Looks like someone missed out on the 11" macbook air.

      • +3

No.. I just dont buy stuff I dont need.

        • +7

Then why are you on Ozbargain…pretty sure you're in breach of membership conditions.

        • +3

This guy is is right, the best way to save money is to not spend it at all. Don't buy stuff you don't need.

Think back, that money you spent you spent on a discounted item that you don't need could have been saved or invested.

        • +2

Ugh, who let Paul Clitheroe and David Koch join Ozbargain??

        • +7

This isn't OzInvestment or OzSavings, it's OzBargain.

        • -2

LOL stop trying to justify your macbook purchase as an absolute ozbargain duty just because it was discounted, all pana is saying is if you don't need it don't buy it, simple as that.

  • So the extra 20% discount ends at midnight tonight?

    • correct

      • This is quite a conundrum. I was holding out for the new iphone but it's going to be double the price…

        • I'm holding out for the iPhone 6. That's why I just bought the iPhone 5S… ⸮

  • +1

Now it says code invalid. (For this listing only I presume)

Ebay / kogan shit… been trying to buy this phone for 20 minutes

Edit: ebay has removed the lg g2 16gb listing

  • Anyone confirm? Was gonna fire on the 13"

  • <disregard>

Got a mid 2011 13" Macbook Air but looks like the new ones still aren't retina? No point upgrading.

  • +2

Argh, caved and bought an iphone 5s.
Thanks OP … or should that be, curse you OP!! :-)

Hope there are no dramas with delivery or support. Fingers crossed.

I was going to get MBA at JB Hifi today, but BTO is not included in the sale. I read a lot of reviews and most people said that 4GB of ram on MBA is not enough to do multiple tasks. I tried in store and it was true as they said. Wish next Sunday, eBay would come great deal for MBA BTO.

  • Thanks OP! got a MBA 11"

  • +1

I couldn't believe that some people buying MBA 11" 256 for the same price with MBA 13" 256

  • Dang. Most of the MBA are sold out.

Chickened out of buying the iPad Air in the end. Hoping for a 32GB deal in the future. 16gb may be too little for me

  • Clearin' out the old stock are ya eBay mate?

  • +1

oh man, just bought an iPad air 16gb, couldn't resist for $400. thanks op… i think :)

    • Was it $400? I thought $500 since 20% not applicable or did the coupon code work? :o

      • I confirmed that $400 after applied code %20. It is now too late for %20 OFF as it is expired at 11.59PM yesterday.

      • Yes as above confirming the $400 worked - did it just before midnightish :)

  • Ahhhhh FML for not checking OzBargain more often ^_^

  • 5 minutes to go.

  • Looks like there's another deal banner for next Sunday…Spent over 1k on ebay these last 2wks - I'm definitely not checking ozbargain come Sunday :/

    • wanna bet?

    • +2

First week 15% off, second week 20%, next week 25%???

      • +1

yep, 25% on harvey norman </sarcarms>

      • Cool i'll be back on October 19 when they have the 100% sale :)

        • You may still be late coz ozbargainers may have bought everything before it gets to 100% sale. ;)

      • When will the madness end? WHEN?!

  • Oh no!!!I just need 1 more second to click confirm on paypal page but I missed it, the code expired…what do I do now ? I have committed to buy, but I don't want to pay $687! Any chance to have another discount code available for 5S? Thanks.

    • Don't pay and message the store requesting to cancel your order. They should honour it.

      • Thanks very much for your advice G5. I will do that now.

  • +3

    1 X iPhone 5s
    2 x iPad Air
    2 x iPhone 5c

    Thanks.

    • +1

      good job!

  • I ordered a 5c last night. What are peoples' thoughts on the chance Ebay will do an even more crazy Super Sunday discount deal over the coming weeks? Seems to be a bit of a promotional program by ebay.

    • This one was for end of financial year. You never know, but I don't think there will be a crazier sale in the next few weeks.

      • I hope they will do crazy deals for sellers. I sold lots of stuffs on ebay but now their fees (including paypal fees) just push me to use other sites.

        • Agree, their fees are just ridiculous now. Not happy with the fee on shipping as well as sometimes I send stuff overseas and the shipping cost can be over $60. So now I have to bump up my international shipping cost to cover their fees. They did have a promo where if you sell an item over $500, they send you a coupon where you get $30 off when you purchase something over $60. I got them for my May sales, but so far haven't received it for June. So don't know whether the promo is over.

When does Kogan take the money from your account? Nothing has come out of the account yet.

    • I was just coming to check that. I have the confirmation from Ebay and Paypal, but they haven't taken anything out of my account.

      • +1

It takes about 2-3 days to process that deduction.

        • Kogan deducted my money straight away when I purchased an iPad mini.

        • Thanks cminez. Yep, the money came out yesterday :)

  • Hi guys
    Was the price $875 for both 13" MACBOOK AIR (128gb & 256gb)?

    • both are gone.

      • Hi fchis. I know both are gone but I was wondering if they were both same price? As I was reading and found that some ppl were saying they both 13inch 256gb for $700

        • $700 after coupon for 13" 128GB
          $850 after coupon for 256GB

  • Hi all, Bought the Nexus 5 (first time buying from kogan), how long should I expect to be waiting for delivery? On ebay it says approx 22nd July… which seems to be too long!
    Thanks

    • +1

It's not a standard purchase, it's a group buy deal. So shipping is longer than when buying straight from Kogan.

      • +1

i think they are overstating their delivery times to be safe.. in particular for the mac stuff. surely if they ordered the stuff today at the latest, apple or whoever would supply in no more than 2 weeks and given the high value items, they would get shipped using a decent speed/quality/tracking method, so add 1 week for handling. thats 21 days?

        • +1

Yep, I checked with Kogan about whether these are the longest case scenario and the rep agreed that they should be delivered before then, but they used these times 'in case'.

That being said, when I ordered something from the Kogan site a few weeks ago (not a Group Deal, but they were having a storewide sale from memory), it actually arrived the day that the item showed up on the tracking website (maybe 2-3 days from the day they sent me the tracking number?).

  • +1

The total items bought from Kogan (by various family members):

    3 x 11" MBA
    2 x 13" MBA
    1 x iPhone 5C
    1 x iPhone 5S
    2 x iPad Air

Out of the above, I purchased an 11" MBA for my son (we were planning on getting him one for his birthday in September).

Apart from that, no other items purchased by myself.

  • Thanks OP!
I was abit bummed when I missed out on the 20% off at DSE the other weekend.
Bought the 13" MacBook Air for $700. Very happy with the price. This is also my first ever Mac :D.

  • My ipad air 16gb purchase didn't get the 20% code applied, definitely entered it and was purchased on 30/6/2014.

Getting charged $500 on my invoice.

    How can i fix this???

    • +1

Double check your Paypal transaction as it should show $500 as being paid, but when you look at the details on how it's funded, it will show $400 from your Paypal and $100 as a discount.

  • Thanks OP. Bought a MBA 11" last night. I have been waiting for the Surface Pro3 release. But $500 is killer price for Macbook Air. So bought my first Mac. Hope I like it, fingers crossed :)

    • Can always load windows on it anyway.

      • +1

        Or Linux :)

  • +3

Wow.. Guys.. you should wary for these purchases. Remember that for a package worth more than $1,000, you might be required to pay tax and duty fee.

    • Which you may be able to claim back throguh TRS. Haha - take that, taxman!

    • +2

      hmmm… I forgot about this

      the MBA 13" 256GB
      price was $1050
      but we paid $850

Is the package value based on what we pay or the actual price?

      • +1

I think the seller will declare it at the price it sold it for, i.e. $1,050. However, I guess you might be able to show Customs the amount you paid should they want to charge you duty and gst.

        • hmm.. got the $1050 ($850) MBA and the Ipad Mini, will these be sent together?

Kogan is AU based isn't it? Why does it matter where -they- source it from?

        • Kogan is AU based isn't it? Why does it matter where -they- source it from?

KOGAN HK Pty Limited was the seller and the supplier.

"This Product is offered and supplied by Kogan HK Limited pursuant to the Terms and Conditions."

        • @A3Australia:

I asked Kogan the same question if we get charged extra, they replied:

          Hi,

          Thank you for contacting Kogan.

We can confirm that you will not be charged any additional fees or charges for this purchase.

The GST component was included in the original price and you are not required to make any further payment

        • The GST component was included in the original price and you are not required to make any further payment

That is a lie. If GST was being collected/paid, a Tax Invoice would be supplied. Indeed it must be supplied.

        • Lie or not, it's in writing.

        • -1

Lie or not, it's in writing.

How do you know? Did you receive the same reply regarding a purchase from Kogan HK pty Limited?

You do not appear to be thinking about what you write, nor about the situation.

Items purchased from a Hong Kong business/company, that are dispatched from Hong Kong, could not have Australian GST collected nor remitted before dispatch. The buyers are the importers and are responsible for any GST that may be applied to the importation. The Australian Government has decided not to collect GST on importations valued at under $1,000.

        • Hi laga234

          You have said that:-

          Kogan replied
          Hi,
          Thank you for contacting Kogan.
We can confirm that you will not be charged any additional fees or charges for this purchase.
The GST component was included in the original price and you are not required to make any further payment

This is a false statement if your purchase(s) were made from Kogan HK Pty Limited.

Kogan HK Pty Limited does not collect nor remit Australia's GST to the Australian Tax Department. Nor does this Hong Kong company pay any other Australian taxes such as any company taxes.

Please check the listing(s) from where you made your purchas(es). If there is a statement like this:-

"This Product is offered and supplied by Kogan HK Limited pursuant to the Terms and Conditions."

It means that you purchased from a Hong Kong supplier - Kogan HK Pty Limited. In this case you are the importer, and you are responsible for any GST that may be applied to the importation. Fortunately the Australian Government has decided that they will not collect GST on importations that are valued under AU$1,000.

Did you mean to type "thanks for replying to MightyAtom"?
It was MightyAtom who asked the question.

In the shipping advice message from Kogan HK they give a tracking number, and also state that it should take 3-5 days for delivery.
