I went with these guys because they do free shipping and have the matte screen.

      • Where did you see matte screen?

        • +1

1080P screen is matte. 1800P screen is gloss. I went with 1080P matte because I have no faith in Windows' high DPI scaling :)

    • Ah damn, should of bought from these guys. I have a feeling localblueone will take forever to ship their products again :\

Well that depends on what you purchased. If it's an in stock model it should be approximately the advertised build time. If it's a pre-order it can take a while longer and should be approximately the build time + the date of arrival of a pre-order.

        • My friend and I both bought from you last time and it came nearly a month after the ETA, if it happens this time I don't think I'll be purchasing from you guys anymore, just saying :(

        • Danteshop. Can you please PM me your order number so I can check the status and advise the ETA?

          Thanks.

  • hmm so purchased on 20/7/2014.. still waiting.. email to ask for update.. no reply. slowest merchants ever.

    • We have zero unreplied emails in our inbox. If you have a query about your order, you can use the contact form on the website, you can PM me here. You can call our office or send an email but at this stage I can't find anything that hasn't been replied to.

I've had a number of emails back and forth (clarifying a couple of order changes) and even a few phones calls.
The guys seem to be all over it. No complaints here.

Just to follow up on this one - I received the laptop early on this week and sadly the GPU was DOA. Phill over at logical has gone above and beyond the norm to rectify the error.
All other components on the lappy are great.
Windows (and a few other apps like Autocad, Photoshop, Chrome) seems to struggle with the auto-scaling. Some text at full res is just unreadable. Probably take a bit of settings-manipulation to get it bang-on.

        • To what extent is was your gpu not working? I got my laptop a few day ago and the dedicated GPU is not showing up in device manager, settings, cpu-z etc. I'm getting worried and tried pretty much everything not sure if it is a software or hardware issue.

        • Exactly the same issue with mine - I think (sadly) that there might be some inherent issue there.
I've got my new laptop now and the GPU shows up no worries and is working a treat.

        • Yeah I emailed the company and they told them what was going on. Went through some troubleshooting and they confirmed it was doa ;( Have to return it and get a replacement.

        • @mark96:

Sorry about that guys. Strangely enough the 2 units that we have had DOA with nVidia cards have been both of yours. Also we did test the graphics units prior to shipping them out which is also confusing as to how it could happen.

        • Hi Jakkel,
Thanks for your reply. I emailed Phil to arrange a time for Phil to come pickup my laptop but he has not replied yet. Would you be able to confirm a time via email for that a replacement can be sent asap.

          Thanks.

        • @hoondaboy: I am also having the same issue here. GPU is not showing up in device manager and no Nvidia drivers will install.

          Model is a W230SS.

        • @RichardWise:

Hi Richard, what O/S are you running?

Have you tried the nvidia driver that is in our repository?

          Edit: Under 'Latest nVidia Driver'.
