Check HSBC Platinum Card offer bro.. Isn't that a better deal?
    http://www.hsbc.com.au/1/2/personal/credit-cards/platinum

    • No, where are the QFF bonus points??

    • +1

its not a better deal, amex has killer bonus offers~ one past example of many was the free $60 credit at cost co~

there different products with different benefits~ u cant just neg it because its not the number 1 credit card on the market

    • Not a better offer. Just another offer. This is because you are making a profit out of both of them just the same and not mutually exclusive.

  • Does this card entitle the Amex offers we seen lately on ozbargain?

  • +1

Just a word of warning on the DJs Amex card
One 'david jones membership rewards' point is half the value of one 'membership rewards' point in the straight up American Express scheme.

Ie these 30,000 rewards points transfer to 15,000 points in other fflyer programs.
30,000 american express rewards points (not DJs) would transfer to 30,000 fflyer points in these programs.

    • It's actually one of the few ways to earn AA points (Via SPG) if you are that way inclined. The SPG transfer rate isn't gimped.

      • Yes - I signed up for this offer before realising the limitations - and now the points are in SPG waiting disbursement onwards or to spend within SPG group.

    • On their site the offer is for 30000 member rewards OR 22500 QFF. so I guess you should get the 22500 QFF points regardless of the conversion. And also 1 rewards point = 0.75 QFF points as per their T&C.

  • Signed up for this card a good year and a half ago - chose the QFF option and they actually credited me with double the points - so I ended up with 45000

  • I sign up to this card years ago, easy $200 cash back, just opt for the amex ascent program and close the account quickly. They didn't charge annual fee for me.
