    Sexist much?

    • At least you don't have to be female to join.
I joined and am a male, I think.

Not sure what "at least" means.
If this was called a "men's club", there's be outrage in every newspaper and on every TV channel in the country.

There is a huge double standard you'll find everywhere - it can be described in one word "sexist". Cryptos was exactly right.

  • Instore also? It looks like all these stores are included?

    How do these "ecards" work?

    "Who is behind SwitchedOn Women?
SwitchedOn Women is backed by the consumer network One Big Switch and Seven West Media."

    prepare for the spamolanche

    • Also wondering what is the difference between a WISH Gift Card and an eGift Card. What do you get? The only clause of section 6 "Redeeming your WISH Gift Card or eGift Card" that refers to eGift cards is 6.3, phone purchases at Cellarmasters. All other clauses mention WISH Gift Card and only WISH Gift Card. Logically that would imply that the eGift card can only be used for phone purchases at Cellarmasters.

      • In the Big W Entertainment Book thread it was fairly firmly established that the eCards work pretty must identical to the physical Wish Gift Cards for nearly all intents and purposes. You can even print them out, etc. and works across the Woolies Group (possibly with the exception of Dick Smith and as noted below, Woolies Caltex).

    • I think ruperts rags have their grubby paws in this aswell.

  • dont car clubs have this as well (RACQ etc)?

    • This is the first I have heard of "eGift cards" being sold at a 5% discount and accepted at woollies.

    • The car clubs usually sell the physical gift cards (and then charge you postage to deliver them).

You don't need to sign up to SOW to place an order.

Thanks OP - been looking for 5% off the eGift cards.

  • whats the difference between the physical and egift cards? just the plastic they are printed on?

    • e- is electronic. no plastic

      • thats the only difference?

    • Difference between the two types of WISH cards:

egiftcard: Instant, cannot get lost in the mail, pain in the butt to whip out your phone and find the pdf and type in the number each time. CANNOT be used at all stores, eg. Not at Caltex Woolworths regardless of what BS they tell you. Staff look at you funnily when you want to pay using an e-giftcard, this is new to them and only about 1/2 have even heard of what it is.

giftcard: Takes time to deliver, can get lost in the mail, fast and convenient to use, can be used at all stores easily, everybody knows what it is and how to use it.

Trick with the e-giftcard, you can turn this into a physical card. I've only been knocked back at the Ashfield NSW store. Every other store around Sydney and at the Gold Coast have had no problems doing it. Mind you, you will need someone who is competent to do so.

Yes, you can do it at a checkout or a self check out with staff assistance. Yes you can split the payment up into multiple transactions, eg. 3x $100 payments to get a $300 giftcard.

  • Anyone bought the e-giftcard from them and actually received it?
(I made an order through the other deal before but payment ended up being declined and of cause I never received the cards.)
Just want to check it before I put an order in. (I saw on Facebook that someone said she had never received the e-giftcard email.)

got mine ($100) yesterday. Took a couple of days from order date.
As far as i can tell, the e-gift card can work at all the same shops as the plastic ones, including Caltex.

However, the woolies people don't appear to be trained up on it yet so there was an initial wait for someone to figure how the whole thing works.

    • Thanks for the reply saneo. Can you tell me when did you buy yours and when did you receive it?
I put my order in Wednesday night (10 September 2014 21:03), and I'm still waiting for it now….I'm hoping I can get it before the weekend…

      • bought mine on the 5th. good luck with it.

  • For how long is this offer valid?

  • Tried on Dick Smith, normal Wish card works, but eCard numbers is reported as invalid.
