    • Country Japan really is another world. I hitchhike & am treated so wonderfully. The gifts can be embarrassing, like $200 when I was picked up by tour guides in training who showed & paid for everything for 2 days. After weeks speaking no English in rural areas, I often struggle to find the words. Korea is great & food wonderful. Locals sometimes pay for my meals, when they see me order & enjoy what they eat ;-)

A major cultural difference I notice (from an Australian perspective) is Japanese people are far too polite & respectful, whereas the Koreans are far too forthright in telling you what they think. (like a stranger walking past, embarrassing me in front of a woman I was seeing, saying to her I was fat! No Korean I talked with saw anything wrong, rather that the stranger was concerned for my health.) It took a long time before a Japanese rice farmer friend referred to my weight, naked in the Onsen (spa). Difference is the interesting part of travel.

So you are probably correct - Korea is a bit easier as it's more like home. Maybe that's why I keep going back to Japan, to immerse in a very different culture to my own. Interesting, KT.

      Back to the deals…

      • Ahhh the Onsen. My girlfriend at the time was.a Ranga aka a fire crotch or ginger-minger . She just couldnt do the Onsen. Well she did it once…. said it felt like being on stage. Well a very odd stage where people are intently not staring at you except for the younger children who were pointing directly at her pubes and laughing.
Actually maybe that's not so different, now that I think about it….

        • I was about to say, I would have loved to see that ;-)
Come on, we all would have looked. But in cultures with almost all black hair, it would have been even more unusual.

But that's what the traditional wash cloth is meant to cover - your modesty.

Was dressing in a Sento (public bath house) when a Yakuza man took off his shirt in front of me. I couldn't help staring at his back - the Dragon tattoo was superb, years of painful dedication. I wanted to photograph it… wrong on so many levels.

        • Another thing not working? Or I am not supposed to see it :-(

But saw my envelope in your(?) hand - thanks for the reassurance.

        • We were filling in our time chatting between ourselves, while waiting for our confirmation emails ;-) Now it's arrived!

      • This thread really took of, In a new direction.

Bruce turn that frown upside down :)

  • Hi Rep,

    Following up my unreplied message.

The site collapsed but I got the PayPal confirmation email..
But I didn't see any order details on your website's "My Order" section.

    Transaction ID: 0867516296098942L .

Could you please check, Rep? Thanks!

  • Yeh! Received invoice/ confirmation email. Finally after nearly a week!

And OP posted a photo of an envelope addressed to me - so the Deal is on its way.

    • +1

      No change for me :)

      "Awaiting for paypal payment" etc.

Rep, why don't you process ALL the orders ?

      • Too busy addressing my envelope by hand & taking photos ;-)

        • Since there is no tracking I though you would be please to know you got some special attention with the Photo….

        • @28mobile:
I was used to "special attention" from political police (I was a bit challenging) - I trust it won't be like that ;-)

        • No tracking = no protection.

        • Tracking on an 88c order ;-)
How many sub-$1 orders include tracking?

@whodidthat I thought you don't even have an order to worry about losing. No tracking for you!

        • @brucefromaustralia:

I'm not worried but the OP was worried about protection.

      • -1

Because they're worried about being scammed.

        • So why do they keep my money ?

      • We are processing "All" orders as fast as we possible can.

        BR

        Patrik

        • How many have you posted?

  • Hi i sent u an email last week patrik. I still havent got a confirmation email with my order #. Has everyone got a confirmation email saying its sent or none either ?

    • -2

Sorry if you one of the last once.

  • +2

no email here since the paypal payment email from the 3/8.

    • -1

Our system crashed, we have to check orders manually through paypal and system to make sure we do not miss any.

  • +1

Hi rep, it has been 10 days since i have made the payment for this thru paypal and i went into my ac on your website and it says still awaiting paypal payment, please can you tellme whats going on?

    • -1

We have been going ever day after office to post office sending them off.

      Thats basically it.

  • +1

What happened to my order? I got Paypal receipt Transaction ID: 27616585J0876933J on 3 Aug, but no confirmation from 28mobile, and no order. What is happening??

    • DaveDave your order has been shipped. Early last week.

Its all by Airmail so we dont have trackings.

  • Gone very quiet hasn't he? How many have actually had confirmation now and been told their items posted? It has been a while.

At least I was refunded, waste of time really. Just know to stay away from now on.

    • Havent gone Quiet, just been focusing on mailing out those Noosys.

You got refunded directly on your request.

      Cheers Patrik

      • +1

I did not get refunded by request!

You refunded because you basically said my payment wasn't safe enough for you.

  • +3

My order status is still "Awaiting for Paypal Payment".???

  • +2

Rep, what happened to this PayPal Transaction ID: 7UF63020JL9625838?No confirmation received, website still showing awaiting PayPal payment.

  • +4

Hi Rep, when I log into your website it still says, "Awaiting for Paypal Payment." However, PayPal states, "Status completed." What's going on, it's been 15 days? My PayPal Transaction ID 9RU4432445242234W.

  • +3

    OP/Rep
    Has this order been dispatched?

Your site still has "Awaiting for Paypal Payment".

I expected better service for my 93c…

  • +2

So did I just throw away my precious money? I will actually need this soon. Did these guys scam us? Did anyone actually get one?

    • Did anyone actually get one?

I also would like to know this.

      • All I've seen is the photo of my hand addressed envelope covered in stamps ;-)
        Will post when it arrives.

        • +2

maybe that envelope is still in their office? …..

        • @ddhytz:
Well it probably hadn't even been sent 11 days ago, so we'll see.

  • +1

Over 5,500 clicks on this deal/bargain - over 1,500 orders (according to the Rep/OP).

Yet no one has reported receiving anything?

    • I got a refund, coz the OP thinks I'm a scammer.

  • I recieved a card in the mail from with a tracking number from singapore? Might be for this ???

    • It's a Hong Kong based business.

      • ah ok, dont recall ordering anything from singapore

Might be the Free Intel Galileo Board from Microsoft . IIRC microsoft sometimes ship from singapore

        • Hope so, mine might also be on its way.

Photo (in shipment notification email 10/8 6am) of hand addressed envelope ready for my shipment from this deal showed 4 stamps - HK from memory.

So will take a while for everyone to receive theirs.

        • @brucefromaustralia:

Photo (in shipment notification email 10/8 6am) of hand addressed envelope ready for my shipment from this deal showed 4 stamps - HK from memory.

          From what I could see:-
          1) the stamps were haphazardly placed across the envelope - not really acceptable to HK post;
          2) the address was scribbled over to make it illegible (that is - it was not the picture that was edited, it was actually ink on the envelope).

        • @A3Australia:
I doubt they sent it out with the scribble. As photos may be accessed by others, I wouldn't want you all to know my address, hence the obliteration. Otherwise a jealousy OzBargainer may hang around the letterbox waiting for my 88c delivery;-)

Doubt HK post would worry about placement of stamps. I've never posted in HK, but have posted from post offices in China. Neatness really didn't count. We require correct placement due to automated mail systems, but it will be delivered if not in that place, just may be slower. Years ago I used to post letters in Australia without any stamps, just a note to say I had no money to post Government paperwork - all were delivered.

But worrying about overseas mail less than 2 weeks after shipment, especially when of little worth, is a bit of an overreaction imho.
I found their systems & lack of communication earlier of concern, but have now mellowed & withdrawn my neg.

          Time will tell.

        • +1

          @brucefromaustralia:

You really are not making any sense. Think about what you wrote. "I doubt they sent it out with the scribble." So, what did they do? Write a new envelope? Transfer the stamps somehow? Use new stamps? So, why place stamps on the first envelope? Why is it hand written in the first place? Why 'scribble' all over the address so the envelope can not be posted? The whole thing is crazy. The haphazard placing of the stamps also leads one to be concerned about the senders sanity.

Does anyone here really believe this guy is hand writing names and addresses on thousands of envelopes and manually placing several stamps on all of them.

        • @A3Australia:
Isn't it just scribble added to photo to protect privacy?

I thought & that's what I guessed. Most of my friends in the region have cameras with ability to hand write on photos.

He said he is hand addressing when I questioned his business systems. His reason was the printed labels have tracking numbers, which don't apply in this case.

Seems you are getting a bit upset over 88c.

        • +2

          @brucefromaustralia:

It's not the amount, it's the principle.

If no one complains, OP walks away with thousands, then goes on to scam on other "deals".

Personally, I think this was bait to get good feedback to entice people into that heavily negged "deal" he posted a few days later that was substantially more in $$$ value.

If you check the links to the OP's history given in this thread, he has a documented history over a year on non-delivery. ANd he has been banned before on ozbargain, supposedly permanently. This was no one-off computer melt-down and she'll "all be fixed".

        • @redcreek200:

If they are scamming, we can report them to the Cybercrime division of the AFP.

        • @brucefromaustralia:

Isn't it just scribble added to photo to protect privacy?

          As I wrote previously:-
          ""From what I could see:-
          2) the address was scribbled over to make it illegible (that is - it was not the picture that was edited, it was actually ink on the envelope)."

        • @easternculture:

If they are scamming, we can report them to the Cybercrime division of the AFP.

Do the AFP now investigate Swedish scammers based in Hong Kong China?

        • @A3Australia:

They have agreements and arrangements with other Cyber-criminal organizations worldwide. If enough people complain about this scam, they would most likely investigate it

        • @redcreek200:

It's not the amount, it's the principle.

          .88 times 2,000 or 3,000 ?

Has anyone received their order? Maybe we should wait another week?

        • OP said 3800+ mailed on 16th. That's more than $3,534 (=0.93*3800)

        • @ddhytz:
Don't forget to divide that by 5 devices per envelope.

Anyway I think I have already complained enough to OP. Now to see if it arrives.

        • @brucefromaustralia:

Don't forget to divide that by 5 devices per envelope.

I do not think that is correct. He said 1,500 orders at one stage - early in the deal.

        • +1

          @A3Australia:
Check one of his replies on this page - "3800+ pieces posted as of yesterday."

  • i can confirm i recieved my noosy adaptors today - 5 packs as promised

    The parcel came from Singapore

    • That's good & a little confusing.
      But mainly good ;-)

    • +2

i can confirm i recieved my noosy adaptors today - 5 packs as promised
      The parcel came from Singapore

      Yea! You are the first.

Strange that the OP/Rep does not return to reply to comments, and to confirm orders/dispatch.

      • Did your order ever get past the "waiting for paypal payment" message after payment ?

        • Never checked my account after ordering.

      • Thanks EC!
Looks promising for the rest of us. Was it addressed by hand as shown in OP's photos? Did you order soon after deal posted?

My order would be a fair way down the pile, so will have to wait a bit longer.

        • +1

I ordered within 5 min of deal being posted. It was a printed address label attached to the envelope

  • wow, still showing "Awaiting for Paypal Payment"
rep is there any news about it? my invoice number is 5740902
ordered 2 packs and didnt get anything

    • +2

Rep/OP appears to have abandoned us - he does not reply to direct messages either.

      • +2

Will wait until the end of this week if I didn't get it will open PayPal case

        • +1

          I'll be doing the same.

  • +1

    Havent received mine either.

  • +4

    Started a dispute on Paypal.

    • +3

The case is closed within a couple of hour by refund

      • +1

Given that a refund was easy, I'm going to wait a little longer. I'd rather have the adaptors than the refund.

      • +1

Does this mean they never actually posted the adaptors to you?

        • +2

If they refund so fast I guess they were never even mailed.

        • @redcreek200:
That sounds like a valid argument. No one would want to refund (easily) if they had already shipped something that cost then time & money.

However squashy does not state the status of his order. If it is awaiting payment, I think that would be very valid grounds for PayPal to insist on a refund.

        • Although I did just receive an easy $35.16 PayPal refund for the underwhelming Dick Smith tablet that was delivered (on basis of not as described) :-)

So merchants do refund quickly for reasons other than suggested.

  • +1

So am i the only one that recieved the sim adaptors ?

    • Seems like it so far. But you ordered early. 3 weeks is not an uncommonly long time to wait on a cheap deal from Asia.
You are the chosen one, easternculture ;-)

    • +1

      received mine too

  • Hi Patrik,

    when should the units arrive?

    kind regards

    • +1

      Hi Patrik,
      when should the units arrive?
      kind regards

What part of "Rep/OP appears to have abandoned us - he does not reply to direct messages either" did you not understand?

  • +3

    still no order number/email confirmation.
    Yet I got spammed.

    • Sorry guys. Im here, my bad we shipped out most of them but since its air mail I cant get tracking number.

We shipped out with Sing Post though.

That is about 1% of the orders you received.

Will all orders be fulfilled ? Other than those you have refunded.

And, you have confirmed shipping around 35+ orders?

So, 55 orders accounted for - out of thousands.

Also, does anyone remember agreeing to receiving advertising eMails?

      • Patrick seemed keen to keep in contact with me. We had lots to discuss ;-) I really want to chat with someone who accuses me of "racist bs"!

But failing to deliver to so many is beyond an individual note to the merchant.

As mine is supposed to be in transit, Patrick can say he sent it (we saw my envelope posted here), so it's beyond his responsibility. I'll wait until the end of this week. Will not buy from him again.

Just a reminder not to miss the PayPal dispute 45 day cut off date. Otherwise say goodbye to your spare change spent on this deal.

          it's beyond his responsibility.

It's his responsibility to deliver goods to customers

        • @ddhytz:
As you can read, I did not say "it's beyond his responsibility", but that the merchant MAY claim that as an excuse for non delivery of product in a dispute.

[We all want the same thing - what we paid our 93c for;-)]

Unfortunately, a merchant can't be held responsible for non delivery by third parties (eg postal services, especially when there is no tracking number).

Of course, that is harder to claim when so many remain undelivered.

That's why I suggested we raise (mass) PayPal disputes rather than A3Australia's idea that we each send a note to Patrick.

It's not as if he doesn't know there is a problem here. He posted on the 30th, and receives an email every time a comment is posted. So post away!

PayPal is an online merchant's lifeline. Without it, they would have difficulty operating. PayPal has the power to act against merchants, that we lack as individuals.

An OzBargain ban may be in order if we don't see deliveries soon. There are only 2 reports of deliveries on 22 & 30 August.
