      Got confirmation to say that paypal will refund me, yet as of right now still nothing in paypal account or bank account.

      Payment debited from my credit card on 14/08 (thats the date on my statement, even though the deal was posted here 15/08). What's the bet they used the 14th because thats what the date was in the USA. Dodgy firetrucks.

      Paypal, Western Digital, and CBA…. a plague on all your houses!

        My case has been closed. I paid partly with paypal balance, and rest via credit card. I got my paypal balance back, but nothing back on my credit card. This is ridiculous.

          Have you checked to see if you have a PayPal balance? Mine refunded to PayPal then was an extra step to transfer back to account

          @azazal: Yeh, the amount that was paid by paypal balance, that balance has been returned. But the amount that was paid by credit card is no where to be found. they said they have refuned back to my credit card, but when i check my credit card, i don't see a refund.

          @scottb721: Oh, I was referring to apnamasti since he said he partly paid by PayPal and rest by cc. I understand the PayPal bit being charged but not the cc.

          @docpol: I paid via payal in one transaction. What paypal did was used what ever was in my paypal account bal, and the remaining amount was pulled from my cc.

          Edit: just checked my netbank, and it's finally there. Thank GOD.

    I didn't get one, got refunded (paypal), I get one at $359 with the 10% discount and now… I have a WD email with a 20% discount. The drive is $399, so 20% off that takes it down to…. sheesh. I still like WD drives, I always have, I go back to the i386 days, but this debacle makes one wonder about their marketing management.

    It shows once again that "Management" = "Lack of Management"

    They lost me as a customer, instead I just ordered ~$500 worth of seagate drives from Amazon.

    Apparently some people did get a drive, they paid direct by credit card (not through PayPal).

    It's crazy they (re)sold the same drive for $40 more.

      same, 129 each x5, so that's 750 bux they missed out on, was going to grab three of these drives… (4TBx6) but not likely after that customer service.

    I ordered the 6 TB DUO last month. After two weeks my order got cancelled along with others. I though it’s all done. But surprisingly on Sep 8th I got email from WD saying they have posted the 6 TB DUO. I got the drive after two days. I called them and asked why they posted the drive after they have cancelled my order but WD rep said cancellation email was sent by mistake. Likely I got the drive for $240
