The Aston Club app allows users to open a tab and pay bills at bars, cafes, pubs and restaurants with their credit or debit card.

Unlike Uber, upon signing-up/joining, mobile numbers are verified but not cards, with temporary pre-authorisations only charged when a tab is opened.

How to signup and use Aston Club.

How to claim a voucher:

  1. Download the free Aston Club app and create an account.
  2. Select a venue from within the app.
  3. Press 'add'.
  4. Enter the voucher code.

As your first Club benefit they will email you a $40 Uber voucher after you have closed your first tab.

Essendon FC Members can receive 10% off the total cost of their tab when using Aston Club at selected venues.

    $20 credit still works for the places in Sydney, although it isn't showing up with the extra $50.

    Free $20 worth of food/drinks while in Sydney is great! Will get my friend to sign up so it's a free $40 in total :D

      The extra $50 will show up if you click on one of the 'valid' places, i.e. any of the named places in OP's list.

        i chose half moon.. however it only shows me add voucher where i entered WWTGUB20 and my credit card option.

        below that it says "open account"

        the next page takes me to a pre-auth page.

        am i missing something ?

        $50 only works at the 7 venues in Victoria that are listed above, you will have to choose 1 venue and apply the the credit to it, should work

    does anyone know if the credit can be used over 2+ transactions on different days or is it valid for only 1 transaction and any unused portion is forfeited?

      Yes, your credit is valid over multiple transactions.

      It's also only valid at the ones listed above so if you tap on any random venue in the list you'll probably see $0 credit until you tap on one of the participating venues where it'll show $50.

    Still haven't had a response fron Aston Club after the Sydney pub I allocated my credit to refused to accept Aston Club after I'd opened a tab. Not running smoothly or professionally.

        The emails from their rep are a masterpiece of not giving a sh*t but wanting to look good doing it.
        Not going to name the venue but remember, they make you choose your "most likely to visit" i.e. favourite venue & then make it unpleasant. Brilliant strategy for a new payment service.

          after i couldn't pay with the app at a venue due to a pos terminal or internet connection issue, i emailed aston club and they gave me $50 credit within a few days :)

          they didn't ask for the receipt i had offered them as proof, though the app tracks whenever you open a tab

        got a reply to my query from the team. this is ridiculous. so i get the $50 but i cant use the $50 because i entered the code once. there is no way to remove the code to still be able to redeem the $50.

        Unfortunately the $50 voucher is only for new users! Once you've opened your first tab or added any existing vouchers (i.e. wwtgub20) to you Aston profile, you are no longer a 'new user'.

        But the good news, keep an eye on your email and our social channels as we often send out existing user vouchers and run comps where you can win credit! You can also use your personal voucher code and refer a friend to Aston Club to earn unlimited Aston credit.

    I'm surprised this thread isn't getting hot for people who live in Melbourne. I just ate dinner at Lamaros with my partner and I can confirm that the $50 credit by Aston does apply. The restaurant itself was also promoting the app as well. I got $50 off my bill and got an email for a $40 code to use with UBER. Almost $90 worth free… People here go nuts for $5 but not $90… HMMM…

    Anyway, will sign my partner up on her phone and try out one of the other participating restaurants for a free brunch this weekend…

    Also, for those who said they are stuck at the account number screen with the spinning logo, fact is, do this at the restaurant, as they restaurant has to manually accept you via their system once you hit open account :) Just in case some of you guys think the app is stuffed, it's not, they should really add something to say "waiting for restaurant to confirm" or something, instead of a spinning logo…

    5 friends went to Lamaro's. They would not allow split bill in dining room, but were more than happy to honour individual bar tabs for pre-dinner drinks in the bar.

    My credit expired even though there was no expiry listed on this post (even though a rep has participated in the thread).

    This also happened to two friends of mine. We were looking at using the credit but were in no rush due to the lack of expiry.

    What a big let down.

    I just had the same experience when going to dine at one of the listed restaurants. Went in expecting to still have my $50 credit which I only got less a month and a half ago and credit was no longer there! dodgy!
