My other quotes from NRMA and Budget came in the same around $350 but without a $100 Gift card.
insurance policies arent like for like comparisons though.

Yeah very good value. I saved $200 comparing to budget direct plus a bonus $120 worth of gift card.

Just to be sure you dont renew it next year. Cancel the existing one and get a new one online could save you about $100 (was told by their customer support LOL).
can you pay first month and cancel if you receive the card in the first 30 days or within the cooling off period or is it a contract basis ?

took 12 weeks for me. And i got it even though I'd canceled the insurance after 4 weeks
I checked out the list of exclusions on the portable items and the Woolworths contents insurance won't cover anything worth something to me! Like no tools of trade, no laptop, no surfboards…

It's not awesome value if you can get it cheaper elsewhere. I got insurance from Coles about $150 cheaper than Woolies for home and contents.
"Home contents" does not actually include the home itself JV… Do you mean "Home and Contents", or are you just referring to the (unspecified) possessions you happen to own? Or am I missing something? Of course if you're including the actual home, these are also highly variable; ranging in value from a few thousand to many millions. It's impossible to know what the amount you paid is based on.

I compared Contents insurance from Allianz and Woolworths. Allianz is $105 cheaper with the same inclusions and the same excess.
Wow,car insurance is $180 dearer than Budget Direct.
