I just got this email from the mob I use called Pulsed media, I have been with them for years and have always found them decent value. I bought a new service (a Super100) and used the 20% recurring to get it for €8.79.

If you choose to use my referral link I would be grateful, but I am happy to share the deal regardless.
The link in the thumbnail is straight to their main page without any referral link. (As per the rules)

I am unsure of the time this deal will last, but 100 sign ups won't last (I already have 1 so it is a least down to 99)
Their setups are all automated and pretty much instant now, they used to be manually done which took a day or three. They are a work in progress, but have been reliable for me.

  • so how does the traffic work? is it only uploaded speeds effected? seems like the best way to download stuff without worrying about pesky isp emails :P

not only that it avoids throttling by certain networks (often wireless) ie. vividwireless, i'm still hardpressed to change from meggafast though, I know they're cheap and nasty but it suits my needs.

    • Are you referring to the traffic limits? Yes uploads from the seedbox only are affected by the limits, but I have a few hundred torrents seeding on a major private tracker and didn't hit the limit. At least I don't think I did.
Download and FTP speeds are not limited other than up to stated speed AFAIK.

  • I'm also thinking the super100, so the storage capacity is space on the "server" right? you can delete add new files whenever you wish? If thats the case might go the lowest plan and mitigate 230gb at a time…

    • +1

yes you can delete and add new files through either your rtorrent client or from the ftp server

      • sweet :) sounds better by the minute. also do you or anyone have experience with their DC++ server?

    • +1

      EDIT
That's the plan I was on a while ago. I was on the 300GB one actually. I remember not wanting the 20mbps up limit. The capacities are 25% burstable for short periods too.

You can add/delete files whenever you like. If you are using a private tracker, just wait until the torrent has seeded back to required ratio and delete it once you have grabbed it off the server if you want to clear some space. (by web UI or FTP, I use filezilla)

  • Dayem, 1000mb/1000mb seed is pretty attractive.

awesome :) just waiting for my server name and im good to go (Y)

  • Why would you use this instead of newsgroups?

    • +1

I've found I can't find everything using newsgroups; due to server retention.

      • Is this method trackable? From memory, torrent is not a good method any more, that's why I use newsgroup now… (although retention and dmca kills it most of the time)

        • Extremely difficult to track. So essentially, no.

          @Flyerone:

i can download files on the go (mobile). the app they use is also good (on windows). liking the service :)
