? No explanation at all!

    • +1

may end up getting them for free, but you have to ask yourself
      "Do I feel lucky?"

    • :S Such an odd situation

Just got my tracking info through for my Macbook Air 11" purchased within about 10-15 minutes of it being posted on OzBargain.

Currently says "A clearance other than standard Customs entry is required for this shipment." But was told it should be in Australia tomorrow

Also rang up to organize delivery (live in the middle of nowhere) and amazingly was talking to someone on the phone within about 30 seconds, pretty surprising

    • Just got my tracking notification for a 11" MBA. Ordered with about 100 left. Shipping via Toll to Perth.

  • +1

I just received my iphone 5c today. Its well packed. And just got email about tracking info for MBA 11".

    • Maybe this is a strange question, but do Kogan get your email via Paypal to send you your tracking info? I ordered an 11" MBA and haven't heard anything yet.

    • +1

Seems like they've only dispatched 11" MBA so far, no 13" as of yet. Correct me if i'm wrong.

      • Maybe the same for ipad mini.
Haven't seen any notification from Kogan regarding MBA 13 and ipad mini, yet.

It's A1529 A3Australia. It had a lot of Thai writing on the back so I'm assuming it's sourced from Thailand. It's the Asia/Pacific model.

Thanks, that is good. I was concerned that it may be a USA model.

Yes, the A1529 5c is for AU and Thailand, as well as many others.

All LTE details are here - https://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/

We have two of the 5c coming. I am still waiting on Kogan HK to see if they will exchange my USA model 5s.

  • just got the missus' 5s today, left warehouse on Friday night so that was quick.

  • Got my 5s yesterday. It's packed well. But it's got a Verizon SIM card installed. Has anyone seen the same?

    • Yep, scroll up ^
It sounds like they were destined for the US market, but abducted by Comrad Ruslan Kogan en route.
FWIW - Verizon sells these for US$649.99 + activation fee (and Apple sells them for US$649.00)

      • Cheers muncan. Still happy with the phone. Looks bradnew to me.

    • Mine was not in shrink-wrap, but it had Kogan sticker seals on the top and bottom. My phone was activated previously (i.e. before I received it).

I am in discussions with Kogan (waiting for the supervisor to email their next reply, which will be tomorrow now).

From what I have been told (and I have no idea if it is true or not, just what a CSO typed to me) Kogan purchased a bulk-buy on the iPhones (apparently not from Apple), which were previously part of some 'bundle deal' in the USA (again, take this with a grain of salt), and so the 'savings' could be passed onto Australian consumers.

They have assured me that seven of the eight other Apple items ordered will all be sealed (they advised the iPhone 5C may not be).

Anyway, I am wanting a refund on the iPhone 5S received as it was intended as a gift.

      • you may put in on Classfieds section to benefits other member who missed out

      • Sorry to hear that mate. I would've done the same had I received a used phone. Hope it goes well with your refund claim.

      • Anyway, I am wanting a refund on the iPhone 5S received as it was intended as a gift.

Please let us know if Kogan deducts the delivery costs, and the $35 fee, from your refund. Thanks.

      • +11

Not questioning your situation luztra, but:

        Pop quiz-

If someone gave me an $800~ phone as a gift, I would be very grateful-opened or not.

And I cannot think of a single person I know who would have an issue with receiving gift, with it being opened if it was "opened to activate", hell I'd accept, it was opened to make sure it worked.

Are most of us the same? +/- me!

    • Got my 5s yesterday. It's packed well. But it's got a Verizon SIM card installed. Has anyone seen the same?

Yes, as others posted, read back a few posts. Maybe better to start reading on/from page 7.

This will be USA model 5s. It supports some of our LTE but seemingly not the latest from OPTUS LD-LTE that they call 4Gplus.

  • +2

i received the macbook air today. much earlier than i expected.
    brandnew seal box. :)

    • nice, glad to hear that. Is this MBA 11 or 13? thanks

      • No worries. It's MBA 11.
Actually, there wasn't any tracking numbers or email from Koran about this order. Quite surprised.
Hope you will receive yours very soon.

        • did you get the 2013 or 2014 model?

        • I haven't check the model yet. Will let you know when I get home tonight.

        • I have received mine today also. 2013 model.

        • I received the 2014 model like a few others here

        • @danblar:

NVM, I also received the 2014 model.

        • it's 2014 model (1.4GHz instead of 1.3GHz)

  • Good news from Kogan and Toll, regarding my G2 order. It shipped from HK on 4 July and arrived into Erskineville on 7 July and transferred out of Bankstown DP05 at 7.40AM today.
Hopefully that means it will actually e delivered soon.

Has anyone had similar information - how much longer did it take after being a 'transfer out to DP05'?
I'm in the upper northshore of Sydney, so not sure if it will be on a delivery tomorrow.

At least the news (via a reply to my eBay questions) came today that it's almost 'home'!

Just arrived at work and to my surprise my MBA 11 inch is waiting for me. Didn't receive any email or sms with tracking number. The outer packaging looks pretty good. Will open the box after going home and let you guys know how the actual product is.

10 days is like super fast shipping by any Hong Kong based seller's standards. Well done Kogan!!!

    • Just got my tracking email from Kogan advising that my order has left the warehouse. The order delivered much faster than the email. Kudos to DHL :D

  • Those that received the US region model for the 5S A1533, what colour did you order?

    • Those that received the US region model for the 5S A1533, what colour did you order?

The Gold with white one for me.

      • Thanks, I ordered the white/silver but I'm not in aus to check it as it was just delivered to my office today. Will find out on Monday.

    • Gold

  • Received my 11inch MBA this morning. Got a card from DHL saying they tried to deliver it but no one was home, even though I was home the whole morning. Called them and the re-delivered it within 15 minutes. Got no tracking info via SMS or email from Kogan or ebay at all, but it was sealed and wrapped, no issues with it at all.

  • (For iPad Air) Just got my email with tracking number. However, it can't be tracked yet, which probably means that it just left the dispatch centre.

  • I got my tracking number for the iPhone 5s for couple of days but it doesn't show up anything.

  • +3

Just an update to my situation with the iPhone 5S.

I provided pictures to Kogan when I first advised them of the issue.

Kogan have offered a me a full refund, no re-stocking fee and have arranged a return paid for at their expense.

I have to say their customer service was excellent.

On a happier note, my sons 11" MBA arrived, sealed and brand new. I received the 2014, just released model (not the 2013 model that was listed).

    • Congrats! Pls let us know when you got your 13" MBA.

    • received the 2014 version too

    • Another update. My sister received her 11" MBA, it was the 2014 model.

Still waiting for one more 11" MBA, two 13" MBA's, two iPad Airs and one iPhone 5C.

Just received my iPad air. Their email delivery system beat the actual delivery by 2 hours. Great job Kogan :P

About the actual iPad, it is shrink-wrapped and all new :)

The more amusing thing is that the model they sent me is actually an Australian model with a correct part no. and the charger, but they included the wall adapter anyway.

This may mean that you will get the Australian Consumer guarantee of at least 24 months.

just received my iphone 5s gold with an additonla OZ wall adapter… The box has a seal on both sides which reads Kpogan inspected?
Is it safe to assume that its all ok & original? Any one else got their iphone & opened it?

I want to sell it in sealed condition hence not oepning,,,

Jusat noticed it doesnt have the pin to open the sim card slot? anyone else having this issue?

    • I haven't got my yet. But how do you know it doesn't include the Pin without opening the box?

      • I haven't got my yet. But how do you know it doesn't include the Pin without opening the box?

Yeah. I was just going to ask the same question.

Of course it is an original iPhone, and it will probably be Ok.

Someone has broken the seal and opened the box. Kogan HK staff must have put those seals there.

Many of us have received our phones (all brands) and opened their boxes.

You need to check the actual model number of your phone (see Part No. On the rear of the box and/or the Model on the rear of the phone). You can tell from this number the market in which the phone was first sold.

If you can't really tell if the phone has been used, or for how long, you can call Apple, give them the IMEI number and ask them about it.

  • ahh sorry guys… have just opened it carefully by removing the Kogan inspected stickers…

    • ahh sorry guys… have just opened it carefully by removing the Kogan inspected stickers…

So is it a USA model? Was there a SIM card in the Sim Tray? If your SIM pin is missing use a bent paper clip.

      • hey mate - not sure how do i check if its Australia model or USA… There is no sim card and yes, i will use another pin - not an issue..
i justed wanted to check if anybody else has a similar case…

You can check the model number on the rear of the phone (also on the back of the box). However, I guess if it came with the small 'cube' AC Charger with USA flat pins, you would know it was a USA market phone.

A1533 is USA Market GSM phone
A1530 is Oceania AU/NZ and HK and many other Asian countries GSM phone

        • My gold one is the same, haven't opened the box to check if the phone is new.

  • anyone actually received their ipad mini?

    • +2

Not yet, haven't got shipping details or anything. Asked a rep on their online chat yesterday and apparently they're being 'processed for dispatch'. Why is it that whatever I order is one of the last to be sent?

      • +1

agreed, plus today is the '10th day' so it should of been sent by now!!

  • +2

Got an email from Kogan saying that MBA 13" are "currently being processed for dispatch", I then chased it up with an online chat rep and they said I should receive tracking ID for it within the next 48 hours if not by the end of the week.

  • Where have you all been finding the tracking info? I've received an email about the order leaving the warehouse but I don't see any tracking numbers?

  • -1

Got my iPhone 5S, but for some crazy reason guys at Kogan assume I can use a white duck adapter (Mcbook one) with USB charging cable and US adapter.
Looks like one of the Mcbook buyer is gonna get iPhone charging adapter :)
Also, No pin came with the box and had "Kogan inspected" stickers.

Checked on https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do for warranty info- looks like it came into the system on 26th June (3 days prior to the deal) and 90 technical support valid till 25th September, Report and service coverage till June 26th 2015

They opened and activated the phone in order to unlock? Hopefully. Otherwise someone returned it after activating. In any case they forgot to replace the SIM Pin.

May I suggest that you call Apple Australia on 1300-321-456 and after giving your IMEI number, ask when it was first activated? This is more accurate information
