How long did it take before they accepted your contact request?

    • +1

      I got mine almost immediately.

      • Took them 11 minutes to confirm contact, they then asked this:

        1. The Acer Aspire E 11 has a stylish, smart design, much like the suits that can be bought on this famous London street. Use Bing Maps to tell me what’s at these coordinates, 51.511806,-0.141285

I answered about 10 minutes ago with no response yet. Surely this is a Skype bot and not someone sitting there and responding?

they are in usa, so please add them during usa time, t&c above said the first prize for 150,000 - $2 skype credit.

      easy task.

  • In theory, this game is a competition.

    • yeah competition if you want to win a bigger prize. but for the skype credit, you can get it now while you can (150,000 - $2 skype credit).

      • It requires skill and competency with coordinates with a Bing map. Its not garunteed if you gave them the wrong location.

        • if that person don't understand above instruction, then I don't think that person will take part this activity in the first place

  • VPN Skype deal unlimited month… wasn't bad either, for simple task;-)
..Reminds me to get around to trialing that.

  • Erm… granted I almost never use Skype, but anytime I have, it's been completely free… so what does "$2 free Skype credit" mean?
Apologies in advance if this is an extremely naive question.

When you want to call an actual telephone number it charges you.

      • Ah, I see, thank you for explaining that! :)

    • +1

' Would you like txts with that :-)'
..a little relatively costly anyway/ http://rebtel.vouchercodex.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/re… compared with peers.

      • That's a pretty meaningless table unfortunately daveros, cause it's lacking any real information (like whether the charges specified are "flag-fall", or "by-the-minute" charges, any T&C, etc.).
I'll plus it anyway though, because I reckon anyone who responds to anything at this ungodly hour deserves a plus. And comparing the companies is interesting, even though at this preliminary stage I have almost no understanding of what it means.

      • Nearly always per min with the apps like Viber and Hangouts and with VoIP. \
Skype tends to throw things out with inflationary fixed starts and other stuff, effectively to sell monthly packages & what not.

  • What's the correct response. For me it pinpoints the middle of a street called Savile Row.

    • Same, I responded with that but no answer.

      • I submitted my answer last week. Maybe not the answer they are looking for.

        • just pm the guys again, i didn't get response initially, then i said hello
then he gave me the $2 credit voucher hahaaha

        • @joannatan:

OK, sent another message and he/she sent me the voucher. I wonder how they can respond to so many messages without crashing their computer.

        • @neil: no idea mate, but have a look what time they try to call me on this picture http://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/51732/24584/acer.jpg

  • Does the $2 credit has a expiry date?

  • +1

Added contact (via iphone app) but no response. messaged and called, no response.
    Laggggg…. ;)

Keep forgetting that Microsoft own Skype. Maybe it's just a push to get Bing used

    • sent message to him hallo

      • Yeah, tried hello among other expletives…

        • try ring him as well, it seems real human mate.

        • @joannatan:
Cheers. Tried calling but it rang for about a minute and I gave up.
          Will do

        • @Gish: Got a reply at 8.23pm. Replied and then no answer.
          Good fun!

They actually got back to my reply Skype message saying it didn't work and gave me a new working one! Impressed.

      • Does the credit have an expiry date?

        • I have same issue too.. they'd given me 2 codes and both did not work!
