MOD — we have been contacted by someone representing Lion Co stating that

The offer has now closed with over 5,000 valid claims for gifts being received. The vouchers you continue to promote do not comply with the terms and conditions of the offer which required the submission of an online claim form and are thus not able to be redeemed.

Therefore,

  • Offer marked as Out of Stock
  • URL reverted to the online form
  • If you did not use the form to claim, it would be violating the terms & conditions and don't expect it to be honoured.

Good deal for those that are interested in giving it a go but didn't want to spend over $30 for one.

Form isn't working any more so the link has been updated to take you directly to the voucher, print and enjoy.

      Someone has done the rounds in Cleveland, apparently claiming multiples from each store (2 x liquorland and 2 x 1st choice in Cleveland), this may be their way of dealing with that?
      I managed to get one from Liquorland near Woolworths after being interrogated by the cashier as to how I obtained the voucher. She said they've been taking photos of repeat offenders and circulating around stores, eep.

        Staff: "No worri… haaaaaaang on a dang minute. It's you again! Boss! Boss!! Get the camera! We got another one!"

        Within hours his picture is now pinned to each Woolies cash register across the state at a rate that would make airport passport checks look pitiful. Checkout staff are confused whether to refuse service or call police on sight of him.

    Im on holidays at Forster, NSW and claimed the voucher yesterday. Went in today to Liquorland (at Forster) and claimed using my phone. Girl at the counter i think was the manager, scanned it straight away and told me it was meant to be a printout, but that she will do it for me just this time lol (how many more is she expecting me to claim?).
    There were about 5 left above one of the fridges at the back.

    Scored the last dispenser this arvo at my local. Grabbed a 150 Lashes for only $22(normally $28). Had them scan the bottle first just to be sure. Almost as good as having Lionel over. Thanks OP

    Visited Fairfield liquor land. Tried to pick up tap king dispenser, all out!!!
    Shop keeper not impressed at people coming in only to collect dispenser.
    Even said some clown asked if he could use it with dispensing water.

    Picked one up from Pakenham LiquorLand around 7pm tonight. Still 3 or so left at the time. Got an Extra Dry keg for $14. Had them scan the Tap King then the keg as suggested in here earlier, can confirm it brought the price down to $14. Bargain!

    Picked one up from Moonee Ponds Liqourland. Manager had a whole bunch behind the counter ready to go. Said it was the most Tap Kings he has ever sold.

    Also got a keg of Tooheys Extra Dry for $14.

      Yes, it's a combo deal, if you buy the dispenser and the beer at the same time there's a discount, however the dispenser needs to scan first and they must be scanned on the one docket, the free coupon for the dispenser is then scanned and knocks off the full price of the dispenser leaving you with a cheaper keg.
      However my Liquorland was wise to this and scanned the dispenser through separately so I had to pay full price for the keg, his argument was that I was getting the dispenser for nothing so the combo deal wasn't valid, which is probably fair play but good luck to those who got the cheaper keg :)

      Haven't been able to find even one, and I was one of the first who registered. Pretty poor form picking up multiple ones when it's clear people are missing out.

        He did say it was over 2 days. So if you were actually one of the first to register as you say, I imagine you would've gone down to the store on the Wednesday that the listing was posted? If not… Well!!!
        And especially with the amount of traffic on here talking about it too. I was surprised that I still got one after work Wednesday!!!

        Edit: Ps. He probably deserves them too after buying 5 kegs compared to others on here that have either A; Grabbed it for free and sold it, or B; Just grabbed the dispenser without any intention of buying the kegs to go along with it!!!

          I went down to the store near my work. Had none. Then went to a couple after work near my home. None. Not complaining, I didn't get there fast enough. But taking advantage of a freebie, when it's clearly meant to be 1 per person kind of goes against the spirit of the community.

          I know where you're coming from… But he hasn't really abused it as a freebie as others may have, as he's made $83 in extra purchases to offset any guilt that may come from acquiring such free gifts!!!
          I'd be curious to see how much others have actually spent in acquring 1… or more? I spent $33!

      I wanna know how long until Lion changes tack. Do they start to discount, recognising the absurdity of the prices currently charged, or do they pull the pin on an expensive campaign?

    Sad to see that Lion Co has contacted Ozbargain to get the voucher taken down. Hopefully many Ozbargainers enjoyed the deal, it is pretty damn awesome that this hit 824+'s and was just 66 click's shy of 30,000 (at the time of me posting this).

    Thanks to everyone that has helped out, hopefully they offer up some discounted beer soon so we can all put the freebie to good use.

    It'll be interesting to hear if anyone has a voucher and manages to secure a tapking dispenser with it from here out.

    Liquor Land (NSW) tapped out at the following locations: Burwood, Rhodes, Rozelle, Concord, Drummoyne and Putney.
    The salesman at Putney tried to tell me that I needed to buy a keg first and then the dispenser is free. He then had to call his manager to confirm. Then he said they were out of stock =/

    I just used mine at Liquorland Yokine/DogSwamp W.A.

    I went in yesterday, they said they were out of stock and had a shipment coming in lunch time today. Went there at 12:30pm today (Friday), gave them the voucher I printed of from the link you privided yesterday and it all went through. They have a few left over there and were really nice about it all.

    But no deals on the beer itself… Super dry for a double pack was $44. Dont know if that was a special or not?

      To minimise head I'd suggest trying the following -

      • the beer needs to be chilled to around 4 degrees, if you store it in the fridge without the dispenser then leave it for around half an hour to let the beer settle once you've attached the dispenser.

      • make sure you use a clean glass. Pour off 2/3's of a glass and put that glass in the fridge, it'll be almost pure head but it'll settle so don't throw that beautiful beer away.

      • hold a different glass at around 60 degrees, and have the tap as close as possible to the glass without holding it on the glass. As the beer passes 2/3's full slowly tilt the glass back.

      Things that cause too much head are either because the glass was dirty, the angle or distance wasn't right or because the 'keg' has been adgetated. The start and end of a keg will always be mostly head.

    NEW STOCK at 1st Choice Burwood Vic, corner Burwood Highway and Blackburn Road.

    They received 2 new boxes this morning (Saturday) i.e. 12 head units, so as @ 10.30 am they had 11 left, i.e. I got one for my Bother.

    So, if you tried this outlet before today and missed out then try them today. Don't bother with Liquorland in the same centre as they have none.

      Absolutely, up until 16/7, provided you can find stock as it does state 'subject to availability'. However I would expect the stores that have currently run out of stock to be restocked shortly.

      Can I suggest that if you have a legitimate voucher that you print it showing that it is an official communication, i.e to show it is legitimate, as I expect the outlets to get tougher on claimants in the future.

    Liquorland in Westfield Southland (Cheltenham, VIC) had loads of them today. As I was walking in, one guy was walking out with one. I bought a 2-pack of kegs which costs me an eye watering sum of fifty cough two cough dollars. I had to double-check if that was the correct price, but it is. Not sure if I would have gotten that deal on one keg with it or not, but hey it's only money (ban from ozbargain incoming?). I did, however, snag a FREE world cup soccer ball for spending over $30 :)

    Incidentally, Liquorland near Bentleigh station is totally out…

    Anyone down Frankston-Cranbourne way, Langwarrin Liquorland (Gateway SC) still had about 6 left this morning. There were probably only about the same amount left in kegs though. From memory 1 XXXX, 1 Superdry, 1 TED, 1 Boags and a couple of Chancer!!!

    Ps. It's funny to see that a couple of FB friends have posted that they've tapped their TapKing kegs this weekend… Obviously also Oz Bargainers!!! :)

        The email is the one you would have received if you signed up to the promo when the link was provided initially before it was taken down (and before Lion Co changed the link to "the competition is now closed").

        Note: The acceptable email is the full one which has the header banner which says 'Welcome New Kings' and has the code WX#### AND the voucher section with the barcode.

        They may or may not accept the short form which only has the voucher section.

        Earlier some outlets were accepting images on phones. I am unsure they will do this now as the requirement was to present the physical voucher as the cashier needed to write 'redeemed' across the voucher as per instruction #2. This obviously is not possible on a phone.
