The Cannon Hill store offered me the choice between Red or Blue on the phone, and I double checked that Red was included, so I suspect that some people got the red console for $99, unless they changed their mind in store?
I chose Blue, due to already owning the Red console.

Just so it doesn't get buried into my previous comment:
I got it price matched at Target, I saved the picture from this post on my mobile, went there and said Kmart was selling for $99. At the first the guy said it was hard to price match because it was a big discount, I show them the picture and they tried to sell for $99 at the counter and the system didn't accept. The guy had to call another person that came in, typed a different code in the system and they price matched it for $99!!!
Just save the picture and go to your store, show the picture and try to price match, don't say anything about being out of stock in Kmart or about being in a store in SA.
Post the bloody receipt! It will help us all out tremendously.

I called the same store, Kmart Weribee, and the manager insist that they cant sell the red one for $99 even if i have this receipt (i believe yhis is for the red one). They said Nintendo told them red is not included. Any suggestions on what to do?

Went to my local BigW, Target & JB in one trip. All of them either said price was too low or it needed to be in the online catalogue to pricematch.
Anyway, it was worth a shot.
Went to my local kmart, they had no stock. Tried to price match at target, no luck. Travelled 30kms to the next target and they price matched. So happy thanks for this post! :)

Man, I was there yesterday but they didn't have any on display, where abouts where they or did you just ask?
I called them at about 7pm. Girl took about 5 mins then came back on the phone and said we have "them". I asked which colours and she said "We only have the black and silver ones"
Based on her statements it lead me to beleive they had more than one.
When I got there I found nothing on display. Took the guy about 15min to find the one they put on hold for me.
Give them a call.
Also I can confirm as at 5:30pm last night that Mt Ommaney had 1 but said the price was $249. Could always try talk them down to $99

Hey op thanks for the post I went into BigW with your photo yesterday and got a price match. They rang Munno Para and found out they were out but did it anyway.
Very happy with BigW as well. Very friendly and they didn't have to do it.
