          Thanks

          You are welcome.

After all, if no one ever points out your errors you will never learn what they were and how to improve.

      • Ship me one kogan

        • Cameron, I saw you have already got your phone today.

          Good on you.

My order on ebay page still just shows "paid" status. Wonder what happened….

  • Out of interest, has anyone who ordered an iPad Air had theirs shipped yet? I figure it'll be next week, but was hoping for an early surprise! Thanks

    • +1

LOL, I just got an email notification of shipping from Kogan. Looks like it's coming via DHL! Sweet :-)

  • Has anyone received an e-mail from Kogan about their LG G2 order during this deal?
In my usual, occasional Kogan buying experience I've received a confirmation of the order.
There has been nothing from Kogan yet about the LG G2 order, ONLY the PayPal confirmation.

I sent an e-mail through the eBay contact system yesterday. It's been a week and I'm worried the order is still sitting around and NOT fulfilled at all.

Tanks for any feedback - maybe the orders are being fulfilled in batches.

    • +2

I've not heard anything about my iPad mini yet either but I'm not worrying, if I still haven't heard in a week or so then I'll give them a call, it does say that the seller may take up to 10 days to ship on the eBay information page when viewing in my ebay

      • +1

Same. iPad mini order. ETA late July so I would say next week.

    • I don't think we need to worry. My friend got his phone already, but mine has been shipped yet. I had a chat with Kogan rep yesterday about my order, he checked for me and said it is still processing.

You can call them up or have a short chat with Kogan rep with item ID and transaction ID to check your order.

      Cheers

  • My iPhone arrived today! I'm blown away—a week after ordering and here it is! (I'm not even prepared, I was gonna get a SIM card this week sometime and ship a phone case from China) :D

    • Just got my iphone 5s today. Caught me off guard. I didn't even get a shipping notification. Not complaining though.

      • what about status on the ebay page. does it show "shipped"??

My iphone 5S is till on "paid" status….

Also did you get any tracking details?

        Cheers!

        • Even my eBay says paid status and not shipped yet, but my iPhone 5s is on the way to my address, expecting in couple of hour.

        • Even on the ebay page it wasn't marked as shipped. So maybe you might get yours today.

  • Received tracking information on Saturday night, just tracked it today and my iPhone 5s in on the way to my address with courier man @ Adelaide

  • I just got iPad Air 10 minutes ago. It has shipped direct from Hong Kong on July 3 via
    TOLL express.

  • Anyone that's ordered a macbook received theirs yet?

    • Only a eBay confirmation so far. Hoping it will ship this week or the next.

      • Just received a tracking code via sms. It has arrived in Australia from HK, expecting delivery by tomorrow

        Edit: By DHL

  • I received the iPhone 5S today and it was already opened. The temporary protectors looked as if they were put back on after use and had scratches all over them. I have contacted their ebay store but not sure if they will accept this as a reason for exchange :(

    • "For all goods other than Kogan brand products, if for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you can contact us within 14 days of taking delivery, and organise to return the product and receive either a store credit or refund of the purchase price of your product (excluding initial delivery charges and a re-stocking fee). The re-stocking fee for these products will be 15% of the original purchase price, or $35 (whichever is lower)."

Sounds like you have 14 days to return it regardless of damage so you should be okay.

      • -1

        How is that "OK"?

The buyer would be 'out' the phone, plus the delivery cost(s) from Hong Kong to Australia, and $35.

        • -1

Losing $35 is still better than having to lose the whole cost of the iphone

        • Losing $35 is still better than having to lose the whole cost of the iphone

I do not see how/where dasher22 would lose the whole cost of the phone.

In the comment by dasher22 they state that they would like an "exchange" for the phone which "was already opened." and where "The temporary protectors looked as if they were put back on after use and had scratches all over them".

Not an unreasonable request in my opinion.

However, under the Kogan terms for Apple items

          http://www.kogan.com/au/returns-policy/#rp-terms

it seems that the buyer can only receive a refund of the price paid minus the delivery costs and the re-stocking fee.

          Not a very satisfactory outcome.

    • +3

I just received an iPhone 5S. I have contacted Kogan via eBay to request them to arrange a return/refund as the item is not 'brand new' as stated on the listing.

I have also requested that all other orders placed through them on the sale day be cancelled.

Some people may be happy with receiving an item which has previously been opened, not me - I would rather pay the extra and the item be sealed.

This will cost you the return carrier/postage fees and a $35 re-stocking fee - see http://www.kogan.com/au/returns-policy/#rp-terms

Well mine appeared to be sealed. However, the protective film on both sides of the phone itself looked like it had been peeled back a little bit and reapplied.

There was a Verizon SIM in the phone. It has the USA style AC Charger. It is the USA GSM Model A1533. Not the Hong Kong Model A1530 (which is the same model as Australia gets). So it does not support LD-LTE 2300 4G+ which my carrier OPTUS offers.

        • The listing did not state support for LTE 2300 4G:
          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/351105005014?var=620321037046&ssP…

        • The listing did not state support for LTE 2300 4G:

Quite correct, the listing did not. I did not claim that it did.

It was this part that made me believe that it would be a Hong Kong market phone "This Product is offered and supplied by Kogan HK Limited pursuant to the Terms and Conditions."

In any case, I have asked if Kogan would please swap it for a HK model, and I will pay for the return and re-delivery. They are considering my request.

        • @A3Australia: thanks for your comments guys. Instead of going through all the hassle of dealing with Kogan amd their horrible refund policy, I sold the phone. At least, I was able to recover the cost.

        • @dasher22: Lol you already sold it? Didn't everyone only just received their phones today?

        • @dasher22:

I sold the phone. At least, I was able to recover the cost.

          So, you received AU$550 ?

        • @botftw: Yep

        • @A3Australia: Yep plus a small handling fee :)

        • [@A3Australia] Please keep OzB posted on Kogan's response to requesting a swap to the A1530?

  • Anyone's MacBook Air shipped?

    • Nope, still waiting for shipping / tracking details

    • Nope, I've had no update yet.

    • My Macbook 13 and Ipad Mini orders still wait for Kogan email

      • same

  • +1

My iPad air is still waiting for shipping/tracking details too :(

    • Same here.

  • Did anyone also order a nexus 5? Has anyone got their shipping confirmation?

    • +1

I got my nexus 5 today, never received any sort of email confirmation at any stage and it was never marked as posted on ebay

      • +1

May I ask if your Nexus 5 was in a factory sealed box?

        • I'm also wondering about this, whether the phone was new? (It seems that they have been sending used iphones to people… )

        • +2

          http://i.imgur.com/4dSyrUk.jpg

It came in the original box with those two sticker tabs unbroken and everything seemed to be new, not really sure what factory sealed entails however.

        • It seems that they have been sending used iphones to people…

And USA market iPhones that do not support all our LTE 'bands'.

        • So my iPhone which I'll be using on the 3G Amaysim network (aka OzBargain network) will be compatible with 4G networks when I travel to the USA? Sweet!!

        • Are you asking for a refund or a replacement?

        • @unity1: you can refer to mskeggs' comment above.

        • @fchis: Thanks

        • @muncan:

          Check your model here:-

        • @unity1:

Are you asking for a refund or a replacement?

dasher22 is requesting a replacement/exchange for a new, unused phone.

luztra is requesting a refund, and that his other orders be cancelled.

I am requesting an exchange for the model sold in Hong Kong.

        • @A3Australia: So only muncan is happy with his purchase so far. I suppose I will get one of the phones you guys return.

        • @unity1:

Hey guys I got my nexus 5 delivered yesterday afternoon, no confirmation email/tracking whatsoever.
Everything seems new/unused to me, sealed in original box.
          Quite happy with my purchase!

        • @dazaman: looks like an issue mainly with iPhones at the moment. Has anyone received an iphone 5C yet?

  • Anyone heard anything about their Ipad Mini's yet? Curious as they sold all 2000 or so posted how long they'll take to ship.

    • +2

Was informed it may take up to 10 business days to post the goods then 3-5 for it to be delivered

  • So are people receiving tracking numbers for Kogan or are these devices just turning up unannounced?

    • +2

      My tracking is working well

      • Do they send the tracking via ebay or email? Not looking forward to receiving used/open iphones.

        • +2

The Kogan tracking link was in the 'Your Kogan order has left our warehouse!' email. Which in turn has a link to the Toll tracking website (shows same information).

        • @muncan: Thanks muncan. No such email received yet.

        • @muncan: Well I guess I won't be getting mine anytime soon.. haven't even got an email announcing any shipment details.

          I'm a sad man.

        • <hugz guyz/>

So I've got my hot little iPhone in my cold little hand now. The box is sealed (possibly resealed) with an accompanying Kogan AU adapter (the adapter looks used, or my Chinese factory worker didn't care much when applying the specification sticker). There's a tiny dent in the edge of the box, possibly from Kogan staff reenacting the world cup … I'm speculating! Before I rip open the iPhone packaging - can anyone clarify which iPhone I have? The (1P) part number is ME343LL/A (other reference is Model A1533).

        • Sweet! - thanks unity1.

        • @muncan:

ME343LL/A (other reference is Model A1533).

As other said - it is the USA GSM model, was there a Verizon SIM in the SIM Tray?

Here is a link to full details of the 'bands' supported. (For the A1533 USA Model and the HK/AU/NZ Model A1530).

          https://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/

        • @muncan:
So your iPhone box was shrink wrapped in plastic wrap and did not have the Kogan seal on the top and bottom?

The 5S I received was not shrink wrapped in plastic (how they usually come when new), and had a Kogan seal (sticker) on the top and bottom.

It also has the dents in the box that you speak of.

          It is the USA model.

        • No Kogan seals on mine, but it was wrapped in plastic. Came with a free Verizon SIM card in the phone too, I'm stoked! (I'm USA bound) Wonder if you get a Verizon SIM card if you buy new from Kogan's website?
Edit: yep, sound like you do via Kogan direct
Edit2: I've got a feeling that my box was re-sealed, as the plastic screen wraps had some dust/bubbles under them and the lightning cable didn't unravel perfectly. No scratches that I can see. That said, I'm not fussed and happy to stick with mine.

        • @luztra:

So your iPhone box was shrink wrapped in plastic wrap and did not have the Kogan seal on the top and bottom?

Mine was shrink wrapped. No Kogan seals.

          Probably opened to unlock?

Call Apple and ask when it was first activated. 1300-321-456

      • wait youve already gotten yours? while im here waiting for myen to be delivered :(

        • <hugz> - don't worry, I'm now waiting on a SIM card :-P

  • Can I ask one question to those who received your packages, please?

What is the value on that shipment label? Is it the original price or the price you actually paid after applying the discount code?

    • Mine is the pre-voucher price of $687.00 (for $549.60 iPhone 5s)
ie. what Kogan received, not what I paid

    • Can I ask one question to those who received your packages, please?
What is the value on that shipment label? Is it the original price or the price you actually paid after applying the discount code?

No value on shipment/'airway bill' label. On the Invoice it is AUD$687 the original price.

      • Thank you muncan and A3Australia.

I bought a MBA and the original price was $1050 but I only paid $850 after applying the code. I have no idea whether the custom will charge me the GST in that case.

        • bought a MBA and the original price was $1050 but I only paid $850 after applying the code. I have no idea whether the custom will charge me the GST in that case.

Only $50 over the threshold. The carrier should let it go through.

        • @A3Australia:
          Mmmmm…I hope so.

  • My iPad Air arrived today. All sealed and new. No complaints from me.

    • Shrink wrap sealed?
With or without Kogan seal stickers?

  • Did everyone get a shipping notification or delivery?

    • Yes & no

      • Hmm.. I wonder if I'm getting either the macbook or ipad mini.. I was burning the candle on both.

  • woot, ipad air arrived this morning via DHL

  • so Kogan are sourcing iphone 5s from US, activating and swapping power plug?
whats the cost/effort ratio like this to do yourself?

  • My LG G2 arrived today, packaging looked a bit rushed but it did the job

    • What do you mean rushed? Poorly packed?

      • Yes poorly packed, but plenty of bubble wrap to fully protect the item. Invoice was roughed up and torn a little as well.

  • Just received a text notification for my mac air 11' with tracking number by DHL

    expecting delivery by tomorrow

    • Did you buy yours early in the sale? Haven't got mine yet…

      • MBA 11 sold out in just over 1 hour so it must be purchased during the promotion period. I ordered MBA 13 and did not receive any sms/emails either.

        • which mba did u get?

        • @Frantic:
I bought both models(128GB &256GB) of MBA 13 inch. Neither of them are marked posted at eBay. Also there is no sms coming through currently.

        • what made you buy both? I'm kind of wish I chose the 256GB one over the 128GB one, oh well.

        • @laoya112:

what are you gonna do about possible customs charges?

        • @chid:

          i got 256gb hehe. Yay I'm a trendy now!!

I think my last 'mac' was a Macintosh II, guess that makes me an old trendy

        • @chid:

One for me and the other one for a friend:)

        • @Frantic:

I dunno. What I think is to explain the promotion @eBay and the actual amount of money I paid if I am gonna be charged by customs.

A3Australia supposed that its gonna be ok.
